The Complex Sisterhood Of Queen Elizabeth II & Princess Margaret | Two Sisters | Real Royalty

It has been said that no two sisters were ever less alike. One reserved and proper. The other lively and controversial. One the anchor of a commonwealth of nations. The other searching for purpose in life. Queen Elizabeth II and Princess Margaret are among the most photographed women in history. But what of the real women beyond the royal splendour, and cheering crowds - beyond the Crown itself?
From Elizabeth II to Cleopatra, Real Royalty peels back the curtain to give a glimpse into the lives of some of the most influential families in the world, with new full length documentaries posted every week covering the monarchies of today and all throughout history.

The Church of England was not created so that Henry could get a divorce. It was created to invest Henry with the power to annul his marriage on the grounds that it was contrary to God's law to take his deceased brother's wife to wed. Divorce remained extremely rare in the Church of England, including among the aristocracy, until well into the modern period.

After watching the Crown the Netflix Series, gave me much deeper understanding that it's hard to make correct decisions especially when the issue of Margaret and Peter, Lilibeth had to decide base on her response whether as a sister or as a queen. And as well as the feelings that Margaret dealt with, we're all humans we make mistakes and feel emotions of envy, unfairness and loathe yet it's remarkable to see how that didn't break the relationship between the two sisters.

After having witnessed the abdication disaster due to the Wallis Simpson affair, Bertie would've been wise to include Margaret in the grooming lessons Elizabeth had to go through. It would have been much more positive for the younger sister's character, too! Yes, Queen Elizabeth is a good hearted humble, firm and disciplined family Woman. Women can be best leaders, and luckily she was brought up as an ordinary Royal decendant with no expectation of being a Queen until very late in her family's life that he realized that she must groom and train her sothat she ascends to the throne better equipped than him. She didn't marry into power, Power and Authority came to her Father And because of love and respect for his nation he obliged. Perhaps that's what may have caused him to smoke even more regularly. 😁. As for Margaret, she knew there can only be one Queen and Elizabeth was in line for the title. No need to be jealous. The girls were raised learning the protocols of the crown. That's it. She had all the privileges and comfort of a Princess. She had a beautiful life. She could have put it to better use. When the Queen gave her duties she choose to act frivolous where she could have been a tremendous help to her sister and help lighten her LOAD. At least, they loved each other very much.

Seems like the spare is always the troubled one. Reminds me of William and Harry. Charles and Andrew. I hope William learns from the "spare curse" and does better with Charlotte and Louis.

Doubtful. The one whom is to takeover is of MOST importance. Charles was of MOST importance, BUT Andrew is confirmed the Queens favorite when Charles was born the Charles spent the first years of his life with nannies and such; but when Andrew came around she was more involved with him.

They are probably the troubled ones because they are treated so strange.

@@Cityheart221 well, as I said Andrew is Elizabeth's favorite, look at how he turned out, with his scandals with human trafficking underage girls for sex; Idk if Andrew is still regarded as her favorite since his sex scandals came to light, but what I do know is Elizabeth is still giving Andrew money from her personal accounts.

In about 25 years Louis might fall in love with somebody who isn't white, British, his age or gender. By that time he will have realized that his parents did absolutely nothing to support his grandfather's second son, the spare. Louis is not only the second son, he's also the second spare. Then he'll know what he has to expect from his family and the media. I hope that at least his uncle Harry will be there for him.

@@tanjawinter6492 oh I genuinely believe Harry would be there to support Louis, UNLESS of course Luis turns out to be like Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie despising William Harry Catherine and Meghan. But despite the fact that Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie don't get along with William Harry Catherine (since she chose to be addessed when they got engaged, I respect her wishes), I do feel bad for them because they're having to step down from their royal roles/duties; because of the mess their father Andrew made for himself. Such a shame, his daughters shouldn't be punished for what their father did.

Both gorgeous! Love their classy style and they look so much alike. Almost like twins when they where younger.
