Thanks for posting! I found it to be really accurate and the things I wish I would have known before moving here! You pretty much covered it the expenses. Our apartment though has an administrator's fee which covers our water/sewage, parking, building maintenance, trash, and other incidentals. It fluxuates from 200ron-300ron a month depending on how much water we use and if there are any minor repairs to the building. I find we pay little or nothing for entertainment a month There's lots of free things to do around the city.

I'm American and I love Romania. I've been travelling there since 2005. I've been a total of six times. I've strongly considered moving there when I retire. Most likely in the Transylvanian region, I love Brasov and Sibiu, but i would prefer somewhere outside the city where it's more quiet.

How much did the country change since 2005? Do you know if you've been recently back in Romania? How would you say it changed, did they improve at their most potential or they could improve better?
@brianwilliams9408
Жыл бұрын
@@xRlly It has changed a lot! I was last there in 2018. So many improvements. The craft beer scene is much more prominent now with many restaurants offering microbrew beer. And many restaurants have adopted no smoking policies. Back in 2005, smoking was everywhere. The roads have improved, not a huge improvement, but much better. Romania had the worst roads I've ever driven on. And the country has become more adept at promoting their tourism industry. Now there are double decker tour buses like in London, in Bucharest. But their admission into the union back in 2008 was not a good idea. Too early for them. The price of food and essential items increased but wages stayed low. And corruption is still a problem but getting better. They haven't converted to the Euro yet, but I'm glad because it's still cheap for tourists. In Miclosoara, they restored the old castle hunting lodge. But back when I was there, I used to play hide and seek with the local kids inside the old ruins. That made for a unique experience. Now it's used for events. So that is an experience that never be duplicated. So some of the old charm is not there anymorein this particular example, but I'm glad they are restoring the old casino in Constanta. It was still closed and in poor condition when I was there in 2014. So Romania is definitely heading in the right direction!

I am a Romanian that moved to Canada long time ago and now considering to move back to Romania on Canadian pension. To be in Europe and explore, that is the goal. So I don't care where I live, as long as it's safe and has good internet and mobile signal. My main concerns are about renting, are there any protections for the renter, or you are at the mercy of your landlord, to revise your rent or even terminate at their will? Also I found no information on how to get the papers again, but that probably I can figure out.

Well, the gas part applies mostly during winter and colder days. Technically during summer, you wouldn't consume much. Secondly, the electricity has run up in the past years and part of it has to do with the speculation from traders. You can however change your electricity provider and find one with the lowest prices. If you move to the countryside and have a little bit of land you can make your own food and it tastes completely different to what you find in the supermarkets and life gets so much cheaper and healthier because you are away from noise, and pollution, you can grow your own food, we got great and cheap internet so if you work from home, Bob is your uncle. Also, a lot of expats have been moving to Romania which means that even if you don't speak romanian you can still find people to hang out with. Good luck with your channel.

John 3:16-21 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
