@@Maidenrouge According to Egon's notes in Afterlife, Callie Spengler celebrated her second birthday in 1984. Therefore, she was born in 1982. Egon was married and had a kid during the first movie! He just was absent a lot from his family.

its important to remember that RAY(Dan Akyroyd) the writer of the OG ghostbusters movie STATED "if u have an appetite for the third movie, then the video game is it" and he also stated that the game "is essentially the third movie" That comes from the person who literally wrote ghostbusters and would ideally have the authority to declare whether or not something is or isnt canon, the game was only just recently deemed not canon, by the new director Gil Kenan who in all honesty doesnt get to make that call.... but i just watched frozen empire, and tbh it kind of seems like they reference the game a lil bit.

"Listen, you smell something?" made me burst out first time seeing it opening night in theatre. Loved it ever since and know the entire script word for word.

This is pretty good, but the narrator mispronounces MANY names. Note to writers: put pronunciation reminders in the script.

I guess it has something to do with Voldy not being at full power during their first encounters in the series (barring the baby Harry attack that started it all). Also, Mortyvold (coz we dun speak his name?) always has a gimmick per installment that somewhat refreshes his threat level until he could be revived into his full darkmeme lord form. Gozer on the other hand is seemingly a one-trick pony. It requires its rawdawggers to be a threat and is pretty straightforward with its villainous ways.

It exists, and it’s fine. I just don’t like the sheer amount of jokes that are dropped in for the sake of a joke with no relevance to the plot or characters, i.e. the repeated wonton bit, “where are my glasses? Oh wait they’re in my hand!”, and Mike Hat. For the amount of comedic talent in the movie, those moments felt obnoxious more than funny. And that’s a bummer for a reboot of a franchise that is well known for successful jokes that stuck the landing.
