Clone Wars is the biggest reason the prequel era is my favorite in Star Wars. The show added so much in terms of character and story and emotional connection. And I say this as a someone that had the original trilogy as a kid. I was 22 when Clone Wars was released lol. Star Wars animation has become the heart of the franchise, and Disney would do well to understand that.

Lucasfilm animation is a studio, they don't just stop animating because one show gets finished. I bet they'll consider exploring other sectors of stars wars like the old republic or the thrawn ascendancy.

I still want another 7 seasons of clone wars that deviate from the main story line and go into the stories of all sorts of different clones from different legions

The Bad Batch easily had the strongest start/first season for any Star Wars show period.

@@user-md2ww6oq8i Doesnt matter where it starts. Andor is the best star wars since episode 5 oder ever. It is the first star wars project which feels like it has an idea and a plan its following. Im not saying other star wars is bad, I love clone wars, rebels, bad batch etc, but Andor is on another level.

Every time I fell back into depression I just watch clone wars.. It's calms me down so much and is soo so good. And the newer ones are so much better

animated star wars has always been the logical step for star wars. The OG triology was considered to be lighting in a bottle. George Lucus didnt even expect it to succeed and the prequels took a long time to be well acclaimed due to the large cohort of kids growing up and finally pushing their liking of it. But at the end of the day, live action will always inevitably have its limitations. A story where rich world building of an entire galaxy of aliens and culture is a core component lends itself to be best adapted in animation. There the possibilities are endless.

I welcomed the 2008 animation first seen in the movie. To see it evolve as I grew up really is part of my childhood.

That Mortis arc is the best arc ever! Ahsoka is just phenomenal! Season 7 is marvelous and just all of Mandalorian arc were crazy! All the clones have a story! So awesome! Darth Maul was a key feature too! Honorable mentions: - Zilo Beast - General Grievous - Slave Arc - Rex!

I remember watching the movie in a movie theatre with my dad when it came out when I was like 7 or something. I had this big smile on my face when we were going home, though my dad didn’t really understand why I enjoyed it so much at the time. I think it’s under appreciated for what it is and even today I occasionally pull out several good scenes it had

Lucas personally funded much of the show as people didn't see the potential at first and prequels didn't have nostalgia which later developed just as the seasons got grittier and more heartfelt even though people knew how it would all turn out in the end, the series made one hope their favorite characters would survive or avoid their tragic fates.

The Clone Wars is my favorite show ever. It has so many great episodes.

I really hope animated Star Wars content continues to thrive even as more animated characters make their live action debuts

I have definately felt the difference of The Clone Wars 3D from the third season and beyond.

I always viewed the first scattered season as an introduction to what is happening and who are we working with, then it fading into the more closed story arcs, adventuring more complex story lines until the sad ending no one wanted to see but everyone knew it was going to happen. For me Clone Wars is the best we ever gotten from Star Wars on the Screen. And for Rebels i wasn't keen on watching Rebels when it came out, i thought of it as childish and dumb. But eventually watching it made me realize that Disney made the exact journey with Rebels as Lucas with Clone Wars. It grew to be more mature and it was fun to watch and gave more insight in the already established characters and created space for new charactes we learned to love.

Rebels was my introduction to the Star Wars galaxy. To this day I strive to be the man kanan was

I like how the author doesn't mention the devil child of both rebels and clone wars... the resistance. Me and my brother tried to watch one episode of star wars resistance but gave up halfway.

The fact that the Bad Batch is a continuation from the CW animation style and plot proved it is a superior way of storytelling compared to the Disney way with SW Rebels, and what's best is Disney had to admit it by allowing Dave Filoni and his team to do what they did best thus reducing the effect from the mistakes they've done with the sequel. movie.

The bad batch is so Much better than rebels, and is a lot better story and much more interesting in my opinion

Star Wars Rebels gotta be the most underrated show in the Star Wars Franchise. Even thought its a Disney Channel kids show, i do still think it has some great moments and character developments!

People wrote it off at first for being a “Disney channel kids show” but it was never as much of a kids show as the first season or two of CW. And it definitely hits the same tone and levels of maturity as the later parts of CW.

The thing with Rebels is that it was sad... the clone wars got canceled... it was controversial that Disney took over and the animation style of rebels was so much more childish! For me it was just a bit too much... but when the trailer of season 2 came out, revealing the return of characters like Rex and Ahsoka, I started watching it.

Wish they made another animated feature film in the clone wars style. Putting in all the tricks they have learned. It will look amazing in the big screen.

What I love from Rebels is that the animation aspect didn't make the deal, it was the core of the story (I was a HUGE Rebels hater when it first came out precisely because of the animation) but then you realize it has a hidden gem within the series if you get over yourself and give it a chance. I just finished Rebels last year because of Ahsoka lol and I'm still in awe of such amazing story

Clone Wars was actually originally a cartoon; It aired in 2003. Than it re-aired in 3d animation in 2008.

Not the same studio or the same continuity. It was very cool, Genndy Tartakovsky doing his thing, and stylistically a masterpiece, but it was all flash and little substance. A very, very different beast from the deep character development and explorations we see in the Lucasfilm Animation shows.

Well, If your talking about all Star Wars animation, then you have to go back to the holiday special, find "The Story of the Faithful Wookie" segment.

Rebels was pretty good. It has some trouble with comedic timing, and my own personal feeling is that the animation style left something to desire, but overall it was an amazing show!

This video, while not the worse example by far, embraces the obsessive automatic Disney bashing, which I think all Star Wars content creators need to back off because it overloads their reviews and undermines their commentary. Not saying there aren’t real issues with Star Wars productions, but please focus on these as they appear in individual works, instead of the lazy Disney slander. Cheers

Evolved? It's ALL ugly as sin, the voices sound like cheap imitations that only barely resemble the original cast, and the 1st thing animated lucasfilm Star Wars did was break canon by giving Anakin the most annoying padawan ever. Now they've just finished 3 seasons of a show with yet another annoying little girl character who is OP and features dee bradley bakers barely impressive clone voice in a bid to justify the sequel trilogy. Find better things to watch already!
