I like Usman Mukhtar but I am very disappointed to see that he ignored Urdu just like the rule of law is ignored in our country. Please do convey this message to Usman Mukhtar please try to own your national language. Most importantly, it's one of the basic manners to speak language in which the interview is being conducted. One more thing I would suggest is that don't forget your audience. Most of them can better understand Urdu. Thanks

This is my pet peeve as well. Sadly, we're a colonized nation in our minds still, and one with an inferiority complex. Other nations fight to keep their culture and languages alive. We're the opposite. Our government does nothing to instill that pride in our children. This is the sort of thing that's taught in schools.

@behindthestory6434 I grew up and live in the west, and it's easier to express myself in English. That still doesn't have anything to do with what I'm saying. It's not that English is a bad language or that one shouldn't speak it. It's about Pakistani elite culture which values a foreign language above Urdu or any other local language as a marker of status and prestige.

@rehanaqamar7989 Yes, we should respect every culture and language but in this scenario, the guest should respect the host and his own language first. Questions in Urdu and answers in English does not make you cool rather it gives a gesture that I understand questions in Urdu but to answer those questions in Urdu makes me feel low. Although, he says I am not a Burger Bacha, still he acts truly like a burger 🍔😅.@@yahyakhan-zk8iq

Speaking English does not make you educated. Having a sense of what, how and where should you speak 'what' makes you educated. Indians men Sikh community apni language ko jitna fakhar se own karte hen wo pooray South Asia men koi aur community nahi Karti. Does that mean they are not educated??? 😂
