The fact that there was a NASCAR designed after Optimus and Megatron is just awesome. I also love how 3 of the cars got turned into the 3 Wreckers we know and love.

Some things to note, NASCAR cars reuse chassis and the sheet metal is usually taken off the car potential to be sold to fans which is why Christopher Bells hood is for sale and you can potentially find the rest of the sheet metal for sale or already in someone's collection. Second, Chip Ganassi Racing is no longer in NASCAR as their team was sold to Trackhouse Racing before the 2022 season. Third, The reason that Earnhardt was dropped from Chip Ganassi Racing's name is that it was originally it's own team know as Dale Earnhardt Incorporated but merged with Ginn Racing and then merging with Chip Ganassi Racing.

There’s something funny about taking Jeff Gordon’s car, famous for being a blue car with red and orange (and at the time greenish-yellow) flames, going “Nah let’s make his Megatron” and then taking a completely different car and giving it that color scheme.

As a NASCAR Fan, I’m glad this topic was touched up upon, no one really thinks about the wreckers and their alt modes in DOTM [Also just a heads up, the cars aren’t called NASCARS, That’s the sanctioning body. They are just called NASCAR Stock Cars]

It would've been epic if TF: Age of Extinction had a scene where both of the Wreckers fight off Lockdown has they desperately try to escape from him.

The scene could play like lockdown and cemetery wind track down the autobots, the wreckers stay behind to provide cover and escape time, then they split up but leadfoot is cornered and killed(unfortunately he died😢)

13:13 the cars were likely rewrapped and used again for other races. As long as the chasis haven't been destroyed in a wreck since, parts of them could still be being used in the NASCAR Xfinity or ARCA series. Or, they're being used as show/track cars.

Another difference Mike Joy mentioned is that Jimmie Johnson doesn't have armor on his 48 chevy. Plus the other drivers don't have armor on theirs either because race cars normally don't have armor and they don't need it. In the case of concepts thoough, besides just leadfoot having a pet dog in his concept art, in roadbuster's concept art, he has a chainsaw on his left arm which would've been freaking cool but that weapon of roadbuster's was sadly scrapped, plus topspin would've had normal hands with gas torches on top of them instead of claws for hands with gas torches in them.

I actually own the orange roadbuster, and I love it. It's super nostalgic and also the colors are gorgeous

I knew about the M&M collaboration but not the Optimus and NASCAR. Who else remember collecting g the M&M paper wraps with the M&M's cosplaying as the transformers?

Actually, the fire bros made a video about a scene that was cut from Age of extinction where Leadfoot and Bumblebee were at a power plant which was going to take place before Leadfoots death. So his vehicle mode was filmed but was cut from the final film

I love the DOTM Wreckers, but they’re probably my least favourite iteration of the group. They don’t really stand out that much since all the Autobots are pretty violent (doesn’t help that Topspin doesn’t talk until TLK), and also there’s no Whirl, and he’s the best Wrecker.

The Autobots are only violent in battle, barring Hound, who states he plain loves violence. But the Wreckers are just brutes all the time, albeit fun to watch. Though they very much are a victim of being in a movie with too many characters, not given too much time to themselves. Still, they're great!

Great video! I know you've discussed the whereabouts of other live action transformers vehicles, you should make one big video describing the location of every known vehicle. Just an idea of course!

For the DOTM and Human Alliance toylines, the non-weaponised versions of the wreckers appear to be based on the Nationwide Series cars instead of the Sprint Cup ones. You can tell by the shape of the rear spoilers and the front ends.

Dude I was pulling for Newman to beat Gordon so hard that night. Honestly I would have loved to have seen the 4 car by that point we had lost Bobby a few years earlier. If you liked the red and black on the 42 take a look at the paint job on the 42 when it was the Texaco car in the early 2000's back in the Gen 4 days. ( I'm an long time Transformers and NASCAR fan). The promotional stock cars could've been very likely to be repainted and used in other races. Alot of NASCAR chassis are reused for other races albeit with rebuilt motors.

I really hope they bring back all 3 of these designs in the new universe. I think bay was cooking something with them

Hendrick Motorsports built the Bumblebee’s Upgraded alt mode for Rise of the Beasts, so i think they have a partnership to build some of the picture cars

Unrelated to BaYvErSe but in transformers g2 they had a subline of toys called gobots which were simple penny racer cars. Soundwave in particular was based off of a NASCAR car making him the only nascar soundwave in history

Wow i did not know that NASCAR collaborate with Hasbro to do Transformers thats so cool I'll give Michael Bay that. And i also have a theory for you; in Transformers Rid 2015 season 2 finale Bumblebee melted Steeljaw legs to make sure he doesn't run away when the bomb explode. Then in season 4 Steeljaw returns unharm with his pack so I'll like you to make a video of how did Steeljaw and his pack survive to solve this mystery thank you.

I have no idea how licensing works but I’m surprised Nascar didn’t receive a thank you in AOE and TLK for Leadfoot and Topspin’s cameos. Wonder if they had to ask to use them again since while Hasbro owns the characters, the fact they’re nascar cars seems like it’d cause some weird legal issue. Idk, rambling at this point. Sadly the 3 ROTF stock cars probably got re-wrapped. Also from what I've heard Hendrick gave them two chassis to build off of, from I understanding and worked out a deal to get them back. Now to wait another 10 years to finally get the wreckers in the MPM line lol

This theory bigger than my aspects

hey trans theories I had a realization. so we know that the original 7 primes, the original ancestors to the transformers possessed abilities: teleportation and telekinesis and I realized that Sentinel and Optimus both possess telekinesis at least a little bit since we see them both hold the matrix of leadership without even touching it and Optimus again uses telekinesis in age of extinction at the end as he held the seed before flying off. what do you think of this? I'd like to hear your thoughts and maybe it could be a video discussing in further detail perhaps?

Man I wish transformers did more NASCAR collaborations as a Nascar fan it was awesome seeing those transformer NASCAR cars I would have loved to see what a David Ragan 6 fusion 2011 would have looked like as a transformer yes that is my favorite NASCAR driver of all time I really wish they did more with the NASCAR license than just those three in the toy line And I hope they bring back more transformer NASCAR like characters in the franchise cuz NASCAR's issue with marketing a lot is having them in a film franchise that would definitely help.
