In this video we look at the entire timeline of Chuckie Finster from Nickelodeon's The Rugrats. I look at Rugrat's history in both The Rugrats and the spin-off All Grown Up. I watched every episode of The Rugrats and put Chuckie's life in chronological order.

I always cried when it came to Chucky and his birth mom, it was so sad that kids like Chucky aren't fortunate like others to have a loving mother to be there when they're needed the most. And I always loved how much Chucky was brave enough to go through the dragon door to save his dad from Coco
Classic Rugrats had so much love and passion I love how it teaches kids important lessons that stick even today, definitely a series that can't be replaced.
It's a shame the new Rugrats reboot isn't just a continuation, with the original Rugrats now as adults with kids of their own. It really would have been the perfect show for parents to bond with their kids. Tommy and Kimmy being the parents to the new Rugrats protagonist with crazy and cool Uncle Dill. Maybe that baby would the the more cautious one. Chuckie would have his own baby and wife (maybe Nicole or even Angelica!), and their baby would be the more outgoing one. Phil and Lil would both be married with children of their own (maybe Phil marries Susie or something), but maybe one of their kids would take the toddler role, and another the infant role. The grandparents (Stu, Deedee, Drewm Chaz, etc) of course show up on occasion.

You know Chuckies a real lucky guy. I know he lost his mom when he was just a baby but she still with him and Chaz. He has such wonderful friends, a second mother to look after him, and an adorable sister. He lost a lot at first but he gained so much more

The fact that he was 2 yrs old and fully understood he had 2 mommy's that loved him very much and his dad..family and friends always reminded him he was loved and included! Chucky is my favorite...then Miss. Suzie Carmichael 🤷🏾♀️🥰
Chuckie has and always will be my most favorite of all the rugrats. Mostly because of his life’s story and his character development in the later seasons of the show. When I first saw the Mother’s Day episode, it made me cry my heart out for him. And during the “I want a mom that will last forever” moment in the rugrats in Paris movie, I cried even more for Chuckie, making me feel the urge to hug the young boy.
That mother's day episode and many others are why I loved Rugrats cause even though it was a kids show it tackled serious subjects while doing it in a way that the kids watching it could understand
Jordan Fringe is a machine! How does this guy do it? He literally uploaded a video yesterday going over the johto region gen 2 arc of Pokémon. What an incredible video that was!

Hi Ronnie, thank you so much for your tip and kind words. So lovely, I really appreciate it ☺️ Are there any shows you'd like to see me cover?
Rugrats In Paris: The Movie is one phenomenal children's film.
🎉Thank you Lydia for reviewing my favorite child, Chuckie Finster! I find it funny that he's modeled after our favorite killer doll yet is afraid of everything! I'll never forget when Rugrats first debuted back in 91 on my eighth birthday! The Nicktoons definitely have a special place in my heart and long before they were established I used to watch shows like Maya the Bee, Grimm's Fairy Tales, Danger Mouse, and of course count duckula back in the eighties!🎉
In All Grown Up episode Truth Or Consequences it showed how they looked in elementary on a video showing Chuckie playing basketball. My favorite character is Tommy then Kimi when she was new. I hope we do get a series showing them in 30s now.
I'm so glad I found out about this channel via the community post of @JordanFringe94 ! As a 1990 baby, I absolutely adored the Rugrats growing up, and the one episode that ever made me cry multiple times was the Mother's Day episode. I think Chuckie's dad may be my favorite of the parents.
I am a twin (identical) and my sister and I LOVED Phil & Lil. Our next favorite was Suzie (cause we were half black so having a character that looked like us helped us relate plus just loved her sass) with my other favorite being Dil Pickles (the movie came out when I was in 2nd grade)
I definitely enjoyed Chuckie's relationship with his sister Kimi in both rugrats and all grown up.
Am I the only one that had to fight back tears throughout the video? This brought up precious memories of watching the series when I was a kid, and reminded me that Chuckie was always my favorite Rugrat. His trials and tribulations always made me appreciate him when I was younger, but now, move me to tears.
Great video. This was a very thorough, comprehensive, and formative character essay of Chuckie. I'd like to see you do a character timeline of Angelica. She has become a very misunderstood, and misinterpreted character in recent years, with many just remembering her as an insufferable brat, but if one were to watch the show, she's more complex than the surface level would leave one to believe, and requires a thorough look. In the reboot, they add some extra nuance and depth to her, giving the audience a bigger glance of her personality. The episode "Rescuing Cynthia" culminates in this direction, and I would even say is on par with some of the best specials of the original, specifically because it gives Angelica the unprecedented chance to be the protagonist for the whole story straight, and it presents a whole different side to her we never saw in the original.
I'd definitely watch a video of you going over Rugrats in Paris! Definitely an underrated movie. Also wondering what other timeline videos you'll do! Will they all be just the popular cartoons or will we see some niche stuff covered as well?

Tragically Christine Cavanaugh, the original voice of Chucky, passed away in 2014 and Chucky was always my favorite character and I also lost my mother though not as young as Chucky was but I still can relate with him and he’ll always be my all time favorite character
Chuckie was also my favorite character in Rugrats & I absolutely loved Rugrats in Paris as I had it on the orange vhs version and rewatched it so many times!
I honestly grew up in a one parent home, I really connected with Chucky when they did the episode about his mom.
As much as Phil and Lil were my favourite characters (I was an only child who wished I had a sibling alot), Chuckie was definitely the baby I really resonated the most with as I lost my father at a young age(5) and Rugrats was that one show out of all the shows I watched that wasn't afraid to address a topic like that and it made me realise, despite being told and comforted and going to grief counseling with other kids in similar situations, he may be gone but he's not really gone. To this day, I still can't watch the Mother's Day episode without my heart sinking back down to the day I very first watched it. Like Chas/Melinda with the flowers, my mother always told me the dandelion petals that you see flying in the wind were him watching over me. Simply just because of Chuckie, Rugrats will always hold a close place in my heart and I'm grateful for that
I adore Kira she was so kind and took chucky in as her own without any hesitation she was a great addition
Thanks so much for having me on! This was a great video!

Now this is a video I wasn’t expecting from you, but damn am I glad you made it. Chuckie Finster was always the best part of Rugrats. He’s what made the show. Great work as always on this video! I learned some new things as I always tend to from your vids! Also side note - the first Rugrats movie STILL makes me cry my eyes out like no other movie can or ever will. I cry throughout the entire movie and I have no idea why, lmao. Its for sure sad, but I feel like maybe it’s the nostalgia or something that makes me cry every time I watch it too 😅
I grew up with Rugrats and never missed an episode
The Rugrats in Paris movie touched my heart when i was younger. I remember sobbing for hours because of the airplane scene with the song.
Having lost a parent myself when I was really young, I always related to Chuckie the most. Thank you so much!
The lead up to Rugrats in Paris was great. I remember Phil and Lil's mom trying to set Chaz up, including with a motorcycle momma. Great comedy.
My favorite Rugrat was always Chuckie and Dil. I related to Chuckie, me being the oldest of three kids. Dil was a cute, silly baby so I loved him.

I’ve always had a soft spot for Chuckie finster always kinda shy and is really sweet and also when the audience found out his mother passed away it was really sweet to see how chuckie would react to it that’s another great episode and it’s another reason in life why you shouldn’t take the small things for granted.
Chuckie was, is and always will be my favorite character in the Rugrats and All Grown Up, mostly due to how hilariously relatable he was to my brothers and me when we were kids. Plus he gave credit to Reptar in All Grown Up 🦖

YESSSSS LYDIA! Your taste only gets better! amazing.
I don't think I ever had a favorite Rugrats character. But, I do remember watching this show a lot especially at an old babysitter's house. Our family finally got cable around the fall of '99. LOL 😄 I remember watching the Rugrats in Paris movie in elementary school because a classmate brought it in. Thought it was cool. Coco LaBouche and Chaz Finster were not meant for each other. LOL 😆 The storyline behind Chuckie actually changed over the years. In the first season, Chuckie's mom was alive but wasn't seen. There was one episode where Stu mentioned to Chuckie that his parents would be there to pick him up. In the later episodes, they said Chuckie's mom became sick shortly after he was born and died when he was a year old. Turned out the writers intended for Chaz to either be divorced or widowed.

There are plenty of moments throughout this series that I wanted to teach Angelica a harsh lesson for being such a brat and a mean girl towards Tommy, Chucky, Phil, and Lil. Even though I enjoyed watching Rugrats growing up, I can’t rewatch it because I can’t stand seeing and hearing a bratty little girl being such a bully towards younger kids.

Chuckie was definitely my favorite, and now that I’m a single parent too his story hits even harder because I know how hard life is as a single parent, but with a great support system around me and my son it was worth it ❤
God that episode intro sounds so nostalgic
I loved Rugrats in Paris!! I remember my mom buying me the vhs tape. It was orange, and I got a straw with a reptar charm on it too.
One funny thing that I think a lot of people never talk about is the ending of bad Kimi. Right after they share a group hug, the cops show up to take em in. This was foreshadowed right before the reveal that Z was a good person when Phil said he was going to go get the cops. It's shown that that's exactly what he did when we saw him step out of the police car. A lot of people don't bring it up, but I think it's the funniest part of that episode!
Rugrats go wild was my favorite movie i loved the scratch and sniff! I too had every episode on vhs, rugrats in las vegas was really fun too ❤😂

I was watching the first episodes just today and noticed something... In the BBQ episode Chaz is talking to someone. A woman. This person, a red haired woman, never reappeared was just there at the table with him. I wonder if at the time the creators hadn't decided if Chuckie would have a mommy.

OK but can we talk about how cold Phil was with that "oh yeah, your bug died"

I really wish that when they decided to do a new 3D animated the Rugrats that instead of just retconning the original series entirely by bringing back the characters again, it should have been the babies we saw in the original series as adults and the Rugrats would have been their kids that would have been a much better concept
