I’m sure Major League Baseball is having nightmares about the Cleveland Guardians. But seriously. Cleveland has been in the thick of things in the AL Central for a lot of years. Nothing shocking about what they are doing in 2024. Enjoy the season!

Very true. They always contend for the division title, but this year seems way different. The AL Central has been among the weakest divisions in baseball the last several years with the winning team hovering near .500, but doesn't seem to be the case this year, so Cleveland being so good means more.

A Bichette trade would be interesting but I can't see it happening. I live close to Toronto and if Cleveland acquired BB via trade it would cause a rift among Toronto fans and the front office. This has always been my team... But the way they are playing is amazing. Hopefully with the addition of Gavin Williams this team will be over the top. 5 good starting pitchers.

What I think gets loss in the Guardians talk is that a lot of these players are now in the 3rd or 4th season. They've matured and have experience.

You're opening sentence was like a triple that bounced off if the fence funny and the runner rounded third too far and got caught in a rundown that involved 6 players but then got out of the rundown that involved six players and got back to third sliding in safely when the ball trickled past the fielder's glove towards the third base dugout and the runner hopped up and made like he was about to take off for home again but everyone in his dugout yelled no and even the players on the oppoing team yelled no!!!

Freeman has been very solid and leagues better than straw. No reason to do anything there imo. SS is a problem but schneeman has been great so far

Something is wrong with how they measure HR in that park. There is no way that ball Jazz hit was 458. MAYBE it went 430, not way 458. Arias HR was about 15 feet shorter than what they labeled it as well.

Bo Bichette would not be a good trade. If you have learned anything about Cleveland baseball, the goal is always to keep the needle moving forward. If Bo Naylor was traded, our primary catcher would be austin hedges. Id rather have Naylor batting over Hedges than Bichette over Arias

And they're doing what they couldn't do much last season outside of Jose and Josh Naylor (should have been on the All-Star team) which is to hit HR's and timely two out hits & HR's (so far). The Yankees will probably do what they most often do to them beat them in the playoffs. Let's hope not.

Cleveland will win the AL Central and make it to the ALCS

No. The name has changed 5 times in team history, and it will change again someday. Get over it. The name is NEVER coming back. Hell, you can’t even say the word on network TV. How do you expect MLB to deal with a team in the playoffs with a nickname that isn’t allowed past network censors? You gotta get over it man, the new name and logo are cool, and better than anyone could’ve expected when they announced the change. The merch is great, the city connect uniforms are fire, and the team is succeeding. Oh, and best of all, you don’t have to walk through dozens of protestors to get in the gate at home games. You gotta cope man. We’ve all gotten over it and you’re basically on an island with a couple dozen other people who can’t handle change. Nothing about the previous nickname is meaningful to the city, and it originated during a time that the team didn’t have a name and newspapers called them the “Indians” because Nap Lajoi was the only good player on a terrible club (equivalent to calling the Cavs the “Lebron’s” during his first couple seasons since he was surrounded by dudes like Ricky Davis). It was a derogatory name used to make fun of how bad the team was immediately following the historically awful seasons as the Spiders. Why would anyone pine to hang on to such an embarrassing way to address an otherwise excellent organization?
