@@nassimhaiouani3772 No, you can just parry all thrust attacks. However, if you try to simply hold block, the attack will go through and you will take damage. Therefore the timing is a lot more strict and you have to get the deflect perfectly, you cant do it too early and rely on a block

@@Torpax_ synonyms aren't always exact, there's slight variations that make a difference. Ex. Pary: ward off (a weapon or attack) with a countermove. Blocking: the action or fact of blocking or obstructing someone or something.

Nightjar and the reversal varient is the only ones I used consistantly for the whole game. Funny thing is I never knew this. I more used it to fight the headless enemies. Nightjar was my movement

I've been attempting the Nightjar Counter for a handful amount of times Looking at you doing it so easily... Made me questioned my skills

I stand by what I always say. If you’re good at timing and speed in Sekiro, it provides some of the cleanest and most satisfying fights in any game. Not only SoulsBorne games, but any game

@@swezy2266 First thing, you must be patient and persistent, the start of the game is the toughest part imo. Stealth kill enemies and minibosses whenever you can and try to take enemies 1v1 only, it's a pain when they gank on you. Explore the areas to find all the shinobi prosthetics. Also learn to parry, it isn't that hard as some people make it out to be, parry in Sekiro is like dodging in Dark Souls. Good luck man and enjoy this incredible game!

Dont give him time to breathe ..go nuts..spam r1..as soon as he tries to hit u parry once and spam again..use reflexes to respond to his special attacks..its pretty ez qnd fun once u get hang of it and 1st test of skills u learned..the game has steep learning curve and pretty soon u will be able to stomp noob genichiro

Also make sure you have the ashina arts skill tree. I didnt find it until my friend told me. Theres some perks that help make the fight a lot more forgiving/doable

As good of a game as Sekiro is, it simply doesn’t have more replay value than Elden Ring. The amount of different builds and playstyles that you can have in Elden Ring, simply just adds so much more replay value than Sekiro.

@@yamatemanBecause the combat itself is more fun played the same way every time than the minute difference in actual gameplay between weapon classes in souls games. You get different animations but the game is still R1, roll roll roll, R1, roll roll roll. Magic is usually a colored damage particle that moves in a straight line. Your build doesn't actually change the fundamental gameplay very much in a From RPG. Fighting Godfrey with a straight sword, curved sword, greatsword, pyro, it doesn't really matter, its the same fights, the same punish opportunities, the same gameplay loop.

I was stuck at that Drunken boss since 2 weeks and was loosing interest in sekiro so to keep myself in that game I used ur cloak for some new visual experience and just after that cloak I defeated Drunken Jozuo, Lady Butterfly, and the Horse Guy in one run 😂

Lmao I preordered this game when I was 15 I couldn’t get past the first ogre stopped playing for YEARS only to see you do flashy combos and I said to myself “I can do that” beat it 7 times and my first platinum, thank ya wasted for reintroducing this game to me
