Goosebumps. The Cure is one of the few bands during their wave time who could touch the human soul in a special way with their slow, melancholic songs. Time seems to stand still for the duration of the song. “Trust” proves this impressively. See also the songs: The Funeral Party, Sinking, Apart and Faith.

As tears force out of my eyes, this song reminds me why I feel a sense of pride when my 16 year old daughter says that to see the Cure live would make her life feel complete... I still remember being 12 years old listening to Boys Don't Cry and feeling that there was something cool here.. Once Standing on the Beach came out I was completely hooked... The way that each album after that had a completely new feeling has always amazed me, with every album having emotive and dark feeling songs that give those depressed moments in life (especially the teen years) a place to feel home instead of alone. Having only seen them live once for the Wish concert in '95, I could see them a hundred more times; I loved that there's not a lot of crap in between songs, they just start the next song and take us further into their world. To see them with my kids would be amazing to say the least; I hope we get the opportunity, not at some festival, but a real concert where the sound fills you from all around, the only way to hear the Cure... anyway just a moment of thoughts...

Now, reaching 40 and hearing it all again with my daughter. It always sends out the comforting message that it's ok to be weird : ) Strangely comforting x

This morning I had a Zoom divorce. 13 years ended in 5 minutes. We both loved The Cure it was the first show we saw together. This will be our swan song. I loved you more than I can say. Why won't you just believe?

Best Band in the world
I saw the Wish Tour in Philadelphia in 1993. I went by myself with a broken collar bone. I was a fan of the Cure then but after seeing this concert with songs like this I was amazed. I had never seen anything that good before. That was it...I put everything down and have been a complete fanatic since that day. 25 years later and I still love them, even more now. I'm so glad they were with me for all that time.

@@ordreancien you're right, and I knew that. I must have hit 3 instead of 2. It's funny because i have a terrible memory, and I have been to 27 Cure shows since the 1992 show in Philly but I can name every one and the dates.
"Still the hardest part for you, is to put your trust in me.I love you more than I can say, why won't you just believe?" I have always found those words to be so touching... You feel for the person wanting the trust, but also for the person who lost their ability to trust.

Gorgeous song but not sure it's fit for a wedding. But i don't know you, so bless.

I remember Strange Days,Pictures Of You and Just like a Dream. "You, soft and only, you, lost and lonely, strange as angels"...beautiful lyrics. And yes, having been lucky to have lived my teenage years through The Cure, the memories come flooding back and I smile at the overly sensitive, heartfelt, melancholy teenager!. Now, reaching 40 and hearing it all again with my daughter. It always sends out the comforting message that it's ok to be weird : ) Strangely comforting x

Most amazing band. After years, every time I go back and listen to their songs, still cut to the heart... ❤️
Thanks Bob....to exist...
Touch of the soul and heart
I think what makes this song so great is actually how simple it is lyrically. Some songs dont need to be overblown. It is something that we can all relate to when he sings mournfully "There is really no-one left at all... There is only you". Wish is a fantastic album and if you don't own it, you should.
What a gorgeous song....perfect
Me too cry all the time
Beautiful, good to see Perry back in the band too.
I listened to this and I just held my breath because this song is so beautiful. Thank you Robert Smith... thank you The Cure. I loves you then and I still love you now.
TIEMPOS PASADOS QUE YA NO VOLVERAN!!! THE CURE !! POR SIEMPRE Y PARA SIEMPRE!!!🖤🤟💀
What a stunning song! Robert Smith's voice pierces your heart. Not enough words to praise this band.
I have to say their music is so powerful, you feel it through your whole body ❤
Was für ein Song!!!! Geht so unter die Haut. Ich bin ein Fan von the Cure seit 35 Jahren und finde die Musik immer noch fantastisch. Und Robert Smith ist sich immer treu geblieben. Toller Sound, tolle Band, toller Mann.
No words... first time i heard this, i was frozen. When i depart this beautiful earth, this is the last song i want to hear. The most beautiful song iv ever heard... Thank You Robert.
No matter what genre of music you listen to, this is just a really beautiful piece of music.

Tem horas que não sei... tem tantas músicas divinas do Cure, mas essa é muito mais do que qualquer palavra espetacular que eu possa dizer!
Rober Smith, such a simple name for the greatest poet, song writer and band leader of my (and a few other) generation. I never thought in 1984 I would have The Cure on my IPod in 2011, I never thought there would even be such a thing as an IPod..... The Cure the greatest band ever, Robert Smith the greatest poet and musician ever...
I have no words. This was my 15 year old soundtrack
anyone watching in March 2020 in self isolation,,,,,,,,,, please no this man is THE ZENMASTER of ROCK

When that organ comes in....no words, just feel it in my heart. Then he just pleads.
perfection is possible... !
Just PERFECT. "I love you more than I can say,why won't you just believe?" What else?
Has the best voice of the 80s ,brings back so many memories jamming in the rehearsal space .so many hours spent there with no regrets. Ahhh where did the time go seems like yesterday.anyone else feel this way ?

In a world that can be so literally fucked-up, people being so cruel and hateful towards one another, songs like this remind us that not all is lost! The late 80's and early 90's were such a different time. A lifetime ago now. Robert's music is so timeless, pure and innocent. As long as we have it we can close our eyes and be 25 again!
Fantastica
This song is so strong and passionate. I'm overwhelmed by both the lyrics and music. Just a genius combination of talent really.
