It's curious that you used the word "lush" to describe this song... there is a band called Lush that came about around the same time this song became popular that has very similar ambient sound that you may like to take a listen

This song has my heart, anytime i hear it I fall into tears of happiness, sadness and nostalgia and my brother does as well. I have a video of me when I was little, like very little maybe like 3-5 years old and this song was playing there, my brother that was about 15 years then picked me up and started spinning me. It's just so beautiful I can't even process what I feel when I hear this song.

We weren't so well that moment, one of my biggest regrets and a deep lesson: Be nice to those you love and care about, cause you NEVER know when it's gonna be your last moment with them.😢 RIP L.

I remember the kids that worked for me. I was 25, and I just purchased a KFC franchise. My crew were 15 16 17 18 year olds... they thought I was an ancient old man. I see them posting now about the Cranberries... now they are 51 52 53 now. I laugh. I told you guys 25 was not old ... you will be 50 in the blink of an eye. I used to listen to this after we closed up the restaurant at night. They are all 50 years plus now. Song reminds me of good times with my great crew. I'm retired at 63. It's funny to think my crew of kids are all oldies but goodies now, too.

This song was my childhood, I love it so much.💚 I miss your voice Dolores.😢 You were the best singer of the band.

I'm so sorry you had to go through that. I've been there and I completely understand you. I was married to him for 5 years and happily divorced for 14 years and counting. I don't want to remarry because there's so many immature people in the world. I prefer to be single and do what I want that makes Me happy. I have two daughters from him and they are happy because mommy is happy. I wish you all the best. You deserve to be happy And you should go look for it within you.

Man this brings back so many childhood memories

I didn't realize this was such an old song...or the cranberries (shame on me for not immediately recognizing her voice) but it always played when I was a waitress at Danny's. Therefore it kinda just turned into mush eventually (kinda like when you say a word so many times that it no longer sounds real lol) but all these years later I now can't stop singing it...because I mean it .. ..it's so melancholy....just like love had and then lost (or at least put into question)
