that would defeat the goal of making the cuckoo videos. they want the cuckoo to live for views obviously

If you are going to return the baby birds, you should consider taking the cookoo out as it will keep on pushing the other two birds.

Not a good idea. The mother cuckoo is watching at a distance. If he throws out the little parasite, the cuckoo mama will come back and kill the babies.

They're feeding the baby that's outside of the nest! That's wonderful, since sometimes birds don't care- if it's a beaks length away then it's nobody to them

My wife and kids noticed a bird's nest in the back of our property and there were three eggs that were laying in some hay near our tomato plant vines, they were not broken or cracked, and they fell just perfectly. I went and looked in the nest and saw this cuckoo just chilling in there. I put all three eggs back in the nest and told my youngest daughter to go get me two plastic Easter eggs halves and I put that cuckoo into that plastic Easter egg and sealed it up, let us see how strong it is to get out of that. One side is yellow and the other is green.

Looks like cuckoo is smaller than the two genuine chicks and it has tired itself out. Also closer to the entrance so they're most like to get more food.

No, once a cuckoo chick pushes all of the other native chicks and eggs out of the nest the parent birds will then take care of the lone cuckoo chick as if it was their own. That is this species of cuckoo’s strategy of survival. It will never stop trying to push all the other contents of the nest out until it is the only chick that remains.

親鳥が卵を産みつけるのが遅すぎて、ある程度他の雛が育ってから産まれたか、雛のサイズが大きい鳥の巣に産み付けてしまったのでしょうね。
