“The Country Is ROTTING!” | Labour Urged To Increase Defence Spending
Labour’s David Lammy and John Healey are set to call on countries at this week’s NATO summit to boost their defence spending to 2.5 per cent of GDP.
In a joint piece for The Telegraph, the foreign and defence secretaries revealed that a Labour government would aim to hit this target "as soon as possible."
They'll be pushing for all NATO allies to adopt this new defence goal. Currently, NATO members are expected to spend 2 per cent of GDP on defence.
Last year, only 11 out of the alliance’s 32 members, including the UK, met the target.

It seems that sovereign nations, or what's left of them, should prioritise the military industrial complex .... AGAIN, but in truth, it was ever thus and, after all, the 'build back better' programme is very lucrative!! As for Blair now scaremongering about the ageing population being the bogeyman, expect the drive for euthanasia to escalate very quickly as the young see them as the problem and the elderly feel so apologetic, they elect for government sanctioned dispatch!! Do you think the UK or US is doing that for free? It's done with the expectation that the cash will be paid back and / or has the condition of dibs on natural resources or whatever else the powerful / wealthy want in Ukraine. It's all about money circulating back into the pockets of the wealthy. Socialise the risk privatise the profits.
