It was a day consisting of endless marching to the same 3 pieces of music over and over and over again, with about 90% of the funeral spent not talking about Elizabeth herself or her achievements but instead talking about Jesus and quoting the Bible. There were an endless number of very ho-hum 1950s style hymns with only one piece of genuinely beautiful music performed in an appropriate manner for the occasion (the stunning piece sung when the coffin was first brought into the abbey). The organist made many many many mistakes in their playing on the way out, the bum notes screeching over everything. If this is one of the greatest things you've ever witnessed I wonder if you have witnessed much at all. Elizabeth II deserved less plodding about and more of a genuine funeral rather than a multi-million pound walkabout that sent everyone to sleep.

The difference is at those times, the condition of the dying Queen Mary was vividly announced to the public, even a report on her gastric condition. The Queen Elizabeth II (and Prince Philip) announcement, however, didn't explictly told us about her ailing condition, just the doctor's evaluation and how's she is "comfortable" inside Balmoral, which makes us wonder what could be the exact illness that cause of their demise.

It is funded by the Sovereign Grant, which comes from the Crown Estate, lands that have never been owned by the taxpayer in over 800 years. Angela Yabar Can't watch the Crown after its portrayal of King George VI . They could easily have found an actor who was actually like him physically - slender, athletic, and fairly handsome, actually. Instead, their portrayal border on slander - not to diss or badmouth the actor, who was probably doing his best. However, King George VI had kind eyes not practically vacant and cow like ones. For a reasonably good portrayal of him the made for TV movie Bertie and Elizabeth is best or even The King's Speech ( although Bertie's eyes were blue not brown and he never yelled at this therapist - their relationship was always friendly and professional).Still, for a reasonably decent portrayal of King George VI watch Bertie and Elizabeth or The King's Speech. To see the real Bertie ( King George VI) watch King George VI and Elizabeth A Royal Love Story.

Not my tired ass brain thinking “wtf are they doing with smartphones?” at 2:39 😅
Interesting that many of these statements, made without context, could easily apply to the most recent queen as well.
😍👑Queen Mary....❤.....🕯🙏🍂🍂🍂Bosnia i Herzegovina🇵🇾
& here we are, almost come full circle
History repeats itself
Queen Mary ...you couldn't look more, "Queen" like ...than Mary
It seems like history is repeating itself. Queen Elizabeth ll lost her father just the year before in 1952, then a year later she loses her grandmother. Fast forward 70 years and our new king, Charles lll is going through a similar thing. Losing his father Prince Philip then his mother, the Queen , the year after.

Yes, a great Queen. We shall miss her like forever.
69 years later, Prince Charles finally becomes King Charles III. Long live the King 👑
3:40 Amazing. In this scene, three sovereigns. And a Queen Mother now twice removed.
What a great and gracious Lady. My Mother when she was a child lived during a time that Britain had three Queens and no King. Amazing. I'll likely never see a Queen (in her own right) again in my lifetime... 🤯
