Jhonny X Trean the difference between that is that Sarah G was representing the Country just like other participants in that event and therefore there are people behind the decision making on what song, outfit, etc. Here you have KZ saying that she wants to sing in Filipino. That is not to discredit Sarah G, just saying that Filipino Artists should bring native language more to the world stage. A lot of Japanese people I met personally find Filipino language Kawaii (cute, charming,etc,)

@@TheMhel26 Well yes he wrote a song in tagalog. But the point I'm bringing up is homegrown Filipino talent who would proudly say I want to sing in my language. Apol de ap did his part but he was nurtured in the states. Not to discredit him, but I noticed that a lot of homegrown artists sing covers in English rather than Filipino or sing originals in Filipino to promote themselves to the world.

But do you know our folk song was singing in the whole world and our filipino language was a popular right now and before. so don"t focus in one singer that she sang a tagalog in the radio station unfair to the other singers that did before..

As much as I love Katrina and Morissette, KZ has the most potential to break out internationally. Aside from having immense talent she's comfortable speaking publicly.

OMG !!! This was live people . She is really in another level . What made this more difficult is that before she sing , they compared her to Lauryn Hill . And they say bisaya people can't speak good English. I guess they were proven wrong. Even KZ can articulate much more fluently in tagalog than most tagalog speaking people. That's language versatility at it's finest.

Actually in Cebu and similar urban cities in Visayas and Mindanao where Visayan is the main language, they're more fluent in English, aside from their mother tongue. So basically, they speak more in Bisaya and English.

Exactly! It will show Filipino singers aren't just all about belting. It's like a stereotype already. I mean it's not 100% true...we have awesome singers who sing in different genres with finesse
