It really disappointed me how Wendi stressed that she was in such a hurry on the morning of the murder, running late, that she didn’t have time to take a shower ~ or even wash her hands. Yet, she had the time to travel so far out of her way to get to the liquor store and lunch ~~ and even get into a chat with the liquor store clerk over her beautiful blue eyes. Nobody questioned her about this, not even Georgia. I don’t know why Detective Isom let this slide, and even acted to understand her explanation of taking her so called “short cut.” This was a big hole in her story. And, he believed her and told her she was not a suspect! This woman should not be allowed to be walking on our streets. It’s a travesty.

Georgia had to be careful what questions to ask as she can not use the answer if Wendi goes to trial. Be patient..all the questions about her story will come out when it’s her turn 🤗

@@justmejo9008 Good point. I think she is probably the real mastermind behind all of this. As Jeff Lacasse said, she is extremely manipulative. Wendi KNEW how to set it up, get it spinning and then step back out of the whole scene without leaving any trace evidence.

@@justmejo9008 I understand. Yet, she previously told him she was rushing around, afraid she was going to be late. I think that Isom dropped the ball when it came to ruling Wendi out as a suspect so quickly. If she had been looked at more closely at the very beginning: she would not be so confident today, and could have revealed more inconsistencies under pressure. She played him as a fool. she turned on every charm in the book in order to pull him onto her side of things. Isom did not even pressure her into a second interview, and that is rather odd given the facts. Actually, I understand he went to Miami on one occasion. He should have held her feet to the fire!

@@beverlylawyer2286 I know, but that does not make one bit of sense to me. My home was almost paid in full when I left my marriage with my three children. To drive by it only rehashes the memories of what I used to have, but had to give up on account of my ex husband. It brings pain, not healing. I have gone the distance to avoid it. Wendi probably felt like she had to say SOMETHING to defend her POV, and that was the only thing she could come up with, knowing that Isom could not prove her wrong bc he could not tell what she was thinking.

I'd bet that HA is under such duress, worrying about his own status, having to keep the funding going, for both DA and CA,, (commissary and phone), not getting any help from WA, not having DA to manage his life, etc., is taking a toll on him, and he will probably not be able to endure long. He couldn't be sleeping, further stress on his body, probably can't eat normally. He won't bail, even if he could. For all intents and purposes, his life, his entire family's life, except Rob, is over. Personally, I cannot imagine spending life in prison, waking up every single day, same routine, same hopelessness, nothing to work for, or toward. What an absolute, total, miserable mess.

It's clear WA was having physical reactions to the lead up to dans murder yet she went ahead with it - how can you look into your 2 toddlers' eyes are know your ending their daddy's life?!!!!

I'm happy to hear you believe the Markel's will be called to testify to refute Wendi's testimony. The truth deserves to be heard. The Markel's have endured in silence and grace. I wonder how Donna will act having to face them? The eyes of justice will be on her.

Me too! I got castigated on another popular channel known for Markel coverage after telling him I was unhappy that he would have brilliant attys opining on the best defenses for Donna. I doubt it. Whatever estrangement he’s had with his family has nothing to do with turning against them in court. That would be hard for anyone to do to their family, even estranged. I don’t thinking the state will do that to him. I do think he may have been on the witness list for the last trial but one of the categories that its doubtful he will be called. Carl may correct me. I had it written somewhere. I think there are categories of witnesses by letters such as “A,B,C”

Carl, I think a good angle for the prosecution to go with Wendi is to emphasize her enmeshment and dependence on her family. Wendi can deny involvement and appear clueless on the stand; however, the constant discussions between Donna and Charlie regarding every detail aboug Wendi’s life speak volumes and paint a larger picture of general lack of boundaries and poor insight regarding whats truly best for the kids. As she tries to convince the jury that “simply requested her brother’s input regarding buying a new TV,” an insightful juror is going to see the big picture. The prosecution needs to have more faith in the people to discern the truth.

This case really captured my attention because it happens more than people would believe, except for the murders. Many custody issues can become so vicious and vile that one parent (more mothers IMO) can really go off the rails, especially if they had an agenda. Hits home for me and I’ve found the opposing lawyers can be worse than the parent.

I have to wonder if there are witnesses and evidence that only applies to Wendi that hasn’t been introduced. For instance- the friend of Dan And Wendi~Tamara, who talked to the police. Also, by now there must be other friends of Wendi’s who must have had ahah moments by now, and have been talking to the police. I wonder if the older brother will testify? Surely the women she had lunch with that day could have figured out something was odd about her behavior that day…etc. All of this would not have been pertinent to be brought up unless she herself was on trial.

I was thinking about that the other day. You’re three or four years old and your father gets murdered.! then they’re suspicion around your family, then things die down next thing you know you’re entering teenage hood, and your uncle gets convicted! and your mom and grandparents who you spend all your time with our suspects, especially in the Publix eye. That must be mind-boggling for these poor kids. And then I’m sure they’ve been brainwashed by Wendy, so when they eventually do their own deep dive it’s going to be even more confusing. Hopefully they have the money for a lot of therapy.

It’s hard to bring Donna’s age into this murder plot. Especially after in videos’s it shows her skip, skip skippidy down stairs with no problem, no holding onto any rails on the way down, rather quick pace walking down the street with her gym workout clothes on,,, I mean really. Her 70’s is the new 50’s… Don’t be court staging her with the granny white button down sweater too early. She’s already had over 10 years of undeserved freedom through political connections.

In response to @Subrosa Lite, I actually think it was Donna who first introduced the idea of murdering Dan. In my mind, she'd have been talking to Charlie on one of her many days of being furious with Dan and said to Charlie that she wanted Dan gone, dead, out of their lives forever. Wendi would have been fanning those flames with her Mom because she was the one constantly whining but I just think that Charlie took the reins and decided to try to handle what his Mom wanted done. I could be wrong, of course. But Charlie was a Mama pleaser, a family tough guy, so to speak but Donna and Wendi are the real evil minds in all this, I believe.

I’ve thought about that. I have a suspicion that Wendi may have blurted out “I wish he was dead” to Donna. Then sheer arrogance of Donna’s ego extrapolated that to actually forming a plan. Charlie would have been the one Donna would start the planning because he fancied himself as being “streetwise”. I doubt Harvey knew anything until after the first attempt that failed.

I’m thinking similarly, but think Wendi states the only way she could move to Miami is if Dan were dead, as she told Jeff L. Big D took it from there. Wendi absolutely participated in every aspect. She’s the brains after all. Just ask her.
