Lifan is pretty famous in Vietnam for the engine toughness, with a 250cc it could carry about 300kg(or more) of stuffs when you're moving somewhere else, it's also cheap but reliable, easy to fix, cheap components to replace too, I've happened to work with one of lifan heavy duty cargo tricycle before and MAN,that thing got a kick

I own a lifan kp mini 150cc, it's a grom clone basically. It's reliable and you're right about the parts, getting replacements is simple. Maintenance is also minimal and easy to do, just a youtube tutorial about carburetors and you can uninstall and disassemble it easily for cleaning etc. Nice bikes, good engines, worth the money.

Maybe it is that awesome, as a beginner bike, that has some style. Hell, I myself ruin the secret of the VTX 1800, every time someone asks me about mine. Think about it. It still sets the bar for 0 to 60 for a facoltory v twin, a decade after it went out of production, and held the fastest quarter mile time for two years, until the M 109 came along. And still beats that M 109 to 60, no less. And you can find them for $3,000 or less, easily. Mine was 3k OTD in 2015, with less than 20k on the clock, and is dead reliable, even at 16 years old. Nothing wrong with having enough faith in a product, to purchase as many as you can, and sell them, so the rest of the people can enjoy them. It's the American dream. Next part is in reply to the second comment. On religion, hey, hs has faith, and there's nothing wrong with that. Been doing my share of praying as well lately. Just ended up homeless, wife and I had to ask a friend for help, sleeping on the floor, and trying to rebuild again. I had a foot injury that was almost healed blow out, trying to pack up what we kept to store it, and the bone is showing. We are still working, and fighting, to make it. I'm keeping the wound clean, resting as much as I can, treating it, keeping clean bandages on it, and praying to God himself that I don't have to lose my foot. But she is my top priority, and her safety and health are my job. We WILL make it. My faith tells me 2 things. God won't hand you more to bear than what He knows you can, and we are working to get back on our feet again. And He helps those who help themselves. This ain't nothin'. Ain't the end, but a new beginning. We've been through worse, and when we needed it, He provided a hand up. All we had to do was reach for it, and do our part of the lifting. Sean exemplirlfies this in his life, faith, and success. He shares the Word, to help others going through hardship, to keep going, ask for help, and that they can make it, and further share their own blessings. To pay it forward by being that hand up. We need more of that these days.

Lifan has been around for a long time, I remember their "automatic" road bikes and their many enduro/dual sports. They seem to run about 50-100cc behind per regular cc of the big 4//6 names.. I used to get called to do reviews for the one local owned shop that sold them when I lived in the city-WBPA. I rode everything they had around the parking lot and area whenever I stopped in. I thought they were decent but very underpowered and needed various things retightened, etc. They had a 600cc auto that was pretty popular, they really had some power once you got the r's up passed 10k. Lifan has been around awhile and as long as you are mechanically inclined they will last you, as long as you don't mind rebuilding/replacing this or that from time to time. I have a ton of pics of their bikes from back in the mid 2000's when the shops were popping up all over the city to service and sell them for like 1-4 years, then they all dried up.

And even if you tell them what it's like, the words always fall short. Nothing like that moment, when you and the bike become one, and speed doesn't matter, in that moment. Nothing matters, but keeping the connection. One being, that has found itself, and its harmony, that once you reach that moment of zen, you will always be driven to seek it. When you and the machine become one, body and soul, you will never give it up. Best addiction I have ever had, even after 40 years, and my favorite one to share.

@@yolostardust1526 Amen. Getting back into riding after an accident, losing my girlfriend, and her unborn child, and spending 5 years 8n the bottle, saved my life. It gave me something to take my kid off my divorce, a few years later. And it got me and mom back on speaking terms, and closer than we had been since I was a kid. It gave my wife and her daughter something to bond with me, and brought us closer with those family rides. You can never outrun what's nipping at you, but you can keep it behind you in the moment. It makes things clear, and makes what you are dealing with easier to manage. Getting back on my bike was the driving force, along with my wife and daughter, that kept me from giving up, when I became an amputee. 16 years later, down half a foot, with only 4 toes left, I still ride. I still ride from NY to Cleveland, pick my daughter up, while my son in law is at work, and spend the day with her. My wife and I get on her Vulcan and my VTX, pick a direction, and just go. Right now, we are crashing in a friend's basement, trying to rebuild and start over. The bikes are what keeps us safe. As is the love of a brother, who he and his wife took us in, when we needed it most, who we also ride with. And yes, things are turning around, and going well. You are in our prayers as well, for continued good fortune.

I have had one of these for almost a year. I have ridden motorcycles from harley wide glides to suzuki Hayabusa's. I have to agree with this review this motorcycle is fun to ride and own. What it lacks in power it makes up for in styling and handling. I use mine mostly for commuting and playing on the back roads. I have however replace that ginormous muffler with a custom made exhaust and muffler for a better sound. The KPM will maintain 65 mph no problem. Top speed tested with gps 72. Not bad considering it's only a 200cc motorcycle. I get asked all the time what the heck is it and people are genuinely interested. Stay safe and keep the rubber side down.

The battle that I'm having now is getting parts to do the repair myself. The downside is the distributor will only send parts to an authorized dealer, and the closes one to me is 98 miles. I have 2 Chinese bikes and I love them. An adventure bike and a retro like the lifan. I hope you manage to get over people’s preconceptions and sell them. Cheap to buy and maintain and perfect if you want to learn about working on your own bike. They are the same spec and most of the time the same factories as japanese bikes. Yes, quality can be a bit lower than your traditional brands and you risk getting a lemon, but owning 2 or 3 bikes for the price of a traditionally branded one really makes up for it. Once you are out of guarantee any half decent mechanic can work on them as the technology is basic. Don’t keep your hopes up for a worshop manual, although i got lucky finding quite decently close ones for both of my bikes. Spares can be difficult to find in your local dealership, but in my case I can find everything i need on the internet. No, i am not Chinese or a stooge. Here in france small capacity chinese bikes greatly outsell traditional brands, and i have a feeling it is the case in other european countries like the uk, where i lived previously.

It's more fun to ride a small bike fast, than a fast bike slow. Been riding since I was 5, and daily a VTX 1800c, but I still ride mom's old XS 650, and enjoy the hell out of it. My wife does as well. She dalies a 90 VT 1100, and just started riding my 1600 Vulcan. We crank on the night ones, we risk our licenses and life. We can push the snot out of our little bikes, and almost never break the speed limit. Same with the matched set of Ruckus scooters. Same wind, different classes of fun.

The small displacement bike are fun around town etc. They aren't for epic trips. I have 2001 Valkyrie if I want to go two up with my wife for hundreds of miles which we do or for that matter if I want to go ride for hours in the country. The Valkyrie does what it does very well and people are fascinated with it. It catches eyes. The other side of that is, it is a big heavy bike, sometimes light and slow is just as fun. The closet city to me is Savannah Ga and if I lived there I would have some sort of a cheap cafe racer. I don't need 900 cc for an around town bike.

@@vashspecter Fortnine actually recently did a nice video on contaminants and particulates in a few new motors. Most of them were varying levels of fine, the Chinese one was absolute garbage and will 100% wear down super fast. I'd be surprised if it had good compression at 10k miles and any at all at 20k. Honestly, it might be fine but I'd call it a gamble for sure.
