That ending was nothing we saw coming. The cowboy doll we had grown to love so much over the years abandoning his friends, looking for a new future. These movies really dive into many concepts for the toys. Particularly the studio-wide theme of plots revolving around obsolescence.

While toy story 4 was good and yes, I did get emotional at the end. I still believe that it’s a film that didn’t need to exist. The toy story trilogy had a perfect ending with the third film. Andy went to college and the toys found a new owner so they won’t be thrown out. Maybe we could have gotten adventures with the gang in the form of a TV show or a Disney + series or something like that. I did enjoy the 4th film but in my opinion, we didn’t need it.

Gotta love how the animation in the movies just gets better and better right up to the point where u can actually see grains in the green parts of Buzz's suit as the years go on! XD

Fun fact: Wayne Knight voices Zurg in the Buzz Lightyear of Star Command cartoon. Tim Allen was also Buzz for the pilot movie, but is replaced with Patrick Warburton for the series.

honestly toy story 4 had a okay ending we didn't see it coming and that's what made it stand out by being different and unexpected like jungle book we thought he was going to stay in the jungle but no he ended up in the village

Not exact, but I was 2 when Andy was 5 in Toy Story 1, 7 when he was 10 in the sequel, and was a Junior in High School when Andy was going to college in the 3rd. Even if I wasn't the same age during the movies' releases, there was still enough of a time gap between sequels where I was eventually able to watch each iteration at the same age as Andy before the next one came out.

I honestly don't believe the first Toy Story took place in 2000. Not only do the environments, technology, and home interiors have a 1990's decor aesthetic, but Andy himself physically looks age 5 in Toy Story 1 and age 10 in Toy Story 2... Also, if Toy story 3 took place in 2010 as your timeline says, that means Andy would have either moved out to college at age 15, or would have still been playing with toys in Toy Story 2 as a teenager (if your theory makes Andy numerically older than he physically appears on-screen.)

Doesn't feel right if the 1st movie takes place in 2000. The super nintendo in the 2nd movie released in 1990 so unless andy's mom got it for him in a flea market or something, that definitely doesn't feel right. He'd have an n64 at least, if not a gamecube (And yes I know the game is too high quality for a super nintendo, I'm just going by the controller & system.
