✅THE CNC Q2: AFTER ONE YEAR OF CONSTANT USE . 👎👍 Is this Tattoo machine still worth buying❓❓

✅The CNC Q2 Tattoo Machine review! Is it still worth buying after a YEAR of CONSTANT use?? Welcome and in today's video we are going to be talking about the CNC Q2 short pen, that is made by Hawink. I'm going to go over why I chose to buy this machine a year ago and how its performed over the year. We will discuss the PROs and the CONs to this machine and the company that produces it. Ss a spoiler I will tell you this machine has been nothing but good to me and for the money I dont think you could go wrong picking one of these machines up for under 200 dollars. I think its a great starting point for those looking for a solid machine with out breaking the bank.
I like to remind people that In no way am I a fantastic tattoo artist guys. I just love tattooing but I am still on my journey and want to show you how its done so you can do it and do it better then me!! 🤘
So don't give up if you want it bad enough its yours for the taking!

    I can second the cartridges not fitting 100% sometimes, I thought it was my cartridges but hearing it from you too I think it may be the machine. I never feel unsafe using it but it just doesn’t have that super satisfying click occasionally. That being said, it works so well I have no reason to stop using it for the level of tattooing I’m doing

    I started last year. Unfortunately bought a $70 wish kit with bad fake ink, (tried to use 1x ) never tattooed with it.I bought the Dragonhawk Mast Tour kit on amazon. $130.00. I've done 1 really good tattoo and the rest not so much. I'm hoping the CNC Q2 will give me the stability and quality for me to start producing great quality tattoos even though having quality tattoo equipment is just one element to giving a good quality tatt.Time will tell. I ordered the CNC Q2 and my lines are so much better. It’s so light. Lol. I did order a battery but ordered the wrong one so I have to return the battery and get the right one. Got the wrong type of plug on it. But it’s so cute and light. It’s crazy. There’s like no crazy vibration like the coil machine I have. It’s awesome. Thanks for doing a review and keep up the awesome work. Thanks again.

    Also might add the sol nova disposable grips fit this pen. They're a lil loose and you lose the "click" grip but they do work fine. You can add a thicker o ring to make them fit more snug.

    *Quick edit: they will ask for a video or picture of any broken part so don't try to fix it without taking pictures first. I was able to fix mine with a dab of JB Weld* With customer service, I wrote Solongtattoo.com & they sent me the part I needed. I also wrote CNCtattoo.com & as soon as I mentioned "broken" they didn't reply back, so I suggest writing their mother company, Solong. With being a Chinese company, 99% of every machine you buy will have SOMETHING to do with China! same with tattoo ink.. the bottles are made in China. There's very little you can get nowadays that doesn't have anything to do with a country in Asia. That being said, I have every Hawink Q-series machine EXCEPT for the Q2. I think the Q1 is pretty close. The Q3 (pill) is similar & also has the Faulhaber & the Q5 (grenade) is a little bulkier & has the japanese motor. All direct drive & all work great. The only things I had a problem with is the drive bar breaking off the eccentric wheel- don't get me wrong, I was pissed because it broke right away, but they sent me a new one quickly after I emailed Solong tattoo, so customer service is good, and to me that is HUGE because ALOT of those chinese companies will give two shits about your complaint. I also ordered a 4mm eccentric wheel from the machine company Xnet & made it fit in my Q1 for a 4mm stroke. I would also highly recommend these machines. Congratulations on 100k subscribers! You blew up quick!

  • @ArtSomething

    @ArtSomething

    3 жыл бұрын

    Wow great info brother. I hope others see this if they are having problems with customer service. smart idea to email Solong directly. And im sure the Q2 is super similar to the Q1,3 and 5 as they are all direct drive and about the same size with similar motors. I also like the idea of switching out the cams for a longer stroke. I could see how you could almost build your own liner, and shader. Again I hope people give your comment a read as there is a lot of good info here that could really help someone out. Thank you again Brother really appreciate the consistent support and info you provide to both me and everyone else here. Keep being awesome and Keep ROcking!! 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘

  • @graffics7665

    @graffics7665

    The only problem with ordering the eccentric wheels is the only place I've found them so far is AliExpress. You can buy the original CNC Q-series one for $20 if you click on the machines on there they give you the option to buy it or the Xnet/Ambition one is around $12 but I had to bend my own push bar to fit it with needle nose plyers & standard needle bars. It took a few tries but I was able to make a few with some practice.

    Needed this positivity today. Im in the Midwest and we have had -20 to -30 Temps. I had a pipe burst in my shop last night and all my supplies were unsalvageable. Its been a hard day. Thinking about getting a CNC-Q2 to replace my cheyenne that was lost in the water ♡

    OH WOW sooo Sorry to hear about that.... 🤔. I'm from the midwest as well and I know how bad those cold temps can get and its just really sad to hear everything is unsalvageable. With that said the CNC-Q2 is a great option at a decent price. It runs differently then the Cheyenne as its more punchy due to it being a direct drive, but I think you should really enjoy it. Again really sorry to hear about your day Mandii, I sure hope things start to look up.

    Watching you over the last months working with the CNC Q2 made me think quite a bit about picking up a pen aswell man. I usally use Coil Machines as my go to but got myself a semi direct drive one last year. From what you said about the machine and what you like, that could maybe suit you too, if you are interested I use the Stigma-Rotary® Hyper V3 as my go to Rotary. (They also got the V4 now but that one sucks). Can only recommand it. Great video as always and already congrats in advance to the 100k man, you deserve it for sure !

    The research available was perfect timing for those of us looking for something different. I used the Xion Spektra from FK Irons. Very nice pen machine with adjustable options. I bought the CNC-Q2 due to the research and the motor. I did unfortunately have some issues with my machine after a busy Friday The 13th. Sent the machine to the manufacturer and bought a new one whole I waited. So I now own multiple CNC-Q2 machines. They hit so hard and the lines work is crispy. I'd like to see a version with adjustable stroke. I know there are new lines of machines that come work that. The CNC-Q2 model is great and I highly recommend it.

    I just started getting back into tattooing after a 6 year hiatus due to many things but my old coil machines aren't working anymore (imagine that) so I'm glad I found your videos but I can't find the CNC- Q2 and was wondering if you knew anything about the CNC-Q3? I dont know if I should get the Q3 or continue searching for the Q2 would love to hear your thoughts. Also I'm blown away by how much more info there is out there than there used to be, I'm currently binge watching your channel, you make everything so easy and informative and I really appreciate it!

    I agree I have really fallen for the Q2 as it has met all my needs and for the price its a great machine to try out. Your right it does have the same brand motor as the bishop wand series but they are sadly not the same motor just the same brand. (as far as I understand it and from my research) but hey I have no reason to hate the machine at all. And I still recommend this machine to anyone looking to get into tattooing. #q2gang!
