I am not a Joe hater, but I just don't buy that at all. Just my opinion but that has always read like a cover story, a way to make the fact that he spends a mil a month on gear more digestible. But when you hear him actually talk about this, especially in productions with less editing that mask slips quite a bit.
Mark’s interviewing skills are getting better - he’s actually letting Joe talk instead of answering his own questions. Great job on this one. I feel like this is an episode of hoarders but in an immaculate home.

Agree...no doubt the many constructive comments posted after the first three interviews had something to do with it. I remarked myself regarding Mark's penchant for interrupting, stepping on, and completing sentences for the interviewee. So rude and amateurish. He clearly has been coached and rehearsed this time around, thankfully.

Kinda wish they showed alot more guitars, cant get enough of joes collection
Here is a man that has sunk all his love, all his money and reverence back into what he values. Living and breathing it to preserve what has to be one of the greatest collections. It may feel to close too our yesterdays, but a collection that will have helped save our musical heritage. It may not have been his intention but it will help define the future of this art form. Hats off to you Joe. What we will appreciate the most is the axes on the edge of disaster that make well worn guitars, play another day. It has an untenable value as joy that we experience can’t be measured. I can only hope that when he passes, that it will be stipulated that a large portion of this collection be used again in private, in public and used in recordings of music that is yet to be penned.
I might be a strat guy but mad respect for making these Gibson... really makes you feel like you are a part of something bigger then a piece of wood with strings and some metal, I legit really really enjoy watching These

Would love to see that '55 hardtail in your hands Chris. Also - if you were ever approached by Gibson to make a signature Gibson - what would it be?
This guy is a genius. I've followed him for 6/7 years by now, I'm just getting surprised every single new vids I see. He bring vintage and rare guitars in the spot, on tour, and the guitar community can't be enough grateful to him
I feel privileged to be able to see some of Joe's collection and hear the stories about them. Thank you Mr. Bonamassa!! I love that you have kept them as their previous owners personalized them! It makes them so more real and alive. They have all had a life!! So cool! It's like they have worked hard all of their life and can now rest in Nerdville. And still come out and play occassionally.
These two work so well together. Agnesi doing what he does best and always a pleasure listening to Joe talk about his guitars. Great stuff
Amazing, I can watch this all day. Thanks Joe and Gibson 🙏
I have always appreciated Mark and his knowledge of guitars. He was the main reason I started watching videos on KZread. Joe is the absolute BEST and I listen to him just about every day. By far my favorite! So talented and down to earth!
All I can say is, Joe's music is basically a portion of my life and has been for over 20 years. Couldn't live happily without it now.
I've been looking forward to this one. What a collection, amazing stories and Joe's place is incredible. Also, I really got lost in thought thinking about when Joe said he's essentially just a caretaker of these instruments while we're all here. He's keeping the memories and stories alive of the people who owned and cared for these instruments before him. Thanks for an inspiring video.

It is wild to ponder how not a single earthly possesion is truly ever ours in any permanent sense. The things we own become a part of who we are--defining our interests and passions in a tangible way. But at the end of the day, none of it is coming with us. It's all left behind for future generations, to become part of who they are and what defines them. Take care of your valuable possesions while you're here, embrace the cycle.
I am not fond of his music, but do recognize that he is very talented, smart and educated, I have always enjoyed listening to his stories and free knowledge about guitars. Hope to have more of this soon!
Joe seems to be the nicest, nerdiest and yet coolest collector out there. I knew this would be a great episode right off the bat. And after talking about the first guitar for what seems like fifteen minutes before even opening the case, I knew I was right

I was fortunate enough to see him in the wild checking out a 355 in my local store. The dude is a monster - I don’t mean that in a bad way- he loves this stuff and actively chases it. Pretty cool and an amazing collector and musician.
A big thank you to Joe Bonamassa for sharing and preserving these wonderful guitars and amps for future generations. Lets hope the next owners do the same.
I'm left with the feeling that Joe would happily give the same tour to anyone who shows an interest, just because he loves the role of custodian so much. The '55 hardtail strat is the most gorgeous strat I have ever seen. Something about the burst and it being a hardtail. Thanks Mark and Gibson for doing this. By far my favourite episode!

An excellent episode. Mark listened more than talked. No hyperbole or use of “iconic” or “authentic”. Came across as very genuine and professional. Mr Bonamassa is a complete treasure and his commitment to maintaining historic instruments and kit is wonderful.
Joe bonamassa and his stories is one of the reasons why I loved those norms videos. Of course GOTD had me hooked daily. But I love listening to the night watchman at a guitar shop in the valley tell the stories about his guitars. Thanks joe! Thanks mark!
Joe loves to talk. We love to listen
Aside from the wonderful collection Joe has amassed, it is very heartwarming to know that there are collectors out there who do it for love of the instrument rather than for the willingness to flip it for the love of money. Cheers...
Can we just do a series of episode where Joe covers literally everything he owns? I could watch him talk about gear for hours. He knows the ins and outs of the item’s history and makes it super personal.
I hope after this, that you do a part 2 in Nerdville West... I know we would ALL love to see that black burst... Love Gibson and their artist friends for putting these together. Cheers to Mark for being a great interviewer and knowledgable historian in his own right. Please keep these coming. Slash, Zakk, Joe Perry and Billy Gibbons would be lovely additions...

I love Joe Bonamassa. Not only is he an incredibly talented musician, but he is at heart a pure guitar lover. Not only does he play the music and make a living with them, but you can tell he just genuinely loves them. He probably feels as though they are his children.

I'm just as enamoured with the ads, posters, signs and memorabilia. Guitarist like to be fans of products. The rca sign that appears in the background, how cool.
I’m just going to say Mark, you’re killing it man. I was worried when you made the transition because of all the people trying to make you fail. I don’t care much for his guitar playing, but I respect his enthusiasm Furthermore, he is generous with charitable events Kudos
Time is relative when people who loves guitars talk about their love for guitars. 1 hour passed by like 5 minutes.
And I’m back. And Seeing Robert Baker, RJ Ronquillio 👇 down there. just reinforces what I’ve been saying for years all us guitar players watch the same stuff. Ive watched all the episodes over and over. Cheers Gibson and Mark A.
Absolutely outstanding! Gibson, please ask Joe if he needs an older little brother, cause you know I'm here. 🤘🏻🎸
Love when Joe was talking about the '59 Burst and says "This stuff is still out there, it's not all spoken for". Right, it WAS out there until guys like you and Seagal, Gilmore, Steve Miller, etc., and museums started hoarding it! And once these guys or a big time guitar shop gets their mitts on the stuff, it's priced hopelessly out of reach for the average guy. But I guess that's true of cars or butterflies or whatever else gets collected?
