I feel bad for Shiyi because everyone continues to blame her for things that have nothing to do with her. Concubine Wen thinks that Shiyi is responsible for Lingyi's decision to send their son away when she's the reason he started being a real father to him. Wen didn't care about the Marquis until he fell in love with Shiyi. He didn't stop visiting her because of Shiyi..he stopped after witnessing the greed and lack of respect by his all of his concubines after his late wife's death. Shiyi is an innocent bystander to all the greed and backstabbing that's occurred in this family. In the end Lingyi will finally have the family life he's always wanted..one wife and ZERO concubines.

All started with greedy men who figured that it would be so awesome to have more than one wife. 🙄 All that did was lead to more women becoming miserable, fighting for favor, and greed, while some turn to murder to take out rivals. Usually it’s the innocent woman like Shiyi who becomes victims of the plots because of their good nature and kindness, as well as the children who become pawns in their games. While men play dumb as to why women would behave in such a way. I’m so glad most cultures have done away with multiple wives and harems.

@@wandachristian1884 no problem.. you have a point. The concubines system was deeply flawed. The men were too weak to handle multiple wives. I was glad that Lingyi final stood up for himself and Shiyi. He was so happy with his new life.

Well said. Wen got off way to easy though.

Lingyi failed to explain clearly why he is sending Yu away to study. He should have stressed that he is sending him to better him in preparation for his future to be a scholar and not drive him out of the family. While I agree, the kid is too young to study away from his family. They could have waited until he's at least older like 15. Misunderstanding occurs because of lack of proper communication. It's also not helpful that Lingyi was an absentee father for most of the child's life. So this decision really came as a surprise and felt like Yu was being sent away in order to protect his younger brother's status in the family.

文姨娘说的也没错，小娇妻确实是在她生辰那天和侯爷圆房了，但这是侯爷的问题，因为侯爷的心没在这，跟小娇妻无关，也只能怨自己没办法留住侯爷了，其实还是有点同情文姨娘😩😩😩

I see why the sons were kept apart. Concubine Wen warned her son to stay away from Zhun because he'll be blamed if anything happens to him. All the adults turned around and stared that little boy down when he was said to have been nearby.

The problem is no real communications, only lies, greed and Deception is what they only know of. Then once their caught up in a big mess, then they what to clearly explain the situation. They all acting childish everybody what’s to talk behind your backs.
