The Coolest 1911 Grips You Could Own- Alchemy Custom Weaponry

In this life, you get one shot... why not go all out with some ancient mammoth ivory grips to accent your beautiful 1911 pistol?
Man has been incorporating ornate bone and wood into firearms since their invention. Something that, in our age of "tacticool" seems to have been unfortunately lost to the history books. We at ACW find that to be a tragedy and are now offering four variations of mammoth ivory grips for your ACW 1911.
In addition to mammoth ivory, we are still continuing to offer our "Premium Grips" which include Ironwood, American Holly, Figured Walnut, and Ebony.

Sending you Guy's an Email. Helpful hints on Ivory and Mammoth. Great vid Guy's! Here is a little of it. The "Schreger lines are a German term. It is called cross hatching here in the States. The pattern is from the way the hair grows and calcifies into the actual Ivory. Walrus has a beautiful cracked ice appearance when properly cut and polished. The Holly can be stabilized just like the Mammoth and will do away with the carbon stain you mentioned. The advice to use Rubber "O" Rings is excellent advice. It will also keep the grip screws from shooting lose on any other grip material and stops the need for over tightening the grip screws. Also good advice is the use of the Renaissance wax and was developed in the UK for protecting the fine historic weapons in their museums. KnifeMaker/Retired after over 47+ years in the Craft

Had some giraffe bone grips made for blue colt gold cup from Joe Perkins at classic single actions. Long waiting list but well worth it.

I love the look of the American holly grips. I ordered them when i bought my prime elite. But i still go back to the "cheap" grips. Honestly i like the look. It would be nice if you guys can find a some brown g10s so we wont have to worry about rust.

Lightly oil the grip frame under the grips. An all to of the ignored area on a blued 1911. Natural Micarta, particularly canvas Micarta is much more beautiful than G-10which is nothing more than Fiberglass and is naturally grippy and becomes more so when moist such as in sweaty conditions. Green Dark Green Micarta is a Knockout! And exactly why the Loveless Custom Knife shop and I have always preferred it. KnifeMaker

@michaell397 yes i oil generously under my wood grips. My other 1911s i run different styles of vz grips. I really love the firm grip i get from the g10 grips. Vz just doesn't have a color that matches wood that well anymore. Their cherry wood is a bit to red.

I've heard that ivory has a tiny bit of 'grip' to it. Is that so, or are they completely smooth?

It has micropores, I own several ivory grips. You need to clean and care for them though. If not they get filled in, like g10 to an extent. Bare wood grips are a bad idea.

Stop using the word literally incorrectly.... literally infers that it is written in a published book. The goofy generation after millennials started that strange "KZread language" with words like bruh, and horrible usage of words that are improperly applied. I like your videos but it makes you look ignorant. Please do not fall for that garbage. I respect you and your channel too much.
