Truly was a crazy year for you. You died, had your friends rewatch your death countless times, get resurrected, and then find out your buddy was getting an award for music despite not making music.

Hey Joel. I just turned 16 this December and even though I know I have my whole life ahead of me, I feel like it’s all coming too quickly. It’s becoming more and more clear that if I don’t start doing what makes me happy now then I’ll end up miserable for the rest of my life, and your videos have always helped encourage me to do that. You’ve changed my perspective in a lot of aspects in my life, especially film. The future seems so large and daunting, so I just wanna thank you for always letting us know that it’s ok. You’ve helped more people than you can imagine. Keep doing what you’re doing Joel, and here’s to an exciting 2023!

Well think of it this way, you have a whole lifetime to think about and explore all the things you are interested in, or even not interested in just for the experience. Don't be overwhelmed at all the choices that are possible, because at the end of the day that choice is still there. It'll never be too late to change your path. So find one that is interesting enough and get started on it. It won't be the things you tried that you'll regret, it'll be the ones you don't

Belated happy birthday! Don't feel daunted. As a 33-yr-old who still feels I have loads of time ahead of me, my advice is start taking small steps towards what you want to do. Don't let failures stop you going for it. And also don't worry if your goals change and life takes you in surprising directions. As you get older, things will start making more sense and become clearer. All the best to you 💗

Best advice: -Try all sorts of classes in college (or community college), exploring and trying things for yourself is the best way to find out what you are good at and what you love. -Take small steps, but leap into every opportunity, but learn to let go even when it's not convenient or comfortable -Do everything you can to travel (safely and try not to cheap out) -Invest in a quality mattress, pillow, and office chair -Sleep 6-8 hours, and stay on a good sleep schedule -Exercise -Drink water -If you have a hobby, join a group or community with similar interests -Be willing to compromise -Don't ever chase wealth or power over others (management) -Be willing to live by your means, but don't be afraid to treat yourself -Get caught up in the moment instead of trying to record or repeat -Eat new things -Stay off social media -Find happiness, not temporary comforts -Educate yourself

Dont smoke weed until youre 21 for the sake of dementia and the prefrontal cortex, and dont get married until 25, because 60% of who you are now will not be who you are in the future. You truly love yourself at that point and can love others wholly. College is an absolute waste unless you want to be *highly specialized.* life only come faster so don't let it get to you now. Go on lots of walks and stay strong.

“It doesn’t get easy, but it gets easier” really hit hard and had some tears going, I’ve struggled a lot this year but it’s also the year I’ve finally took the early steps to change that. Really nice video Joel, I only found this channel about halfway through the year but I’ve loved it since, keep doing you ❤

My dad died in 2019 too. When you said what you said sitting in the graveyard I laughed so hard and then I cried for the rest of the video. Thanks for touching my heart tonight. You’re such a different kind of person from me, but you comfort my soul, all the same. Love to you, man. Glad you had a crazy year. Me too. Here’s to another one.

In today's climate of advertisements and commercials and endorsements and profits being shoved down our throats, your channel is so honest and refreshing. It's like a breath of fresh air. It gives me hope for the future of content creators that we all don't have to conform to be successful. Keep doing you and thank you

You probably won't read this but I just want to say I'm so happy for you! The time and energy you put into your videos really shows and nowadays with so many youtube channels it's hard to find anyone making the content you make. You're like the dunkey of shorts and you deserve everything that comes your way! Keep bringing your friends up with you ❤️

Beautiful video ♥️ This is also my second New Year's without my father. Before, I didn't truly understand why people felt sadness with the new year simply for it being the new year. But as life goes on, I now see where that nostalgia and melancholy comes from, even if it also mixed with excitement and hope.

I think I get this vibe from you that it's nothing like "Natural Talent".. It's just - Natural... and for some reason that is such a difficult thing for a lot of us to achieve or understand, but you really put it all out there and you make it work. You're like a bridge to our understanding; truly, that the little things- the smallest things can have amazing and great impacts. You're a treasure, Joel. Ya frickin' dope.

Hey Joel, always great seeing you and Trent on here. As someone who lives in a small town nearby it's been a real joy watching the two of you travel out into the world. The shots of home where you spent time with friends always reminds me of my friends and our upbringing; it's funny how you can be nostalgic for the place you already chose to stay. Best of luck to you guys, I'm excited to see how you both grow to experience your own art on the years to come.
