I just hope they don't do a cease and desist or that the folks doing this are anonymous enough so Ubisoft can't track them down.

The music. The engine sounds. The UI beeps. Hearing it all again after the shutdown warms my heart so much. I'm so glad people with this level of knowledge and passion for The Crew exist. Keep up the amazing work.

@@matthewrendon7548 I beg to differ but Just Cause 2 map is far more bigger and diverse. The Crew map is incorrect and has lot of locations that dont exist in places like Florida. Ohio and New Orleans arent in Florida.

These people found the strength to resurrect The Crew, and I am grateful. I remember when I and the other guys packed up for the last trip, we decided to start driving from the Santa Monica Pier in Los Angeles, and drive all the way to the airport in Miami. Unfortunately, we didn't make it, and some of the people who were riding with me-I guess-disconnected. I rode my mustang, one person on a motorcycle, two people on a Lamborghinis, and one person on a Nissan. We stopped in the middle of a small road somewhere in the desert, took some last screenshots, and slowly watched the sunrise. And as soon as the sun came up a bit, the servers went down. That picture imprinted in my head, and it was like I was saying goodbye to a good friend for the last time. But now I think I'll soon be back on the roads of the United States.

I have a similar experience, but I was alone on the tall mountain in Black Rock or whatever it's called - the one north of the salt flats. You can see half the map from there. It was a surreal experience. Like being in the Matrix and waiting for the simulation to shut down lol

i never got to play the original crew, and knowing that there might be a chance of me playing it for the first time brings me immense joy. great job by the crew unlimited guys.

@@Wally17. Oh, that's what you're talking about. Yes, I have a single broadcast on my channel, and there were a couple of musical compositions because of which the broadcast was blocked. Only deleting the audio fragment completely lifted the lock

Imagine this game with mods. Man... new cars, new customization, new races, new areas on the map, peer-to-peer multiplayer, etc.

This game is just miles better than its' sequel. The UI, soundtrack, the vibes, everything

The video opening with auditorium by the American princes is just so the crew 😭

It's actually insane how much better this game was in comparison to The Crew 2 as a gaming experience. Being familiar whilst still standing out as its own racing game.

I really hope modding The Crew 2 and Motorfest cars into this game is possible in the future, I just love how fast the community has gotten the game to this stage

I'd really love to see this game become the next NFS World, Where after shutdown modders take it into their hands & start hosting servers & adding modded cars.

First game is so much better than the second. Doesn't have all the bullshit modern day limited time events and loot mechanics. Just play at your own pace and enjoy the game.

Ubisoft may have killed this game, but this community is keeping the game alive for longer. Good work.

i'd love to just have it again even without progression, just wandering from point A to point B. i wasn't a strong defensor of the handling, but the map was the most charming thing about this game

Thanks for sharing this! Obviously it's always great to see games getting preserved, but it's also just such a chill video. I've never even played the Crew, but seeing you driving around just for the sake of it with that great soundtrack in the background reminds me a lot of the feeling I got as a teenager driving around in NFS Carbon after a race, listening to Are Friends Electric and just enjoying the vibe

@@whammy4 I still remember when my dad bought this game for me, along with my first Xbox One in 2016. I put so many hours into this game and made many friends along the way, fuck ubi for ruining our special games.

I'm going to give my yk comment whammy: the work that r0t00 has done is phenomenal and i hope they are not pushing themselves too much getting this done. i love this community and i hope to eventually drive along with everyone soon. ill also prompt questions others may ask: 1. will we be able to set our name in the offline patch, or only the online servers that will be hosted? 2. is DLC included? or is that a planned integration eventually? 3. how much longer do we have until release (i know its not soon but people probably want to hear it from you) once again ty!

You can repeat these cliches a hundred times, but that still doesn’t change the fact that you cannot download online-only games. That’s why they make it online-only in the first place. So your stock phrase should have been, “stop buying online-only games”.

@@horvathr95 You mean single player games intentionally crippled by online-only DRMs. This is nothing else but planned obsolescence and should be sanctioned by lawmakers. Hopefully EU will address these kind of practices sooner or later.

really appreciate all the work that goes into projects like this, and not to mention also keeping the fans informed with these uploads, because this stuff takes time and effort too 💪 also make no mistake the talented people that actually worked on the game, the developers will be very happy about this, after all who wants to spend years working on something, doing many late nights of crunch and in many cases not even seeing your family on the weekends, just for the greedy publisher to take the game offline 'just because'

It’s a real shame they seem to be going for smaller maps this time. The huge map was a huge selling point for me. Even after playing hours upon hours on both TC1 and TC2, the map never felt old for me.
