Simon and Marceline are easily my favorite characters in the show, and Bubbline is the relationship arc which I credit for helping bridge me from the childish "love is icky!" mindset to recognizing how much romance arcs can add to a series. And if you guys think her story's complicated, just wait until you read the ambiguous/alt-canon materials-the comics, Marceline's Super-Secret Scrapbook, Adventure Time Encyclopedia, etc. They're a bit all over the place in terms of content, tone, and quality, but a lot of the inclusions are pretty interesting. In particular, I give a strong recommendation to "Marceline Gone Adrift". Also, for those who don't know, the reason why the "fry incident" is so significant is because Marceline hadn't eaten for several days to that point, while Hunson is deathless and literally cannot die. She scrounged together enough to buy a box of fries, only for her dad to eat them all, leaving her starving.

We get to see the former throughout the show, but there's also a couple of album where Olivia Olson sings the show's most popular songs in both of the other languages. I have the Spanish fluency of a toddler and can't speak any Portuguese, but the albums are pretty solid. If you search "Marceline Canta: Timeless Songs", you can find both versions of the albums.

Going and rewatching Adventure Time after Distant Lands, Marceline has quickly become my favorite character and stole the spotlight as secret main character for me.

i would describe marceline as being sweet and psychotic/creepy at the same time i would say she’s aggressive but in a good way

What if the war was due to Marceline. Considering she is essentially a spawn of a demon. Maybe other nation got wind and tried to destroy her but failed and in the process destroying themselves.

I thought the glass episode showed them both breaking up and getting back together patching it up somewhat but anyway it’s a good thing Marceline was able to stop the great gum, war or else it would’ve destroyed the world all over again

Okay but like, how did Marceline's parents chemistry work? Was it a legitimate relationship at all? Or was it like a classic "I'm demon nightosphere king person, and I kinda force whoever to bare my child" type of a thing? I would like to think he was going to actually consume her soul just like everyone else, but for some reason Marceline's mom was able to intrigue him enough and they actually fell in love.
