**SPOILER ALERT!!**
- Before anything, I wanted to say this AMV got 1st place in the contest it was submitted to and I'm incredibly happy. I NEVER WON ANYTHING IN MY LIFE so, this is huge okay. I've come a long way this six-ish years I've been editing (I didn't upload my oldest projects because they sucked shhh), and if you go back to watch my older videos, you know the struggle I went through LOL. I was limited for a long time, gone from Windows Movie Maker to VideoPad Editor and used it for a long time because my PC couldn't handle anything better. Last year I could finally start using Vegas, and even if there are better software out there, I feel I can finally put my potential to full use. Effects aren't everything, but they make a hell of a difference in conveying your message. That's why, I'm thankful for everyone who have helped me and encouraged me, even if a little. IF I CAN FINISH ANY CRAP IN TIME I wanna participate in a international contest this year or the next ^^
HEYO Here I am again, after six months. I can't believe this turned into a channel that updates only during breaks. I blame college on that. Not that this channel ever was very lively, considering I'm the slowest editor I know.
That's why it took more than six months to finish this AMV. I actually have been planning it in my head for a lot longer, but initially, it was supposed to be a Psycho-Pass AMV only. However, when I realized how the song suited Zankyou no Terror so well too, there was no stopping me and here we are now.
I'm gonna say this now, don't bring your hopes up, it isn't a crossover, I don't have that kind of ability okay, the stories follow independently from each other LOL
Then, about the concept. This song talks about living in a world full of incongruities, about throwing away those who hurted you and lied to you, and the desire to believe, to make a change. If you sat with me, I'd probably explain at length every choice of scene I've made here, and seriously I'd never stop talking, but I'll try to be brief here LOL
The name is The Crimes of Athena and Sybil because of that. Both anime show a world that's conformed, full of people who are ignorant to what supports their lives, unaware of the horrors of their government. Sybil is a assemble of the brains of vicious criminals whose Psycho-Pass couldn't be measured by the system, and those criminals run the country in a existence almost divine. Athena is the name chosen for the government's plan to gather brilliant children and use them to test drugs who could artificially create the Savant Syndrome, trying to put geniality in a bottle. These horrors are unknown to most of society, but there are those who stand up and rebel against the authority, even if they have to use violence.
Makishima, who couldn't be judged by Sybil, decided to dismantle this system, and those who lived conformed with having their lives directed by Sybil. Different from him, Nine and Twelve wanted to bring light to Athena's Plan, which robbed them of their childhood and destroyed their futures, but they bore no grudge for the ignorant society. Not only them, but other characters fight in much the same way, for themselves or others.
In this AMV, I tried to explore the feelings of those who are shut away, those who fight for the common justice or their own justice. The two stories follow alongside each other, showing the struggle for one's justice in a world that has failed them. I'm pretty sure it turned into the kind of AMV that is only fully understood by those who have watched the shows, because it's mostly comprised of parallels between the song meaning and the events unfolding (which not always can be understood just from the visual aspect). I wish I could talk more about it because I had tons of fun editing this, I loved how many parallels can be drawn between the two shows and then connected to the song. But I think I talked too much already, take your own conclusions about the stories presented. I hope you enjoy it!

Pois é, esse canal sempre foi paradão e tem só piorado KASJDHAKJDHA Além da faculdade, eu também tenho priorizado outros hobbies :3 Mas eu tenho um bocado de projetos pela metade, eles só estão progredindo beeem devagar. Obrigada por ainda lembrar desse AMV mesmo meses depois :D

Fico muito feliz de saber que minha edição tá tendo esse impacto. Quando eu comecei, tudo que eu queria era poder inspirar alguém e provocar emoção, porque era isso que os meus AMVs/editores favoritos faziam comigo. Então isso é bem importante pra mim. Muito obrigada, e esperamos xD

Não não, não fiz esse no VideoPad. Eu editei ele no Vegas 11 mesmo, tô pegando o jeito com ele ainda LOL ^^ Na descrição, eu disse que usei Movie Maker quando comecei a editar, e depois disso fui pro VideoPad, e usei ele por bastante tempo, até um ano atrás, porque meu computador (uma batata) não aguentava nada melhor. Não vai pro VideoPad plmdds, é infernal. Ele quebrou muito galho pra mim, mas eu me frustrava demais editando nele x_x E não, ele não faz mask HEAIHEAIEHAIEHAI' Sobre a inspiração... É até difícil dizer, porque comecei esse AMV há meses atrás, e eu já tava projetando ele na minha cabeça bem antes disso LOL Vou lembrando aqui. Eu conheci essa música uns dois anos atrás através de outro AMV, o A Story About Two Dreams (só jogando o nome tu já encontra fácil). E foi um AMV que ficou comigo, não só por eu ter gostado da edição (tinha tudo que eu nem podia sonhar em fazer no VideoPad ;-;) mas também porque eu adorei a música e queria muito editar com ela um dia. E o tempo passou, e eu acho que no início do ano passado, talvez, eu tive o primeiro insight de relacionar a música com Psycho-Pass. Assim como em todo outro AMV que eu começo a planejar, eu COMECEI A ESCUTAR A MÚSICA EXAUSTIVAMENTE, e em certo ponto, eu percebi que a música se relacionava muito com Zankyou no Terror também. Eu não comecei a editar imediatamente, porque eu já tinha outros projetos na frente, e a faculdade sempre atrapalha. Um pouco depois disso, eu ganhei um computador melhor e pude instalar o Vegas, o que foi uma benção pq seria torturante editar esse AMV no VideoPad xD E foi isso. Fiquei feliz de ter terminado bem em tempo pro AMVCON, porque ano passado eu não pude participar. Com ou sem primeiro lugar, eu tô bem satisfeita com a forma que eu relacionei a música, que tem uma letra linda demais, com esses dois animes que são geniais na minha opinião. No fim das contas, eu não comecei esse AMV pensando em fazer um AMV fake deep ou pretensioso com altas filosofias. Eu quero que a pessoa olhe pros animes e as escolhas de cena, escute a música e pense que tudo se encaixa, mesmo que não seja tudo aparente à primeira vista. ^^
lol essa DLC ai ? 1ºPlace ? haha não posso dizer que esperava mas imaginava que você iria se dar bem nesse contest , o conceito e a sincronia reinaram em seu AMV xD de primeira achei grande demais e até disse quem sem o primeiro refrão ficaria melhor mas acho que desse jeito foi melhor :v (falou o que nunca ganhou contest) :v Parabéns pelo excelente AMV e espero ver mais esse ano :D
