You are so right that a location change will not change regrets and state of mind. Something that may bring some smiles is volunteering. Even if it is only a day or two a month. Animal shelters, food pantry. Find a group to join that pertains to something you enjoy doing. Accept what peoples help. It makes them feel good. You are being valued and blessed by people who care.

Bob if someone is offering you a van that's in decent condition take it, t's a blessing from GOD. You can still stay put with a van while you are saving for a emergency fund. I love you my friend, you know I am here if you need to talk.

I realize friends aren't a substitute for a significant other or family, but I do hope you know you are never truly alone. You have so many friends right here. As for the traveling, honestly, it might help take your mind off things. Being stuck inside has been rough on a lot of people. The brain has nothing to do but sit and dwell on things. If you can't do the traveling, then try to get into an activity that will occupy your mind. Make some fancy nature videos or something. Even if it's just filming a tree. Get your creative juices flowing. I know you have it in you!

Sorry your feeling lonely. I have a significant other and sometimes I feel lonely too. Weird year we are living. Just take care of yourself my friend and yes put them out when you can and when you feel like it.

Thank you for sharing this. There's a lot of people who can identify with what you're going through, and it's important to talk it out and not just brush it aside. Definitely found myself lonely in these times on more than one occasion and it's not always easy to get through. Trying to meditate has helped, as well as looking for joy in the small things. Mostly, I let myself feel frustrated, sad, lonely, or whatever it is, but try to not let overwhelm me. I don't always succeed, but everyday I try. And as long as I keep trying I'm doing alright. Things will get better Bob, just keep trying.

Hoping to visit this summer

Loneliness is a tough battle. I have a fiancee and I still feel loneliness at times. Praying for you Bob

maybe make a list of 5 things or so that you can dive into at anytime on any day. things you can dive into and the next time you check the time, 2 to a few hours have gone by. also work within your circle of people who are the closest to you. dont worry if that circle was to get smaller. atleast you know who’s who and what’s what. dont worry about anything negative that goes on on the outside of your circle either. thats for somebody else to focus on. be you. take one day at a time. then go from there

I am a single parent and embrace it and if someone is offering a van fix it up and take it embrace it. Make sure you have emergency fund.

I think I may have found something I have the money for it. And still have some left over and start to build a good fund.

If we are ever in the same state you are during our travels, we will have to meet up and do some camping.

Getting married and having kids isn't as great as some people make it out to be. I was married for about 6 years had three girls, and went through a terrible horrible divorce the x kept the house, she's a dumb butt so she lost it she kept my truck and sold it. She now has car payments. Which i am now paying for through child support and alimony. Now don't get me wrong buddy I love my girls and would do anything for them. I guess what I'm trying to say is that being married and having kids isn't really going to bring you happiness especially if things don't work out. So keep your head up and stay strong.

I'm not sure how to put into words what I'm trying to say.

Bro, you should accept the van. It's a gift! You can also purchase "breakdown" insurance. I have bumper to bumper coverage for $75 a month. It's a $100 deductible and comes with roadside assistance, rental car and hotel stays during repair. Also get $400 to put towards new tires and free oil changes. Bob's keep your head up and stay strong. There's a kronie stream tonight @9 and would luv to see you there.
