Yeah. Sad too, because I really liked ATJ’s Piotr Maximoff. He and Wanda fighting together in Ultron was a very cool thing and it’s too bad we didn’t get to see more of it.

Also, "The Decimation" is a numerically missnamed phenomenon, because that would mean only 10% of the universe's population was dusted, rather than 50%. You know Dan would agree with me. #DontAtMe

Decimation has just become a generic term for being reduced, we know it should be 1/10 to be accurate to the term. Language evolves and this word has moved beyond its origin, as inaccurate as it is now. Just like people use “literally” for emphasis, and not actual literallness

My theory is that it was named the decimation by the world at the time 10% disappeared, because as we saw it took more than a few days to get the information of all that dusted, but kept the name once it was found out 50% disappeared

@@crank9041 or, the far simpler reasoning that the way it is used is already accurate to the definition. Decimate has a primary definition of "kill, destroy, or remove a large proportion of". This is the current definition and how it is being used here. Decimate also has an outdated historical definition of "kill one in every ten of a group as a punishment for the whole group". This definition dates back to the times where roman legions where commonplace, so the argument that "it actually means 10%" would hold water if we are in ancient rome. We aren't, so it doesn't.

Because in the comic, Decimation is the event where mutant abilities are wiped out worldwide after Wanda went sicko mode. I guess Feige took the name since it's one of the few event in the comics with comparable scale of destruction and effect with The Snap

Joseph Flanagan it was and still is in some cases used to define destroying 1/10th but it had come to mean this Decimation-kill, destroy, or remove a large percentage or part of. Not necessarily 1/10th a large percentage in general

Tree-like alien, more like. For all we know (I haven't read the Guardians comics), traditional, Earrh-like, stationary trees don't exist on Groot's homeworld and he and others like him are the only plant-like life on it. They're similar to Earth trees, but they're not trees (unless he is in the comics...but I'm not sure the Guardians comics hold much authority in the case if the films, because Rocket is a raccoon-like alien in the books, but might turn out to be an actual raccoon from Earth who was abducted and experimented on in the films, we'll see.

i have a question please. I'm a little confused about the Tessaract's timeline? I thought it got lost in Cap America in the war....but the Kree had it? Or Shield? Or the CIA? (/whatever branch American government they were working for in Cap Marvel). Or was it specifically just Mar Vel who had it?....In which case how?....and then it got eaten by a Flerkin....but at some point the Flerkin decided "yeah no worries m8 this is a great idea" and coughed it back up for Fury?...which was somehow detected by Thanos and he gave Loki the mind stone staff to go get the Tessaract? Is that about right?....It just feels like there's some gaps
