Thanks for the video. I love the idea the batteries are swappable and can be used in other tools. That receiver on the front of the mower is awesome! Thanks for sharing.

I have 3 double bay chargers. I charged all 6 batteries in the 3 chargers at once in the garage and blew a fuse. Now I charge in 3 separate areas of the house. I do Love this mower. I came across this video while looking for info on changing the blades. Hopefully it won't be too difficult.

I have (and primarily settled on) the 80V system because I can get batteries locally from Lowes or Best Buy, whereas the 60V is only available at Walmart. I've also noticed that except for Amazon and Greenworks' site, the odds of the average consumer seeing anything more one platform within a storefront is pretty small, and if they do carry multiple voltages, it's almost always 24V power tools and one of the OPE oriented platforms. Plus, other than a small handful of tools, the 82V platform is largely commercial sales only.

I agree a machine like that should have onboard charging.

I have one and after one summer it is great. Love using it to move around trailers like in the vid. Don't mind the external chargers, I will be getting a solar generator next year and will charge them that way. The only negative for me is the total unavailability of a circuit diagram for the unit. The USB plug is not very useful. I would prefer a 12V plug or even a more robust PTO for add on equipment. A quick release for the mow deck and the ability to switch the batteries over to just power the drive motor for extended runs would change it into a very nice ATV AKA "tote goat". There appears to be a "test connector" off to the side that I will be investgating with a multimeter to see what it is possibly for or if it can be of use. I just got the inverter accessary for the 60V batteries. A little inovation and this could have been a wildly popular product. Use it to tow a garden waggon and give the grandkids a "hay ride" great fun.

I'm tempted to get into the 48v platform because it doubles with the 24v line. Batteries seem more reasonably priced, also. I'm not certain I'm ready to go without gas power, but love the lack of noise. Hopefully the technology improves and comes down in price.

If they had made the mower into a 6 bay charging station in it's own right it would have been a game changer. Plus it in, slowly charge up all 6 batteries and just grab from the mower when you need one.

How is living with the reverse function since it requires you to toggle that switch? It’s quite a bit different than having a forward and reverse hydro pedal.

Also, one charger comes with it but looks like it plugs into the mower to charge all 4 of its batteries at once. Looks like they addressed that issue.

Crappy warranty though, only 4 years vs Ryobi/Hart at 5 years and Greenworks doesn't provide on-site repairs or transportation and you'll be lucky to be near a service center. That's a huge deal if you don't have a truck/ramp setup and the time to drop it off.

It’s very important that you remove your battery’s for security don’t let thug Jimmy steal your batteries, protect your batteries 🔋 from the Extreme cold/heat and don’t drop your batteries beyond that that’s all you need to worry about. Watch out for grandma 👵 driving your Greenworks tractor 🚜 to the market 🤨🧐

I know why we have such a hard time excepting electric , I mean the overwhelming majority of us will never get behind the steering wheel of a race car so to compensate we want a mower / power equipment to at least sound manly 🤷 Maybe with an electric mower you could install a sound machine of some kind c'mon they sound like a friggin' meat slicer for God sakes !!! 😆

My thing against full electric cars is when you look at the GPS I've heard stories where people getting to the charger and it doesn't work and by then they're out of luck and now have to either figure out a way to get a charger to them or get a tow truck to get them to one that does work, but I agree with a farmer I follow on social media where he says that he is more than willing to get some of his farm equipment to be Electric as long as it's something that he doesn't use constantly
