There was also a cool bug a few years ago: when you defeated a GO rocket leader, and the encounter was not shiny, you flee from it. Every 90 minutes, the encounter had a new chance of being shiny, so every 90 minutes, you could come to that specific pokestop, where you defeated the leader, and check if the encounter is shiny. if not, you flee again and come back again 90 minutes later and check again. This way, I got my shiny shadow stantler from Cliff :)

I came here to say the same thing. I used this exploit to garner three shadow shiny Pokémon. I worked downtown Seattle, by the courthouse. It's a great place to play. I'd get there early, battle a leader nearby before my shift and recheck on my breaks / lunch and even once I got off if I hand not gotten one by then. Fun times.

@@charlesschwartz7284 Try parks for nests. If you're lucky, you may come across one that way. If not, you'll need to wait for an event that features one or for the season to change. They maybe apart of the Autumn season, but if not, definitely during Winter. The Go Seasons limit the spawns we get regularly, but whatever spawn you are keen on getting should come around at some point. Good luck, trainer ;)

6:19 That was a feature for the event because ALL rocket grunts were psychic/grass types for the exeggcute research weekend and all of them could give the shadow shiny exeggcute. There was a PvP glitch a while back in which the shields always showed that the opponent's move was resisted/neutral. In GBL, when you shield a move that is supper effective, the shield turns red. For instance if your opponents uses hydro cannon on your fire type and you shield it, the shield colour will turn red. But in one of the updates the shield always remained blue even if all of the opponent's moves were super effective OR it always turned red even if the moves were resisted. And since there is no rule book for PvP (in game after 2.5 years), new players were always confused if they should shield the moves from a specific type or not.

I got the shiny Braviary! I also got a strange glitch where two braviarys and two poke balls appeared.

@@dylanedwards989 64? thats like the lowest IV possible from raid, egg and research encounter. and there is a 10% chance of getting the shiny, it's the highest shiny odds in the game so dont be suprised you got it on the first raid many did.

Hey the place holder Pokemon is what appears when you use the move Substitute in the main series games and allows you to take any attack but casting the move drains some HP. Also the shiny grunts glitch was actually a feature of the event because every psychic/grass grunt has an exeggcute!

I have a story for this. One time I was checking to see how many pokemon were in gyms. this specific blissey, says it has been in a gym for 19352 days = 53.4 years. I'm still super confused how this happened.

That pokemon “placeholder glitch” is the image used in the original pokemon games when a pokemon used the move substitute!

I love the face-down Buddy glitch. Your take on it made me laugh, too. Sometimes they are even half IN the ground.

My sister had her buddy as Tapu fini and her Tapu fini snapped its neck when she tried playing with it. And my uncle had a dragonnite glitched into his pokemon inventory. Also when my sister had her location/GPS off and a wild smeargle was following her it was kinda creepy. Also my sister had encountered a glitch where her pokemon buddy would shrink.

To counter the giant Pokémon there was also extremely TINY pokemon last fall during the Galar event, mostly just skwovet but I loved it

Really enjoying these. There was that other TR glitch that if you fought a Team Leader at a Pokestop you could run from encounter then go back in an hour and it would be another version of that Pokémon. I did it with Stantler (your shiny Stantler reminded me). The first Stantler I got after beating the team leader not shiny, went back after an hour, wasn’t shiny, went back after another hour and yes I got the shiny. Of course they fixed that glitch.

I remember one of the first glitches that had been so hyped up which was the weird baby head on a weird red screen. Was one of the first and also strangest. Nostalgic now Edit: nvm it's at 4:22, all I said still stands tho Also I gotta do it... Pokedex update plz?

There was a visual glitch for a buddy Mega Gengar that I encountered once where it would move around the map, stop and then get stuck in this jumping animation where its mouth was open. I was able to get one screenshot of it where it looks like it was about to chomp down on an unsuspecting Bidoof.

another funny visual glitch iv encountered was last year in some event when pikachus with hats i cannot remember were showing up. I tapped on several pikachus and either their ears where strait out rectangle shapes or the tail or the entire body was just broken. I used to have some pictures but I deleted them to free up phone space lol

I remember once getting an invitation for an Ex raid starting about an hour after I got the invitation. I rushed across town to go grab the Mewtwo and patiently waited along with 10-15 others. When the time came for the raid to start, a Snorlax popped up. ExLax has to be one of my favorite Pokémon for that random reason.

The placeholder stuffed animal thing is from the main series games. its a move called Substitute where the pokemon swaps with this thing to take damage for them.

I think that glitch at 1:50 only happens when the game is still loading in the gym/when you have a bad connection.

Few weeks ago, I was playing some pvp. I choose my team for Great League, then SOMEHOW I got in a pvp battle with only an Aerodactyl, which I don't have and don’t know how it even let me pvp with just one Pokemon.

I really loved the veteran mode on the grunts/leaders … I love that they hamert back , now the grunts and leaders are a joke again🥺

I remember a glitch with the pokestop nearby menu where if you pressed two pokemon at the same time they would appear inside of each other. It was similar to the gym visual bug

Actually there is another glitch I am experiencing sometimes, a few minutes ago it actually happened twice where I encounter a pokemon, it moved out of the encounter screen for a second and then went back in and after (quick) catching that pokemon, it's like I am laying on the ground looking from under some pokemon and from there i have to hit things like the only pokemons I can see from there and pokestops like that, but I can't move the camera. The only ways I fix it so far are spinning a pokestop, letting myself get shown a nearby raid or just leaving and opening the app. Maybe a video would be more clear than this

I still get that stacking gym glitch these days, some times on accident, mostly on purpose.

I have sometimes an irritating glitch, which is when I tap on a pokémon I want to catch, it becomes huge. Not like in this video, it looks like the pokémon is on me, like it's directly in front of my face. And I can't do anything... Nowadays it sometimes happen while walking on a map. I can't do anything, except closing and reopening the app.

One time I had my mega Venusaur as my buddy, and it started just walking straight up into the air

There was a bug with Pumpkin Helm. When you equip dress with hood you can also equip Pumpkin Helm which bugs the game .... a little. The bug makes you character disappear till you get rid of the helm BUT not just in map. Basically your character was somehow "deleted" from game and stay in one place while you can normally move and spawn pokemons making it impossible to play because after a while you was out of bounds visible on screen.

I had a Slowpoke encounter where the Slowpoke was upside-down and in the air. It was so creepy in AR when I realized I had to look up! I had a Slowbro appear as a tiny doll. I also had the Pokemon stadium appear as a miniature set at my feet once.

I once had a glitch where my buddy (a tyranitar) went into the ground like it was diving

Fun fact:during the spring into spring event, I actually caught a shadow shiny exeggcute from leader arlo. Not sure if it was a coincidence or maybe the glitch also increased odds or maybe it had something to do with the exeggcute research day

It's actually a substitute doll that has been in pokemon since gen 3

I am so sad. I first encountered a Galarian articuno, which ran away. The next two days, I encountered a galarian zapdos. And then I encountered another galarian Zapdos from the same day. And both of them ran away even though I did an excellent curveball throw with golden razz berry

The green stuffed animal thing is a substitute from main Pokémon games I think when the grunts get shadow shinys its when the leaders have had it in the past

There was one old glitch back from 2016/2017 ish where the first pokeball you throw at a Pokémon would go flying like 20 miles in the air, it went so far that you couldn’t see it land on the ground. it was kinda funny but annoying if u were low on balls

the green stuffy thing that replaces a pokemon is a move in the main series games called "substitute" where the opposing pokemon would disappear and be replaced by that stuffy thing

The last ball glich u covered in this video lasted longer then a few month it lasted from 2017/2018 until October 2019. IT when they added the legendary beast from gen 2 untill mid gen 3 was added and has re apered several times for weeks at a time.

There was a visual glitch a while back where most appearances of Magmorter and only magmorter would be the shiny form.

I get the glitch where the screen zooms in before encountering a wild pokemon. The freezes for a millisecond before going to the encounter. When I return to the map I am extremely zoomed in and cannot zoom out. The pokemon look so huge. Luckily I've never been behind a whismur during that glitch

I remember the team rocket glitch, I just so happened to battle giovanni during that and man was it frustrating

Once I had a glitch where my buddy (a shiny sentret) had its eyes and mouth replaced with black squares, kinda scared me and I've still got screenshots lol

Quick catch glitch which is still in game probably the most common glitch and also there was a glitch that allows you to keep Great ball or Ultra ball as main ball in catching screen even if you run away from pokemon or you caught it

I honestly think shadow shinys from grunt would be a cool addition you just make the chance of getting them lower then a leader

I've had a glitch where my buddy just gave up walking around with me because I was walking too much. I honestly loved it, because nihilego just seemed so lost

I have a beast ball nihilego. Was just clearing out special research right before community day while waiting for it to start. Did not realize it was special.

I had a glitch when I clicked a Pokémon on there not seeing end (on accident) it would zoom in the the Pokémon and when the Pokémon ran it would show me walking away that happened yesterday 😂

so I had a computer years ago that would do something similar to that lugia glitch on certain games. The issue was a severely underpowered CPU, so that glitch may have occurred on a lower end phone

The grunt I recently fought had a snorlax, gardivoir, and dragonite. First 2 were over 10k cp and dragonite had over 15k cp. What a beast! My favorite glitch I saw was when your buddy pokemon rises out of the ground.

when the Mankey GBL encounters happened it glitched since there were two encounters and I got a shiny Mankey when I was supposed to get star dust and the rest of my encounters were the regular rewards.

Craziest thing I’ve experienced is every Pokémon being shiny and then running on the second ball wiggle. Found lots of shinies in 10 mins until I decided to restart the app. Fun times

During the Starly community day, all of my shiny Starly all loaded without eyes. (when my game eventually froze, I rebooted the game and their eyes fully loaded.)

The best Glitch I ever saw was on my friend's account when Groundon first came out in raids. My friend decided to use the VR mode to catch him as well as take a few photos, when he found Groundon and got him to jump out, he was very tiny.

I had the premiere ball glitch recently. I had 14 balls on a Cobalion and I gave it most of my golden razz berries and I even had multiple excellent throws but it trolled me by running away

Honestly the last premier ball glitch was never fixed for me. It doesnt matter which pokemon, they ALWAYS flee at the very last premier ball after a single shake, and it's been like that for years now

OMG! I thought I was the only one who saw that human head glitch! That's happened to me alot sometime around 2020. I even got a glitch where my character was giant! Also I actually had a glitch back in 2020 where my character in my profile became invisible and my Shiny Teddiursa that I had as my buddy became giant!

I had a glitch a few years back when they let players reclaim their stacks, every Pokémon I reclaimed was a 96 (141514) it also gave me an extra mew and celebi both 96% going back to shiny squirtle with glasses. I didn’t even have a stack. I did the right thing and let niantic know and they let me keep them.

the green dino is like decoy or substitute for the pokemon who uses it to take dmg in the pokemon place at a small cost of 25% of its hp commonly know as the substitution doll first time i noticed this move was in omega ruby on the nintendo 3DS XL

The doll thing is something from the games. It is a move called substitute where it replaces itself with the doll and protects itself

I had a glitch last week where two rocket balloons spawned at the same time and after I tapped the second balloon it started raining confetti then my game crashed

There code is literally wo bad, that when they fixed the last ball glitch, they had just added an extra ball for a while there, but when they fixed that glitch the code was so tight that they unintentionally changed the game, thats why from That point on, if it shakes once on the last ball, you caught it... And on that note its actually really weird to think about now, because I use that glitch when I get stressed on the last ball its a complete reliever when it shakes. But it did use to be random before, so idk if it changed the psychology a bit.

I have this super cool glitch where I don’t have the daily incense yet because Niantic’s rollout of this feature makes absolutely no sense.

Crazy that i got a hundo braviary on my first raid. I couldnt believe it, then right after got a shiny 98% from the next raid 😅. Rng on my side forsure. Too bad i have no more passes to raid since im free-to-play :(

Its funny because some glitches are still in the game for example the big buddy in your screen I got that with mega charizard.

The craziest glitch I had happening to me was the Research Encounter Glitch. Back in the early days of the whole research-thing, you could start an Pokémon Encounter from research even if you got an "GPS signal not found" (happened a lot when I was indoors). If you try to encounter one now with that "GPS signal not found", it won't let you, (if they haven't somehow re-enabled it). Back then, it did. For whatever reason, when that was up, it corrupted the Pokémon (and a few other things) completely. I have an video of it. Just search " pokemon go corruptions old clips " and mine should be the first one or at least somewhat high up. Only if you're interested that is. It's not the best glitch in the world, and I can almost guarantee that this most likely happened to a ton of people before me. So I'll not claim that I was the first to discover this or anything at all. I was just surprised when it happened, and then I messed around with it when I found out what caused it, lmao

I actually got a shiny shadow exceccute from a regular grunt, and I kept it like a shadow pokemon because shiny shadow exceccutor looks cool as hell! (and also because shadows have an attack boost)
