The City of Aswan, Egypt - A Magical Place to Visit
Aswan neither have that many places to visit not it is as old as the places of Luxor or Cairo. But this place has a magic of the Nile. If you want to enjoy the best experience of Nile; Aswan is definitely the place. It also has the world renowned Philae Temple; which must be visited if you are in Egypt.

Very curious how you shot the temple with no people around? The temple is usually very busy especially in the winter which is the tourist season! Great video!

Thank you for passing by… 🙏 I have touched it a bit in our guide to Egypt. kzread.info/dash/bejne/d6F8xqqipdHRZ8o.html Basically you need to get there early to be the first person to enter. Then you would have 10 or 15 minutes when the temple is still empty. Mostly people go with guides and they arrive a bit late. And the ones who come early; take time to explain the history. That is the time to get the temple for yourselves. And yes it gets packed and we were there during the busiest time of the year; Christmas. But I always say that if I can get an image of the Colosseum in Rome, Eiffel Tower in Paris without people; I can get any place without people. 😀 Important is to choose the right time and you will be set.
I am loving these videos, and you were able to shoot all of this footage without actual permits? You’d almost think you had permits considering how little people are around you in the historic monument shots!

I really enjoyed your channel 😃. Have recommended to quite a number of friends. Our family is going to Egypt this Christmas, which is the same time as you. While planning the itinerary, I saw that taking the Nile cruise seems a popular way to travel between Luxor and Aswan. Wondering why you did not take the cruise. Was it because the temperature in Dec? Please share your thoughts. Really appreciate it! 🙏

Thank you… 🙏 So this was our 3rd visit of Egypt as I mentioned in our Egypt guide. We did take the Nile cruise in our first visit back in 2008. It is normally very good and relaxing. But it has a fixed schedule. This time we wanted to be a bit more independent mainly to be able to film those amazing temples properly. That wouldn’t have been possible if we would have taken the cruise. Hence we slipped it for this time. There is no other reason. If it is your first time it makes complete sense to go for it. At least few nights. Maybe travel from Luxor to Aswan with the cruise or coming back from Aswan to Luxor.

This episode saw you shooting with a handheld stabilizer. Did you use autofocus or manual focus on the other boats you shot while traveling along the Nile by boat? Also some of the footage of your wife walking was shot using R5 4K60fps?

Thank you for passing by… 🙏 I am assuming you are talking about the Nubian village. I didn’t find any specific name except Nubian Village. There is only one in Aswan that is popular for boar trip. Just search in Google and you will find it.

I have seen your blogs. They are very explanatory. I would like to visit Egypt from Kolkata. Please can you suggest, whether it is possible to take a direct flight ( ofcourse with layovers) from Aswan to Mumbai?

Thank you for passing by… 🙏 I did a quick check and there is no direct flight. Better to come back to Cairo and there are lots of options from Cairo.
Had to stop watching. More about the place please, and less arty shots of you. Otherwise , great scenes until I stopped watching out of frustration.
