Regardless of what Bill Cosby did, this show will forever have a special place in my heart.

Yup thats the way I look at it too. These are warm childhood memories and I cant just erase that because Cosby did bad things in his private life
I really like how Claire sums it up at the end about personal responsibility and accountability. In the end, we want to support our friends and be there for them, but at the same time, we can’t take culpability for all of their mistakes too….it’s called being an adult 💯
I liked how Clair was so forceful: IT WONT! She really was the boss of the household lol

@@talltalllady True. Though I think that they dropped the ball on adding in her real life pregnancy into the show. It would have been very realistic for her character to be pregnant in college and out of wedlock and it would have shown that the Huxtables weren't so picture perfect as they may have seemed.

I loved how Claire said “Tell anyone WHAT?” without securing the promise Denise asked. Such an attorney response lol. I love her.
Claire is immovable, she always guides with love and strength..."you have to learn to care about people without taking on all their problems"
1:30 I love how even though Denise is portrayed as the most free spirited kid, she still knows how to set boundaries and how dumb it is to have a child you're not prepared for.

What's ironic is how Bill treated her when she got pregnant in real life
His episodes always had a relevant message. This is sooooo needed right now. These kids are off the chain, having babies left and right with any and everybody.
Why wouldn't they just get married without the dad's permission? It's a lot easier than having a kid.

@@malbrojay4740 which is wide to me, because they basically had a baby out of wedlock. Seems like that would be more taboo than running off to get married then having the baby.
Both ladies are so beautiful natural beauty..
I love how she slams the dishwasher shut. Lol
That's the thing about being young, you don't think things through. I met this woman who hated being in the Army and tried to get pregnant so she could get out. When she finally did get pregnant, her boyfriend didn't have a job. So, if she had gotten out, she wouldn't have a job either. She ended up having to stay in support the kid.
Denise was a true friend.
I am with Claire on this one

A lot of it is how parents raised you. And if it is a happy home. Any friends I had that got married young was because they wanted to get out of the house.
She got pregnant because she is “Sunshine.” 🤣🤣

Well, it happens everywhere all the time! I don’t see what’s so difficult to understand. Being young you think you know everything. I got pregnant on purpose when I was 19.. however, I had a job and was paying my bills for a long time. But my mind wasn’t as mature as I thought.. she’s now 12.. sometimes I want another and then other times I’m so overwhelmed even though my life is pretty much together, I don’t know how I would do it.

Women are the goalie of thier uteruses, She DECIDES who gets in. She DECIDES how long he stays in there. She DECIDES whether or not he gets in there at all. Oh that's right. No incentive for a WOMAN to be sexually responsible. The government can take care of you...section 8, WIC, food stamps, child care, maternity leave...all on the Taxpayers dime. How do men benefit from this again?

Pregnancy and childbirth are 100% on the woman. Choosing to carry a child to term is not on the man.
How can someone get pregnant on purose when they know that are not ready to take on such a huge resposibility? don't they know that getting pregnant and having a child at a young age is something that can never be undone? What denise's friend did was irresponsible. she should've concentrated on finishing college, getting a good job, getting married and then having a child. she needed to work first on getting a very good education and then very good financial security.

We need this show back. People these days are outrageously out of control, mostly because family and home life have fallen apart. You can’t go out and face the world in a healthy manner without a stable home.
