Belle Meade outside Music City was the site of the former Nashville airport at one time. Today it is the Belle Meade Country Club Golf Course. I would spend my time along the Greenway when I was in town. No one hassled me. I had a creek nearby and a grocery store a ten minute walk away. And it was quiet -- very dark and quiet -- which allowed me to sleep and "decompress" from the cars, pedal taverns and music from bars on Sourh Broadway.
