Man, those were the days. 1998 downtown Dallas. Saw these guys at The Lizard Lounge. Not even the main area, in the corner of the front bar. THEY KILLED IT, and are still keeping it real twenty years later. Nice!!!

@@hededcdn I haven't been to it. Last time I was there was for a Production House Rave. Not one of the warehouse style good ones. The outside back area was larger and they had a big deck outside upstairs. Must've been 2001-2002ish. Hippy Flipping, and FLYING!! My soon to be wife was freaking out though, and we left pretty early. Ended up walking around Deep Ellum first, then driving to Lower Greenville and chilling at bars. Driving that high was insane, and felt like a video game. LOL, I don't recommend it.

There is a very good reason The Crystal Method has been my all-time favorite band since the late 90's, and right here is why. No one, but NO ONE can do it like these guys. Never stop Jordan & Scott. Vegas and Tweekend are legendary albums and still hold up. Breakbeats forever.

first electronic album i ever bought was vegas. When people ask me the age old question of who your fav musician/s I always say The crystal Method.....these guys are kind of idols to me because they are what got me into the electronic music scene WAAAAAAY back when....i was barely 15 yrs old :)

Eric Piotrowski I'm not sure I agree with that. They've changed over the years and so has their sound. I hear people say similar things about the chemical brothers, but in many ways their sound is way more mature and complex than it was years ago.

Exactly!! Not only the first electronic album I purchased, but one of the first albums I purchased with my own money. Also around 15 years old. It was too good to ignore. I like to think my Jive Bunny and the master mixers cassingle years before was my nudge towards electronic music but we all know that doesn't cut it. It was totally 'VEGAS' the year it was released, early prodigy around the same time...and DJ Krush somewhere in the following year. Shit I would hate to have turned 15 in the last 15 years.... I'm thinking...owning a mobile phone at like 13 years old while Cher - 'Life after love' is on the radio... opening your mind to music. Lucky us. We copped a lot of age appropriate changes & still do. Peace.

My first albums (in order) Dig your own hole (Chemical Brothers), Vegas (Crystal Method), Fat of the land (Prodigy). At their concerts I've been to, I've met these guys three times afterwards and they were awesome.

There probably gen x like me. Mind you my parents are boomers they also had great music. Jungle, breakbeat and d&b was my generation the early nineties were banging. I live in Coventry UK. We had the eclipse, them the edge a d the coliseum some of the best rave clubs in the country the 90's are a blur to me too much e or molly as they call it now. Not that I'm advocating drugs that said who doesn't want to feel pure love.

These guys are way before their time and im so thankful because the frequencies the gangstalkers use to attack me with are spoofed by these amazing artists and the music they made so long ago... TODAY I LOVE THEM EVEN MORE THAN BACK IN THE DAY !!! they deserve way more credit than they get... completely underrated today. Hall of Fame in my book.

To verify, probably my all time favorite dou, are simply mixing during this video ( and are killing it ) But they also play live instruments and their live set is... well it's worth seeing.

I don't know what people are bitching about. These pioneers of dance music are more active on the decks than most DJs out there. People forget the DJ was never meant to be front and centre. They were stuffed in a dark corner while people would enjoy the music and interact through dancing and grooving with each other rather than bobbing their heads, fixed on two guys playing records. Oh yeah, and they're The Crystal Fucking Method!

This is a pre recorded set. It's beyond obvious, he even misses switches that he hits prior and even hits those same switches for other parts of the song right after. Plus everything he is doing isnt even in time with the track. As a drummer, its really bothers me this whole video. Granted I like the crystal method, but this is kind of funny to watch.

Бигбита, если быть точным, брейк бит это немного другое. Хотя Prodigy - первопроходцы в этом жанре и им тоже следует отдать должное.

Ну смотря от чего отталкиваться, молодёжь конечно не все но мало кто ценит Техно, Рейверы есть и будут всегда, но тупая музыка её все больше, попсы раскрученной однодневок, The Prodigy как и Crystal method, играют в живую концерты разная уже публика но биг бит актуален, на фестивалях, на опен ейр, сейчас на Атлас Викенд 2018 выступили Chemical brothers огонь просто концерт и всем очень пошло хорошо в Киеве, в прошлом году были на отцах The Prodigy ну кроме как мощи что ещё сказать о самом фестивале, да был слем опасный с фаерами, и тонны пыли, потом отходняк был жуткий, но само выступление конечно было отличное!!!!! 👍🙂👍🙂👍🙂👍🙂😉😉
