Who remembers Dan having this big beef with QATAR after they switched some of his Q-Suite flights with regular Business Class & then they invited him to Doha & the whole issue was forgotten & he's been raving about them since? They sure got their money's worth. PS, I'm not saying these aren't his true feelings.

I hear what your saying’, but the only thing worse than a free two days in Doha in the middle of a Gulf summer is two free weeks in Doho in the middle of summer. Chances are he’d have preferred a few free flights, but Dan seems to be paying for all his travel. Well, except for those flights to berate management in hot-as-hell Qatar.

To be fair, Qatar really took this feedback very seriously and launched the 787-9 business class suite, that Dan also reviewed last week.

They impressed me with their response to the feedback for sure. Since last year, they send out emails when there is an equipment change from Qsuite and allow you to rebook for free (if you booked through QR) which is precisely what I was pushing for😄

Dan- I cant tell you ho happy I am to see you providing content. Prior to the pandemic I was a Million Miler, flew like crazy, and had just had my Concierge Key renewed, but havent been able to fly in over a year (Company rules). Your vids have been really helpful with keeping me sane and my love of flying stable . Hoping that changes soon, as I have university visit for my son, and a Europe trip planned for the wifey... Thanks Dan. We were lucky enough to go London-Adelaide and back in QSuite, a month before lockdown. Simply an amazing bucket list item and worth doing once in a lifetime. On a 6 hour layover, we paid modestly for the Al Safwa First lounge, which has since closed. An absolutely astonishing journey and so glad we just went for it. I find it always pays to learn you cabin crew's name. It is polite; and they are busy, and you get amazing service.

You are so good at what you do Dan! Thank you for all the content you share with all of us. I worked in aviation for many years and I can relate so much with some of your reactions, line of thought, and expectations. Pls keep taking us with you on a journey every time you fly! Wishing I get chosen to enjoy the QSuite with you!

Flew London - Doha, Doha - Manila over the weekend, and upgraded to the QSuite for the last leg, and it was worth it! Still a tray serve for the meal, but hot towels are back, and so is the candle. Service was fantastic, and looks like it's slowly returning to normal (or they're gearing up for the World Cup). I completely forgot to have the Lemon Mint though, next time!

Great review again Dan, I have flown business and first class with Qatar in the past ( upgraded may i add). I have flown with them from their start and never been disappointed, they are an amazing airline my first choice by far when i get to travel, hopefully that will happen soon again, thanks.

I'm really glad you did this update Dan. I'm flying in Qatar from CGK-ATL next week, I see that the DOH-ATL leg has QSuite. Honestly speaking is the service really much reduced due to covid (ie food service) or so worth spending the money to fly it?

Hey Dan and the community! I was just wondering if anyone had some knowledge about this problem I was facing. When I go to qr's website, and put in my destination for dates during december, it only shows me dates after 19 december. The route that I looked at is operating currently right now and after the 19th, but not before? Could this be due to the world cup? Thanks!

@@Romans8-9 base on my observation a roundtrip ticket doha to manila is around $1700 its 9 1/2hours flight. Another thing if u book online u will get 15% discount on duty free items too.

I honestly can't wait for COVID restrictions to lift so that I can finally fly in QSuite

At first I thought I was on your flight as well since recently I also was on QR273. But I wasn't since I had a bus gate. Something which still seems strange to me for such flights. Qsuite is great, so much more comfortable compared to the current 787 BC. But the crew always calls you by name and interactions are still possible but depends on the situation. I was already happy to be in the air again! Qsuite is king!

Agreed NSD. Service was noticeably slow, and the small things were missing. One question: I do find the seat limiting (1) because the table impedes my knees when watching TV (I do like to sit back with my knees up and the table just doesn’t work), and (2) I wish the seat was more customizable in being able to raise the leg section whilst watching TV. Thoughts?

Dan have you done an in depth review of the QR business class lounge? If not could you do one? I honestly get confused every time I’m there because I just don’t know all it has to offer, so I just end up going to the two same spots every time 😩

This is not just ur thinking, i flew from doha to seoul on q-suite. It was the best experience of my life. I have flown many airlines business class but none even come close to qatat airways. The free wifi and door was amazing but the business class lounge was the best lounge on any airport. If you guys have an opportunity u should definitely try it.

I got an upgrade offer for the same leg (DOH->AMS) next week for around $300 . This is the first time I try business on any airline, I hope the experience will be as good as yours.

I will be flying -- barring any problems -- in May of this year (2022). I have to fly from my home in Sacramento to DWF, and then flying in a business to Doha. I am staying there for a short break and then off to Nairobi. Coming back I will be flying with no layovers from Entebbe to Doha, Doha to LAX, and then home. I was wondering have the restrictions ended, and is it back to the pre-Covid service? Also, from Doha to Nairobi my flight is at 01:00 to about 07:30 how is sleeping in a non-QSuite Business seat. Flights into and out of Africa will be on 330s -- are they as bad as you said the 320s are? And, coming home I will arrive in Doha at 23:00 and my flight to LA is not until after 07:00. I was wondering if it is worth paying where you stayed -- what is the cost? Tanks in advance. Sally--

I was booked in Qsuites for my cancelled trip to Africa in 2020. Gosh, hopefully in 2023. For now, at least I am back to doing local road trips (8 days, 11 days) in Northern California. And a Seattle to Alaska cruise in May. When I fly up to Seattle it will be my first airplane trip in a year and a half! My hands were shaking just making the reservation. LOL. But I must say, checking into a hotel for the first time on my road trip, how wonderful! It was only a Holiday Inn Express, but it I liked how they explained on the website how food options and other things would work, as we try to still get Covid under control. Some day.... Qsuites. Until then, I experience them though people like you. Safe travels Dan and Ford!

Hi Dan, how would you compare Qsuites Vs ANA the room?

I experienced the same familiarity when flying a 4-leg flight to SE Asia. On my second flight, in Economy, the FAs welcomed me back onboard. I presumed that they could see that I had transferred from another QR flight, on my boarding pass. Or because I was an FF, who knows. Either way, of the 8 QR flights I managed before corona, the crew impressed me on all of them. QSuites is on my list, even if I have to sell kidney, lol!.

so exited to be flying it this week on sunday!!!!!!!!!!!

I’ll be flying back home for vacation in the Philippines next month. This will be my 2nd time flying in Qsuite. Indeed, it is the best business class out there.

About to book my first QSuite flight Paris to Bali for next July 2022!! Hope they will resume the pre-Covid service by then (luuuuv the candle on the table :))
