Just a quick update I just got! 1. For a brighter display, please turn off the "Smart Energy Saving" option in the monitor settings. 2. A firmware update for the monitor's Game Mode, enhancing the brightness during gaming, will be released in April 2023. Just trying to keep you guys all updated on it!

Hello - thank you for your review. I like that you showcased the desk setup as well. I am particularly interested in whether the BenQ Halo Lightbar ended up working with this LG 45 monitor? I can see in the video that it is tipping forward a bit and the lightbar edges are leaning on the curved sections of the monitor. Is the functionality of the lightbar limited by this monitor's 800R curve? Hope to hear your thoughts.

LG if youre listening, we dont need 240 hz! please make a version that is 4k 120hz for office use! I would buy that immediately!

I currently roll with a LG 40WP95C-W as my main with a ppi of 140-it is awesome for productivity as an engineer. I’m currently testing LG’s 45GR95QE-B OLED as a second monitor with a ppi of 80. It is an awesome gaming monitor but not suitable for coding, reverse engineering, running Windows [CMD] or Linux commands on the fly. I’m torn if I should keep the OLED monitor and use it exclusively for gaming. It is an expensive monitor but i’m 85% confident, I will keep the OLED for gaming-esp. since D4 is coming out…

Geez, the curve is intense.

I’m using a Samsung 32” lcd tv as a monitor. I cannot fathom the greatness this device offers

The PPI and subpixel layout kills this for me. Awesome video though, as always!

MAN WOOW ANDRES THAT THE BEST THAT SAW

Got this monitor 4 days ago from Best Buy. Coming from a 32" 1440p VA Panel. First OLED monitor ever and I say with confidence that I will never go back. OLED is in a league of its own. Now some may complain about the PPI, but I use my PC strictly for gaming and cannot say that it is even noticeable. If you're reading text in your browser, or even your desktop, you can tell that the resolution is not as sharp, but you turn a game on and you literally can't tell that you're looking at 83 PPI. Plus if this was 4k, they'd probably be charging close to $3,000. This thing's already expensive enough.

I bought this same monitor three days ago bestbuy. I agree. Gaming is flawless. PPI is no issue. All these gaming monitors have pros and cons. I love it

Had it for a day and returned it. Few points for those looking at it: 1. Brightness. Even with firmware updates and turning energy saving off, the brightness is abysmal. In saying that, I did come from a monitor with HDR1000 certification so it might be more palatable for you. 2. For those concerned about the low PPI, you should be. Its not that noticable in gaming at least, but still is to a degree. I was sitting just under a metre away from the screen too. 3. Productivity for word/excel? Forget it. Pros - Colours look good - Response time - Aggressive curve increases you situational awareness vs screen that was flat. Ended up returning it for a Asus PG42UQ. higher brightness and at this size 4K is needed (at least for my use cases)

Good afternoon. Please help me understand the issue. There are two laptops with a screen refresh rate of 240Hz. Asus scar 18 *4090 with G-sync and MSI Raider GE78 HX (4090) without G-sync and without adaptive refresh rates. Question: When playing shooters, will there be a difference at 240Hz with G-sync and without G-sync. Will there be tearing at 240 fps? (In my region, Asus with G-sync is $1,000 more expensive and I don’t want to overpay just like that)

How is photo editing in LightRoom Classic with this monitor? I know true color is arguably better on a IPS monitor. What are your thoughts? I know people say that Oled has issues with true color and IPS is superior. Last thing we need is over edited color photos right 😅
