The Countries with the Highest Inflation 2023
Source: Trading Economics (2023)
Here's a comparison of inflation rates for every country in the world in 2023.
China is one of the 5 nations with inflation below 2%.
This 2% figure is the inflation target for many developed countries, but the vast majority are well above this.
The countries highlighted in black are the G20 nations and a few other countries I often get asked about in the comments.
The USA has 7.1% inflation which is lower than most of Europe.
Germany gets into the top 100 with 8.6%.
The UK ranks at number 68, just below the average inflation in the EU.
It's one of 77 countries with double digit inflation.
Into the top 50, the percentages are quickly rising up to 26.5%, where we see Ukraine coming in at number 20.
There aren't many developed nations towards the top, but after their world cup win in December, Argentina ranks 6th.
However, at number one, where the average price level rose by 244% in the last year is Zimbabwe.

@@nofacerainbow1693Deflation is actually worse than Inflation. Deflation is one of the factors that led to the 30 years economic stagnation of Japan. Deflation has also caused China’s economy to slow down in 2023. Their GDP has actually declined to $17.7 Trillion according to 2023 IMF data

these numbers are not provided by the country itself but by economists so it's probably true
This is one of the reasons why Africa is so rich Zimbabwe made it rich it’s not because of inflation they worked for it and my source is I made it up

as an Iranian with 50 percent inflation i can say the living is hard harder then anyone in Europe or america can imagine. like you cant even rent a house with the payment. the increase the payment 20 percent but the prices increase up to 300 percent in a year . other than that is the lack of products . like you wake up a morning and see the there's no more oil in the shops or no more rice . i can say leaving in iran with the payment that government gives you is the hardest thing you can imagine.
