I was driving back from the beach..it was the first summer I was there without my daughter, who my ex had been keeping from me for 5 months. My son and I missed her so much. He was in the back seat asleep and my girlfriend was wiping this tears away from my face as I listened to disintegration in its entirety. The radio towers blinking red against the night sky in late august made them even more pronounced, and they remind me of daughter as that is one of our (things) together. Love song comes on and I truly couldn’t hold anything back at that point. I had been so numb for months, that I didn’t look visibly distressed, but the rears were just rolling down onto my shirt, endlessly. Finally once that song was over I calmed down a bit. As I heard the last few instruments fade away on disintegration, I shut off the video. As that was the last song on the album, or so I had previously thought. For the next 40 minutes I tried to articulate passionately the sense of awe that song (and many others by the cure) gives me, telling her I refused to play more music because “what am I suppose to follow that up with?” you’ll be happy to know. I experienced homesick for the first time that night, accidentally hitting next on the KZread playlist, as well as the untitled song to follow. You’ll be even happier to know I got my daughter back

Hey hey, just one more and I'll walk away All the everything you win turns to nothing today And I forget when to move when my mouth is this Dry and my eyes are bursting hearts in a blood-stained sky Oh it was sweet, it was wild and oh how we I trembled, stuck in honey Honey cling to me, so just one more Just one more go Inspire in me the desire in me to never go home (Doo doo doo doo doo doo) (Doo doo doo doo doo) Oh just one more and I'll walk away All the everything you win turns to nothing today So just one more, just one more go inspire in me The desire in me to never go home To never go home (Doo doo doo doo doo doo)

Life. A finite cycle of events, meetings, and departures. Friends discovered, others forgotten. Reminiscing everyone I've encountered. Do these memories have a purpose in my head, or will they simply fade into obscurity, never to be remembered again. Nothing seems the way I once knew, everything is altered. Living in a disillusioned state as the world's time brinks near my end. I so fond for the yonder, outside this crowded and fruitless place.

One of the keyboardist masterpieces of the Cure...perhaps my favorite composition by Robert Smith's (un)merry little Gothic band.
My mother pass away yesterday , this song give some kind of peace but the pain full my heart .
Only Roger plays this so well with Simon
Have to agree every song in the disintegration album is awesome...
Amo todo lo que abarca esta canción, desde la letra, hasta el piano, la voz, los violines, las guitarras, el bajo, la batería... TODO.
Greatest song ever. Wow, Robert , genius. Blown away again and again.
Why is this song touch me so much....
What a beautiful song and a sensual voice. I love Robert Smith!
Can't stop listening to this song, love it.

This is one of my absolutely fav songs all categories ever. I´m so glad I saw them performing this live in Gothenburg 1990 :)
Truly beautiful
Fantastic... a masterpiece by THE CURE :)
im 10.000 miles from my home...in the other side of the world...HOMESICK..!!!! ONE OF MY FAVORITES SONGS
I remember, me being 17 ,stuck in heartbreak, listening to this album day in day out, smoking pot, reading, no drinking the lyrics, , forgetting about the outside world, and drowning in the guitars - like forever

Melodic perfection

A good and bad relationship I think is what they meant. Can't go and can't leave metaphore.

Great album
Such a beautiful song.
Masterpiéce!,,🌏🌍👌🥇🧚🏻♀️
I absolutely love the restraint
Just wna say dis is one of the most beautiful things ive seen and its defo in my top 5 songs of all time, esp this version live. My no1 song of all time is probs new dawn fades by joy division, a great band like the cure and from the same period.
There's one version I love live and it's in a side B. I think it might be the Fascination Street single from 1989. It has the most beautifully mixed live sound. Robert Smith's acoustic guitar is discernible and well equalized.
this music always cures my soul, makes me sad and happy, weak and strong in the same time, only the cure put some magic in their music ....:)
This version is as good if not better than any on the '89 prayer tour
I love this song.
I so fond for the yonder, outside this crowded and fruitless place.
superb. it just connects & brings you to another place
what a "chef-d'oeuvre"!! cant wait to go and see them live this summer at osheaga festival !! been waitin for this for a long time!!
Melancolía...
Excellent album 🌹🌹🌹🌹
Lovesick
Engulfed in sorrow, I live in this song. That's all..nothing worked out for me.
MUSIC FROM ANOTHER GALAXY
I thought i was a fan before i heard this one. Now i have to take a trip out of america just to catch a show.
reaches so deeply to the old memories...
I'm floating from a instrument to another.....to another..........to another Sadness.........happiness........homesickness.......
Its like a 'dark love song ' which Robert had going on then.
