You be surprised what the human body can withstand. Then again, if it’s the wrong place just one punch or one big bang of the floor to the back of the head can kill. Either way it’s very sore an swollen then next days. An the bruising will last 2 weeks sometimes longer. The guy who took 5 elbows probably also had a badly broken jaw

I think people are too quick to jump in the brain damage bandwagon, i get that it can happen but 99% of the men with long lasting brain damage did combat sports for decades.... Id go as far to say i dont think its possible to go your entire life without a single concussion... Never played football?,soccer?,fell off your bike? Been punched? Car wrecks? Just fall down and smack your head? Everyone acts like every little head bump gives CTE even though its been proven it takes years upon years and thousands of blows to develop...

true, when you take ground and pound rules of elbows etc and head butts out, then, ground and pound becomes even more brutal, i just, honestly wonder WHY the guys on the ground all reacted the same way, they curled up, and defended their face, like (i have been pouned on the face, from mount as well, i am a mma practitioner, i have been on bad situations as well, not during an actual fight though, only training) but, the question is, WHY not work for an escape? if ur gonna stand still and get pounded, you might as well, try and escape right? but still idk.

This is NOT a “sport”. This is exhibition style attempted murder. In fact if you witnessed two people fighting like this on the street in the US, one or both would go to jail and possibly be charged with felony attempted manslaughter. Sanctioned MMA is dangerous enough, but there is a reason for the expression “take the gloves off”, and it’s not about being sporting. This is disgustingly brutal, but I watched it anyway. Because apparently I’m just as sick as everybody else..😂😂😂

im not convinced its human nature, i think its societal conditioning, if you are raised in an area where lots of people fight then you'll probably fight or be in fights, but each to their own, their bodies they can do what they want, and i cant deny the skill and fitness to fight
