According to the manga, grim reapers are former humans who committed self-offing and are made reapers as punishment. I can't imagine someone as loud and proud as Grelle offing herself so my headcannon is that her butler character disguise is who she used to be when she was alive.

I swear his jokes have me on the FLOOR. The whipping one was absolutely HILARIOUS. In regards to season 2, I'm torn because normally I'd recommend NOT to watch it since it's a noncanon mess, but at the same time, I would love absolutely nothing more than to see Danny react to the chaos because that would be the funniest thing in the world. However, I'm not sure the brain damage is worth the cost lol (the soundtrack bangs as always tho)

The branding was done by a cult that used ciel in an attempt to summon a demon they did unspeakable things to him , on his 10th birthday his manor was burned down by unknown ppl and his parents and dog were killed in the fire , during this time ciel was taken to be used by the cult which ended up backfiring cause ciels hate towards them made the demon appear to him . Ciel does have ptsd over this event . The name Sebastian was actually the name of ciels dog which our demon butler didn’t really like .

Ok so yes season 2 is terrible. But I’d LOVE for him to react to it’s opening because it’s my favorite

I really wish he did all of season 1 because it is WILD and it was my introduction into how insane anime can go with plots. Seriously, the Queen parts fucked me up.

Somebody probably already said it but : At 52:11, despite the fact that this weapon would be impossible to have at this time, I find that it's pretty appropriate for Grell to have it. I mean, in the manga (in the anime i's not said as clearly as in the manga) she says that she want to help Madame Red because they are pretty similar as they both can't bare children (Ciel's aunt because of her accident and Grell because she's a trans woman), so with what Danny read about why the chainsaw was creaed, I think that it's a pretty good choice for her weapon.

London's east end was the poorest section, and for most immigrants it would have been the only place that would rent to them when they first got to the city. It would have been cramped with little access to amenities. Tempers could easily flare under those conditions, and it wasn't like Britain and India were on good terms to begin with. It makes sense that poor Indian laborers wouldn't be welcoming to an obviously wealthy British person searching through their part of town. It's like Ciel and Sebastian are mocking them.

Can you really call it the COMPLETE season 1 experience when you only watched half of the first season 🤨

They already had the anime only stuff mixed in while in the manga it was pretty bland for the first bit. The Pluto arc as I call it took the still moment of black butler and added things that could be connected still.

There is one dynamic I'm not sure got mentioned...although a lot of little bits between Ciel and Sebastian did get covered really well. You totally grasped the level of trauma Ciel has...which explains a lot...but one thing less noticeable is the fact that, from start to finish, Ciel never forgets that he sold his soul. He expects to complete his mission, then be devoured. This is the real dynamic between the characters. Ciel seems like the 'boss'...but only by the conditions of his contract...after that, his life is over. Much of his worst behavior...is literally from resentment and a sense that caring about anyone is futile and pointless. while occasionally testing his boundaries to see if he can slip free of his obligations or finding out of the deal can be broken if Sebastian dies or fails. It's a subtle thing...sometimes hard to spot, but I get the impression that while Ciel is being an ass to everyone, hes actually all bravado covering up the fact that he's terrified of what happens if he finally succeeds...death and being consumed, as per his bargain. Sebastian's patience is because he's a gourmand of souls...just gobbling up whatever is handy is not his style. He wants a very specific set of circumstances in place when Ciel has achieved his revenge, so that the soul he consumes will be just right, anything less is a waste of his time and effort. This creates the weird balance between them, with Sebastian putting in as much overtime to get everything just right, and Ciel sometimes sabotaging it all or trying to make himself less appetizing or set up a situation for failure...hoping for a last minute way out of his certain doom.
