Cinque Terre, or the Five Lands of Liguria, is an eight-kilometer stretch of rocky coastline along the Ligurian Sea. In this area, there are five small villages - Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore. The entire territory is considered a national park of Italy and is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. It is one of the least polluted areas on the Mediterranean coast, and almost all automobile traffic is prohibited here.
