There are only 7players limited in openworld and most of the time they dont near you. The game added some fake NPC act like human player. like when you sitting near a event there are some NPC dive into the event object and disapper. They are ghosted anyway so it still feel empty

My favorite part is the cockpit view. 900 degree steering and you can put your arm out the window.

Some of the developers of this game worked on Test Drive Unlimited from 2006. Motorfest looks/sounds like Forza Horizon but it really reminds me of TDU, which was also set on Oahu Island.

Ubisoft did a great job with the this game. Maybe it just gives me TDU vibes, but it’s actually a solid game. My only complaint is that they should have just stuck with the car racing and ditched the plane and boat stuff this time.

To counter the fasttravel lock, drive with your car fast, switch with "2" to your airplane. Fly to the destionation in a couple seconds and switch back to your car when you're near. It will drop you down super fast due to the weight of the car and you're at your destination.

It’s absolutely brilliant 🤩 I’m 20 hours in so fun am glued to it

Tip if you're stuck waiting in PvP lobbies, go to the game settings and change your preferred region from Automatic to Europe or America where there are likely to be more players online (accounting for the time difference).

Agreed! Whoever was on the dev team listened to and showcased car culture and the intro to the game spoke volumes. The only I’d change now is making the world feel slightly more alive with more players in a session or a little bit more traffic. I’ve seen mixed reactions on the “ghost” players driving all around at maximum speeds😅😂

If you dive into the steering settings in the options menu, you can reduce or remove the steering dead zone. Some cars also just have severe understeer at speed. You can try messing with the car tuning to address that.

Great review! Graphics, driving physics, races all great. Agree that planes and boats are underdone in this game. Much preferred how The Crew 2 handled different types of races with their "disciplines" system. Grinding indeed tedious with micro transactions too prevalent. Overall though, quite a fun open world racer, 7/10 is about right.

There is no Horizon on PS5. The Crew 2 was dead online on PC and XBOX, but this has crossplay so it is a win for it. But if you are not burned out by FH5 play horizon.

It’s a wait for a sale. They were on the cusp of something great but the effort that could have went to doing so went instead to the monetization.

Some say planes and boats don’t belong, but you NEED to have that stuff in Hawaii! It’s barely even a part of the game. Now the one thing I’d change is the ability to remove nitrous in singleplayer entirely. Using a wheel with 5/5 difficulty and the AI getting nitrous is challenging as hell. I’d love to remove nitrous from AI and focus on driving rather than when to use my boost

Reviewer: Complains about the lack off traffic or extremely light. Also reviewer: Hates when you sudden collided with traffic cars

Connection problem s trying to hook up with your friends. They should rise the crew limit to 8 , also they need to fix mirror's in cockpit view

This is a new standalone... shoulda just been dlc TBH the map feels so small and the car list is almost identical to crew 2. The new cars noises are loads better and so are the graphics. But crew 2 has a way better map/races

We have played the same map for 9 years allready...

its actually solid game compared to crew 2, you can actually drive the cars lets just hope future patches wont mess it up, abd regarding online waiting time for games never had an issue maybe cause im on pc? or EU servers but one thing thats really annoying is all the talking while you are driving had to lower the voice volume to zero, its annoying and pointless but overall great game for something that is an arcade game play beautifully with wheel no complains there

Whiever review’d this really does not appreciate greatness. Personally this is one of the best multiplayer (friends wise) experience of all time imo.

Having USA map was the only cool thing about crew. Smart idea getting rid of it.

Or, at least try it out first. You get a 5-hour trial period between Sept 14 - 17.

Nothing will beat the original crew. This feels like a crew 2 dlc.

Luke Riley should get an award for his reviews. Some reviewers of IGN are too serious and with Luke there is always that perfect balance.

10:57 that situation only happens whenever you joined a lobby with 10 secs to go for new requirements to occur, thus leading your lobby to not have new players going in and you and other players in that lobby with the prior requirements to be stuck there unless you press leave. Having played crew 2, you don't need micro-transactions to enjoy the game You can easily grind races and unlock every classes of vehicles. The grinding part is the best thing about the crew series. IGN never complained how forza horzion 5 gave free Bugatti, lambo, wvwn before 10% completion( If you don't trust me, see your inbox in-game). Forza gives you everything at the beginning making it boring or uselsess to grind, unlike crew.

As fun as the idea sounds like, you can be sure that any game that would do that would sure do the map but it'd be so friggin empty of content you'd feel like you're playing Euro Truck Simulator x'p.

Basically the low budget Forza Horizon for people that purchased the wrong console. 🤷🏽‍♂️ I might try it heavily discounted. If you have a Xbox you’re perfectly fine with the King a racing games. FORZA HORIZON.

gotta say that timing the action to happen as you speak is impressive.

Never played any of the crews game but this game give me midnight club LA Vibes a lil bit prolly since this is my first racing game since that. It should have Police Chases in it other than that 8.5/10
