I felt that way too, my favourite was the first movie because the fear of the unknown, not knowing what the spirit/demon looks like absolutely terrifies me!

It was so emotional moment when Lorraine met the sisters, i mean they'd be meeting about 40 years later!!!😭😭

yes I thinkbthe reunion was sweet too. J think the Warrens were sincere and in this case, hey they had no clue what to do and admitted it. I do not think the Warrens were on the take as so many others ARE and use the family as in the Amityville and the New England house in first Conjuring.

It is different then the other conjuring movies imo...and very well done..seems so much more believable then the devil made me do it which was so overdone it seemed fake...this movie seemed like every scene could actually happen.

Poor Janet, she lost her youngest brother (died 1981) and then her eldest son, went through the terror of a haunted house, and possession. What could be worse? I feel do bad for her.

I really felt for Janet in this film, and seeing her in real life. It must feel awful to believe in something or be experiencing something so vividly and horribly, and have no-one help you because they don't believe you. That's the true nightmare for her, that she feels unable to share what she went through because so many people rejected her as a result. The movie has sensationalized her ordeal, but I hope people feel some sympathy for the former child who was convinced that spirits and ghosts were attacking her and her siblings. She's still quiet and withdrawn even today, and that makes me feel so sad that she's still carried that fear with her into adulthood, that fear of being alone and disbelieved.

She may be convinced it happened to her because it DID happen to her. I lived in a house that was what would be called haunted and it was very real and stuff happens to my entire family and every guest that came over...even my son's bus driver was seeing a ghost in our driveway with our kid waiting for the bus

I think maybe the reason people dont believe is because we have "all knowing" scientists that say this stuff isnt real and cant possibly exist because.....science. well, "science" doesnt know everything and ALL scientists are human and all humans are fallible. Just because someone doesnt believe in something doesnt mean it isnt true. If someone doesnt believe in gravity and walks off of a building they will still fall regardless of their beliefs.

The skeptic played by Franke Potente never saw any real supernatural evidence and stayed a smug non believer, which annoyed me no end. In movie with supernatural elements, the non believer seeing evidence and being shocked is sooooo satisfying to me. Similar to the psychologist Dr Silberman in Terminator 2 seeing the T1000 pass through the bars.

@@farmsalot1233 I'll admit, the families involved with the other cases were not happy with Ed and Lorraine Warren. They strongly despise the movies and they've been sued multiple times. What's strange with this particular case though is that: a) Many outside witnesses with no reason to lie, like the police and the scientists, and they agreed that something strange was going on b) The family clearly admire Lorraine. When they met up for the first time in many years, as shown in the video, they were almost speechless to see eachother. The family were clearly grateful for Ed and Lorraine's help. I'm a very skeptical person so I've been reading lots about Ed and Lorraine Warren over the last few days, but the Enfield case is definitely the one that seems the realist and with the most evidence. Whether things were really the result of paranormal acitivity is unclear, but one thing is for certain- something in that house was happening and the family were clearly distraught over it.

i feel bad for Janet, honestly. i was that same age when i had a paranormal experience but i'm thankful it was not violent in any way and my parents/family believed me right away. it's the only time i've ever experienced anything like that & i have never gained anything from it personally. i think it's horrible when we don't acknowledge personal experiences simply because a child experienced them. i believe Janet.

@@nekdawg4806 my experience also comes from someone using a ouija board! So scary to me. I will never mess with a ouija board & that type of energy.

I really feel for this family, I was 8 years old when this was going on only 15 miles from where I was living, and you can obviously see the psychological impact it is had on Janet, the fear is still real to her, but I believe that everything happens for a reason, despite how it's affected her, she gets to tell the story that the paranormal world is real, which helps us to understand that these evil entities exist and prey on the vulnerable. Bill Wilkins, the entity probably chose Janet as a channel because of her age and her innocence, above that she was probably the most sensitive among them, which unfortunately gave this entity more power over her. I hope she can find some closure and peace in her life.

Bill Wilkins wasn‘t the spirit that haunted her, he was only a vessel for the demon. The demon was using him so he could disguise himself and trick ed and lorraine in believing that it was a spirit haunting her, not a demon.

Vera farmiga is a very beautiful woman. They chose well when they cast these two for the parts of Ed and Loraine Warren. The acting on the part of Vera and Patrick is second to none. If you didn't know any better, you would swear imo that these two were really married. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 bravo!

The first conjuring is the best one and the scariest of all 3!!

I didn't believe myself in that sort of stuff until , while traveling in the mountains of Nepal , i had the chance to attend an exorcism of a young girl in a remote village, close to Tibet . The exorcism lasted a whole night on a full moon i remember . I took many pictures of the girl that night as well as the shaman in his trance that lasted hours . A few days later , back in Kathmandu i decided to enlarge some of the pictures and remember being startled by one of them in particular , when seeing demons faces surrounding the girl's face, and looking at me .. I believe 180% of that stuff now. We definitely live in a spiritual world , and we are not alone ...

Also what business did u have in Nepal to get u into an exorcism shooting? I feel like answering this in appropriate detail may validate ur experience and give us some sort of background. I would like to conduct a study on the supernatural as I am a university student looking for some leads, sources, witnesses. @@valck5507 No business whatsoever , i was just a regular traveller backpacking in remote Nepal ..That exorcism took place while trekking and getting lost in the mountainous Langtang region , close to Tibet .. ( long story ..) Shamanism and exorcism represent a big part of Nepalese's culture . You even have a shaman festival at Gosainkunda lake every year, located at an elevation of 4,380m. Check google image about it ..

The sisters look completely lost, it seems it affected very deeply their life...

this series are the best story to tell ...

Literally just watched this movie on TV for the first time. It started out so well, pretty accurate to the accounts I've read and the documentaries I've seen - whether those were true or not. Pity the film went so 'Hollywood' in the third act.

After watching the conjuring universe....i am emotionally attached to other side of life.

I feel so sorry for Janet, I pray she is OK 😭💕

How horrible. Imagine how bad it is to get bullied and threatened by someone. Now imagine to get bullied and threatened by an invisible force . Petrefying!!!

The first conjuring film will and will always be the scariest film of them all- hands down

This was another masterpiece of a movie. Scares & jumps galore.

Ed and Lorraine Warren were only at Enfield for one day. The investigators who helped the Hodgson family were Maurice Grosse, and Guy Lyon Playfair.

I want James freaking Wan back for the fourth Conjuring movie. Conjuring 1 and 2 were absolute masterpieces.

This movie doesn't scare me. I just love the acting and the effort they put into it.

We lived in a haunted house for 6 years, from 1962-1968. All was fine until my friend and I used an ouija board and then the fun happened. Whatever you feel about the paranormal/supernatural, when you come face to face with it, it is terrifying. Years later my brother met a friend who told him his boss had bought our house but moved out after a year, as it was 'haunted.' We do know it was boarded up for a while and that fact alone speaks volumes. What did we experience? Doors opening and closing by themselves, sash windows opening and closing, again by themselves. Objects moving on their own, footsteps on the floor, heavy breathing, and whisperings, one night a kettle being filled and switched on when we were in the front room. Nobody spoke about it, nobody admitted the house was not right, but years later we have done and most of us have some very clear and scary memories. My best friend stayed over one Saturday night but she never did again. So it was not just us as a family experiencing strange things, friends did too and that makes it very real.

Those things happened in my university house! Me and my flatmate would be sat in the living room and suddenly the kettle would start boiling. It happened three times. Each time we'd run into the kitchen and there was no one there. Our other flatmates were upstairs and had no idea what was going on. Plus the stairs were so creaky we would had heard them moving around. So bizarre.

This was my favourite movie of the Conjuring series.

That was AMAZING VID . Too them.all FANTASTIC , It did bring a tear to my eye 😪 , 🇬🇧👍👍👍

Janet I am so proud of you for the things nyou have endured and where you're right now.. do not let those negative Sid eof the people affect you cause they were not the one who experienced and gone through of what you've gone through and I don't know if you will ever see this but there thousands of us who is always praying for your health and safety .. so pls stay safe and loads of love to your rest of family too 💗

The Conjuring 2 was really scary ! The Conjuring 3 made me fall asleep...

Gotta say I feel the same way. The middle section was dragged way too far and the finale was just dreadful. In the final 30 minutes I felt like I was watching a soap opera. But the conjuring 2? Probably one of my favorite movies in recent years, horror or not.

@@jas_094 Ah not a shocker that 3 fell apart quickly then. Definitely have to question why they'd chose a director that did the worst movie in the franchise instead of the man known for making the conjuring feel special.

One of the best parts of the movie was when they did the water. Thing and you can almost see the transmigration of the spirit essence. Of the wicked thing. And the optics were done with masterful and artistic effort and distinction

You can see the pain in their faces how someone would doubt about it after so many eye witnesses like the famous Loraine and Ed Warren ? Some people need to learn the word compassion!

My favorite is the Conjuring 1, but Conjuring 2 was also a masterpiece in its own way! and the fact that they include the hoax and facts made the movie more amazing and interesting!

For me, it's 2,3,1. The 3rd one was so crazy!

Nah 2,1,3 i liked the 3th one for its turn in direction. But thats it.

Regardless of what u believe....something terrible and traumatic happened to these girls....a entity that never had a human form attacked them is what I believe... something not of this world...a dark energy, a demon, a manifestation of evil made itself known to this family and only they and Lorraine and Ed truly know what happened. There are things in this world we will never fully understand and I truly believe that

My favourite conjuring movie

I remember reading about the case in the Daily Mirror many years ago. I believe there was a genuine haunting although there was also a lot of pressure on the girls to perform.

Vera farmiga is. A lovely woman and an awesome talented actress who played a lot of different roles and really brings the quality of content that I look forward to seeing

When this was broadcasted on TV, along time ago, I decided to record the documentary onto a video tape and then I decided to record the poltergeist voice onto a cassette tape. The poltergeist said “I’m on top of Janet” in the documentary, but when I played back the cassette tape, I heard a faint sound of the poltergeist, saying “On top of Janet “ over and over again. It wasn’t on the TV, or the video tape, only on the cassette tape. I was personally freaked out by it and I ended up playing the cassette tape to a vicar. The vicar called it demonic and it needs to be destroyed... so I ended up destroying the cassette tape. Years later, I tried it again and nothing happened

I truly feel that this poor family suffered absolute fear , I have never seen a ghost but I do believe that people all around the world have seen them , I believe that to be true .

I remember this story ❤️

Conjuring is the best horror films EVER! .. and I've seen almost every scary movie out there

The conjuring 2 is going to be one of the most interesting horror movie in the film fare till today really I don't feel bored no matter how many times I watch this movie it's very interesting I feel like missing something if I miss watching this film anywhere heart touching film

I’ve been to see the house in Enfield and it’s still there, with a sign in the window saying “Jesus lives here”. Apart from that, it’s a normal looking house.

I do not care how poor I am / would be ..I would literally live on the street quicker then that house Edit : where is that house now is it still there? Is it occupied?

Yes. I was over that way the other day. Walked past and took a photo of the house. There was a sign on the window that said “Jesus lives here”

A big kiss for all movies

This haunting took place in 1977 which is exactly 6 years after the Perron Family haunting.

I remember this far too well!! She came on the "this morning" show in 🇬🇧 and Phillip scholfield was patronising and being sarcastic. You could see the horror in her eyes. Ed and Lorraine came to the house in North London, green street and met her when she was a child. Ed said many laters I remember you as a child.

Those levitation pics look suspect honestly..looks like they jumped and took the picture mid air...if they had been levitating in mid air in a flat bodied position maybe would be more believable ..idk..hard to say but great movie!

Not all of the Enfield photos that have been made available to the public (not all have been) show Janet in a posture that looks like jumping. For example, do a search for a December 17, 2019 post titled "Some Enfield Photos Rarely Seen" at Triablogue for a photo of Janet apparently either landing on or lifting from a bed while on her head during one of these levitation episodes. We have signed statements from witnesses, including people who had been skeptical of the case prior to what they witnessed, who saw Janet levitating in the sort of horizontal position you refer to. Janet participated in a scientific experiment at Birkbeck College in 1982 that produced paranormal results when Janet tried to levitate. Even the episodes you're criticizing, in which the photos resemble somebody jumping, seem to involve something paranormal on at least some occasions. There were multiple witnesses widely considered honest who saw some of these levitation (or throwing) episodes occur, and they referred to how Janet would be pulled out of the bed in a paranormal manner, then be thrown across the room in the upright position shown in the photos. So, the beginning of the sequence was clearly paranormal, even thought a photo taken in the middle of the sequence might not look paranormal. For more about the evidence for the authenticity of the Enfield levitations, search for a September 13, 2019 post titled "The Enfield Levitations" at Triablogue.

@@jasonengwer8923 These photos are not levitation in the accepted sense, and shouldn't be labelled as such. The actual levitation witnessed by the 'lollipop- lady' was when Janet was either asleep, or in a state of trance. And as you know, Janet would suffer with fits and sometimes fall into a trance state.

Why are people so quick at doubting something just because they can't fully understand it? There have been some paranormal happenings in my family and with people I know. Not every sinle person is a liar or an attention seeker...

Best horrormovies so far Second for me is it 1 and 2

I'm a firm believer in the paranormal. It's just one of those things people have to experience it for their selfs.

This conjuring movie has a lot of emotions.. I remember their mother yelled because of no money 🙁

My 2 fav actors just happen to play ED & Lorraine warren , I don’t watch movies like that but I had to due to them

I lived in GTMO and had similar experiences in my rental; it went on for a year and four months even after the house was blessed by the Catholic chaplain before I had to move because the older homes were being torn down. (After I moved, I never experienced anything unusual/paranormal in the newer duplex.) I spoke to to the Navy Housing manager about a the situation. She told me that slept on her sofa in the living room every night with the TV blaring because of unusual activity in her home; objects were frequently moved around the house, and she heard heavy footsteps in the home. Once her patio door was found open, though she had a ritual of closing and locking all doors every night. She told me about the MPs being called to homes for banging noises and worse. For example, one woman called the MPs out late one night because her husband woke and saw an elderly woman walking down the hallway toward their bedroom. Then she turned and entered the bathroom. He told his wife what he saw. Against his will, she called the MPs. They checked out the situation but found no one. Read up on GTMO paranormal.

Crazy this is a true story!!!

I experienced something worse than this so watching this brings up some rough memories. I don't even believe it but I remember it pretty well. Scary stuff
