    I’m not a lover of bulky weight yarns but I may change my mind! This is a beautiful design that goes beyond just basics. The bulky weight really works for this design as well. I’ve read from reviews that the Parfait crochets and knits like a worsted weight. So that’s a plus. Now I have another project on my list. I too think beginners who know their stitches could crochet this design . I recommend having a positive attitude and confidence that you can do it. It’s helped me out more than once during the 52 years I’ve been crocheting. Crochet away!

    Hi Bonnie, beautiful shrug! For me, I need smaller opening for my arms. So I’ll fold the piece, like you did, but I’ll measure 7” (opening for my arms) from the fold and saw the rest to the bottom. I’ll do this is in both sides. I hope it works! I need to keep my arms warmer.😊. Thank you for the tutorial🌷

    Hi Bonnie, I love this shrug. I want to make one as soon as I get this yarn that you used for it. I have #6 yarn but I don't want to use that, I think the #5 would look nicer. The #6 yarn I have is Bernat baby yarn that I have made blankets out of. Thanks for sharing this with us, it is beautiful. I was watching you make this even though I didn't crochet along with you and you make it look so easy, I know I can do it

  • @BonnieBayCrochet

    @BonnieBayCrochet

    4 жыл бұрын

    That's a great question Sandra. This #5 yarn really behaves as a thicker #4 yarn weight, which is why the K hook works well. I think your #6 yarn would change the design a bit, and make it stiffer/heavier that you may like. I hope this helps!

  • @sandibozarth3965

    @sandibozarth3965

    Bonnie, I feel the same way, it just wouldn't look right with #6. When I do the baby blanket in (#6) I've tried different stitches but some you just can't do because it doesn't look right even with a hook size N or P. I'm going to wait and get yarn like yours. Thanks Bonnie

  • @BonnieBayCrochet

    The size shown in the video should fit sizes S-L. I know this seems unusual, but this is because the measurement across the back for these sizes does not vary more than a few inches. The pattern has a second set of directions for sizes XL-3X.
