But DJ Frankie Crocker from WBLS went against the grain and played it anyway. True story! How times have changed!

Same here it happened in Los Angeles on KJLH, The Clark sister to them to play it ANYWAY. And it SAVED SO MANY PEOPLE WHEN IT WAS PLAYED ON A REGULAR RADIO STATION. THE Reason why I know, because I was one of those sinners that heard this song, and I fell on my face and asked JESUS to come into my life. God has truly been good to me. I was down because I was deceived by someone I never thought would hurt me but God brought me from a very lonely place in my life. I thank you Lord for loving me and I want to thank the Clark sisters for creating this song. I can breathe now and know that God truly loves me and works everything out🙂🙂🙂🙂

FACTS🙏🏽

For years i never knew the name of this song that went mainstream on many Disco stations when released. This was such an upbeat & up lifting song. As i message this comment it was played on WBGO in NEW YORK in the morning then by coincidence this appears on my phone screen automatically something told me to play this i am glad i did. I was a Jehovah's Witness back then.. but i love soul music to the world to hear & not censor beautiful music like this. This has made my day in tears of memories but as joy. Thank you.

This song came up in mind and Spirit yesterday while I was gardening. The line “can I get witness, anybody know Jesus?” came through in a mighty way. I hadn’t heard it in years.God is good. 🙏🏽💜

At work now, chills down my spine. Reminds me of my childhood. God is good.

As a kid my grandma had the single and would keep the record on repeat while cleaning. Back in the early 80's I loved the percussions. That piano breakdown was the hit. "you are the life lineeeeeeeee"

I'm 49 remembering being a little guy listening to KAZi atx stand up with my grandma this gave me chills bk then I'm feeling the same as I did as a kid .but now grandma gone with God 3 yrs now this song keeps my granny.i wasn't the best grandson but.she taught me this right here God is my life line .I hope this brings some tears of joy from anybody feeling unloved u r loved

I remember a Legendary Chicago House Music DJ Ron Hardy would play this song in the middle of a party at 2am and the crowd loved it. ❤️

❤I got a Testimony about this song. "You brought the sunshine" In 1983 when I first heard the song me & My baby loved it ,my sister in law has a beautiful voice and they would sing it , we loved it my baby was about 18 months old ,We went to get her favorite food pizza and after dinner we was walking home Myself with her while my husband walked with our Goddaughter (our first baby) well all I remember was 3 1/2 weeks later I woke up in a hospital coming out of a 3 1/2 week coma and My baby now an 😇 Angel , I had to learn to walk ,talk , everything all over and that song was one that truly brought me the strength to continue ,years later I 5:55 had surgery and I couldn't get to her grave for her birthday I was so sad but I was listening to Busey Bugs and all of a sudden blasting out loudly I heard you brought the sunshine and it made my day I felt like that was the answer; a few years later my daughter won a contest at the station and we went and Bugsey wasn't there at the time so he took my number & called me that night and I explained to him what happened and on the radio that night he shouted out my baby and then again on another birthday of hers. ^YOU BROUGHT THE SUNSHINE ' was truly the answer for us Thank you All, Thank God for all and I saw the movie a few times and today I saw it and tears came down my cheeks thinking of my baby Spunky.

I Feel sunshine in my spirit everytime I hear this gospel Jam. The Clark Sister are gospel royalty never to be duplicated only imitated.
