And how some cultures have similar creatures but with different names... for example here in Mexico it’s very común to hear about “la llorona” and than you have the banshee I think from Ireland ... they have a lot of similar trades but with a hundred of miles distance and different times.. so it’s really interesting

There is something fascinating to me about cryptids. They make me kind of shudder but I just can´t help but want to find out more. I have fallen down a couple of internet holes concerning cryptids on some dark nights. Maybe it is my sese of curiosity mixed with the hope of there being more to this world than meets the eye. I would be super on board with more videos like this.

Many of these entities are emerging from within Inner earth. No the earth isn’t flat, but it isn’t solid either. It’s like Swiss cheese with vast cave systems where dwell many beings such as the Draco reptilians, Mantids, Fenris Wolf(Dogman), Crawlers(the Rake), Anunnaki giants, Nephilim giants, Derro and many many other pre-flood ancient beings. Some feed off of human energy. This is where we get the legends of hell or Tartarus from, The Underworld. And this is why caves are the places of dread for much of humanity.

So when I see comments decrying it and confidently dismissing it as CGI....I inwardly have the last laugh "knowing" these things are real. The TR3B is part of the Secret Space Program. Technology "they" acquired from The Greys in exchange for them to abduct humans. The TR3B is piloted by military personnel. Many think our "visitors" are extraterrestrial, which many are in origin, as we are too. But in fact the majority are subterrestrial.

Stories of Bigfoot date back generations before that logging company. The indigenous tribes of North America all had their own names for them in their respective languages. In Washington they were called "O'Mah" or "Boss of the Mountain". The Ojibwa called them "Sabe". The Tlingit people called them "Kushtaka", and so on.

I also like how telling it this way can create interesting ways to talk about the evolution of the stories over time, and how they'd changed as more people started to hear about them

I saw a Bigfoot when I was a kid on a family trip in Northern California. Sheepsquatch is a COMPLETELY different thing than any sort of dog. They can most closely be compared to Sasquatch. (Hence the name) They just have a more "wooly" type of hair and often are described as having horns. I have never heard them described like dogs. A giant Snapping Turtle would be a thing to see......and I can believe this one. They keep growing for as long as they live and have good conditions. Sadly partially draining the lake may have done the turtle in. The Loveland FrogMan is one of the strangest cryptids I've heard about. I'm not sure what to make of it. The Flatwoods Monster is the least likely cryptid on this whole list. ......AND YES, PLEASE DO MORE CRYPTID VIDEOS!!!!

Everybody knew someone who knew someone who was attacked by Catman and pulled from his car. I used to love to drive a carload of friends through Catman's haunts, stop the car, and turn off the lights. 😈🎃🤣

I would love to see you do a small inclusion of the Squonk, a creature said to live in northern Pennsylvania. It's main attributes are its ugly appearance, being described as a large, walking b*llsack with eyes, and its constant weeping, due to itself being so disgusted by its own appearance. When cornered or feeling threatened, the Squonk can dissolve itself in its own tears to get away. Truly my spirit animal.

WV resident here. The Flatwoods monster and moth man are our two most popular monsters, and locally, yes, the Braxton County monster is believed to have been an alien. In fact, it’s odd the spade headed creature was shown as organic in this video, as most depictions of it in Flatwoods itself represents it as more of an alien craft/vehicle that the actual alien commandeered. That being said, most locals know it’s nothing more than an urban legend that’s just for fun. It’s about commercialization. You would have never have heard of Flatwoods, WV or Point Pleasant, WV if it wasn’t for these legends. It puts them on the map so the cities capitalize on that even though many of the supposed sightings have been debunked.

I wouldn't consider most cryptids as folklore. Most are based on real relatively recent eye witness encounters. Folklore I would say more like WENDIGO and skin walkers. Bigfoot is both in native American folklore and recent eye witness encounters. But that's just how I define them.

  • @The.Nasty.

I think the “folklore” part just relates to how old it is, or the origin… not the current view of the monster/story in our time. I guess you could say new folklore is called “urban legends”? I dunno.

I saw one of the "devil dogs" in the west Texas panhandle. It was very large and fast. All four of us saw it. It was in the field keeping pace with us as we ran down the road afraid. I don't know what would have happened if the dirt road didn't have the 2 or 3 light poles it did. The light they gave off wasn't adequate. Just enough to keep total darkness at bay. The thing made no growls or noises, only the sound of its running, and heavy breathing we could hear 30 ft. away. No foul odors either, just bright red glowing eyes that were slanted and evil-looking.

My favorite is the devil dog. I’ve never heard of it. The “ pain but not injuries “ thing is cool. Its like when you hurt yourself and you feel as if you are bleeding, but you check to see that you have no injury. It’s trippy.

I'm from Indiana and I've never heard of that turtle story. But don't some scientist say a turtle doesn't ever die of old age and can continue to grow all their lives (all be it at a slowing rate), so if that's true one could theoretically grow that big.

It's the smiling man, he's from Seattle Washington and some dude saw him while he was walking at 2 am. It can be pretty easily explained though just for the fact that it's Seattle and if the person who saw him lived anywhere near the finance district then it's probably some meth head tweaking
