The Cowboy Counsellor complete western movie full length. Dan Alton poses as an attorney in order to sell his books. This seemed to him like a good idea until he gets roped into defending a young man accused of stagecoach robbery. This is another film from the www.westernsontheweb.com collection. My Dad was a friend of Hoot's, in Hoot's later years. He was always thrilled to know him bcz he was such a good man, a kindly person, and Dad had really loved all Hoot's movies, always said Hoot was just about his favorite actor long before he ever met him. I don't know why, but this was my first Hoot Gibson movie, tonight. And I agree with my Dad. It was a really good movie and Hoot did just great.
I love Hoot Gibson movies. They have great storylines.

I had never heard of Hoot Gibson. Turns out he was a pretty big deal. He was a real-life rodeo champion, and, according to Wikipedia, "From the 1920s through the 1940s, Gibson was a major film attraction, ranking second only to Tom Mix as a Western film box-office draw."
Love the scene at 55:00 where the posse member is trying to get on his horse. Never made it by the time he was off screen. I heard laughter at the end.
