Absolutely stunning i love the Overlord

The Overlord is by far my favorite ninjago villian. One of the main reasons is his theme and motif, amazing stuff by Jay and Michael. So glad to see it return in Crystalized!

There’s just something about The Overlord’s theme that’s just… hoo boy. Straight up chilling. This is an awesome mix by the way!

OOOOOH thank you so much for this remix! I love the Overlord's theme so much, and I'm glad to see it return practically a decade later! The Overlord wasn't my favorite antagonist, but I liked him enough, and I have a feeling this season will flesh him out and make him a new favorite of mine. The first time I noticed the connection between the Overlord and the alias of the Crystal King was listening to their soundtracks. The long violin chords you hear during the Overlord's original theme (0:46) sound eerily similar to the chorus you hear during the Crystal King's theme, just sped up and pitched higher. (1:55)

Your skill and daring have impressed me. But you have chosen a poor champion." Harumi: "I don't understand?" Overlord: "You have placed your faith in Garmadon. A poor choice. In all fairness, unlike the sequel trilogy Palpatine, The Overlord actually had a reason to return again; all of the chaos that was going on from The Sons of Garmadon to the rise of The Crystal King was fueling him at a alarming rate, The Overlord was said by Master Wu to feed off of anger, hate, and evil. . and man oh man was that on the rise. So, yeah, this out-of-nowhere return actually makes sense; which is a nice touch honestly. =)

@@dodolordxd Oh absolutely yes, there is no denying that; I was just refuring too him physically returning as an active threat rather than just the embodiment of evil needed to maintain the balance. Sorry if I worded my previous reply confusingly.

All hail the Crystal King!

Now that the Overlord has been a figure of evil over the course of the show and probably won't show up in it again, I can say that I would totally see him being not just the main source of evil in the Ninjago world but also in other shows.

Okay, that is a AMAZING idea; The Overlord's evil influence reaching beyond the Ninjago lore will certainly be quite the feat. How many main villains are there who we as the audience can say influence the dark shadow beyond their respected IP; I know I can't think of any (only two major villains, but no main villains).
