Today I had my grandmother's funeral.. She was that kind of person everybody would like to meet on the road. Always kind, full of good words for everybody. She was wonderful. And I don't think it only because she was my grandmother. While tears are coming down on my face, I want to say: thank you. For all the moments, for all the things you taught me. I am what I am also because of you. I love you.

This song kicks me right in the feels. It is a reminder that I am alone... I barely have anyone to talk to now days. People have been slowly leaving my life in the past year. Friends... And soon family. I feel emptiness. A terrible dark emptiness surrounds me. Hopefully one day I find a home where I don't feel alone.

Eric Losness Thank you C: I have been doing more and going to the hospital to volunteer! I actually want to choose a career in the medical field (maybe a doctor or even a surgeon). Today one of the nurses is looking in to hooking me up with shadowing a surgeon. With that being said I would be in an operation room and actually get to see procedures being done. I guess this is the first time me telling anyone! I'm super excited about it.

Just found out i had cancer today, this song keeps me sane and alive. Respect cinematic orchestra for making such a beautiful song which gets me through my years left alive.

one of my good friends got diagnosed with it earlier this year and finished all of her treatment a couple of days ago, watching her go through it was hell, let alone having to deal with it herself, but she made it through and I'm sure you will too, keep your head up you'll be fine :)

Its bowl cancer or however you spell it, there is a %60 death rate the doctor said, so I'm praying for me to be within that %40.

This is twisting my emotions because this is how I feel in my life. It's hard on me, but I keep pushing. Man you've just completely put my emotions in a bottle. This is beautifully written.

I've always thought to myself that, if I could ever have any superpowers, they would be invisibility and teleportation. I've always wanted them to have been able to disappear from the countless times where I felt small, unworthy, where I was bullied, hated, abused and discriminated against. All the four times I've been raped as a child. All the times I felt suffocated by a father who knew nothing about parenthood and did nothing but hate me and make me feel like the worst creature on the planet. Now that I'm a 32 years old man, with all the pain in me, I wish I could have a different superpower. I wish I could become a celestial being that can become one with every hurt soul in the universe, to actually make them KNOW and FEEL, that there's someone who can understand their pain, and feel it. To know and feel that there is someone there with them, not just for them. To make them feel this warm feeling of safety. To make them feel that they are worth way more than they think they are. I always wished for that celestial being. I'm sorry for everything you are going through, I am sorry for all the things you have to put up with, I am sorry if you feel helpless and shackled. Please believe that everything happens for a reason, a good reason.. even if it feels like hell.. you are going to be free and in control one day, you will be what you always wanted to be. You are strong, you are love, you are care. Have courage and be kind. I love you, from the bottom of my heart.

Absolutely every time. We lost my Dad in October and this song is about the life and love he gave us, and it expresses my grief and sorrow so perfectly.

Nothing touches me more than somebody who does good for complete STRANGERS, who uplift an unknown person, without expecting a thing from him or from life. These people are ambulant lanterns, generously illuminating people's life. You gotta pay very close attention to see them, for they are very few, but so shiny! LOVE FOR ALL OF YOU!

back in the homo sapien days and before that even we used to wonder around in tribes. We'd hunt in groups and generally always live as society. For fucking...millions?...of years. I dunno. But long enough for dependancy to be a part of our genetics. Not really dependancy but socialability. It's a new thing for people to be anti social. So I hear. I 'm no scientist.

Today my ex wifes mother passed away. I don't know how my life ended up this way. I lost the woman I loved. I can't go to the funeral of her mother. My mother in law was the most amazing woman. She treated me with respect, kindness, love, understanding and support. I wish I was still with her daughter. But that won't happen. I'm stupid for what I did. The world was better with Shannon in it. Its now not as great as it was. I will miss her with all my heart.

I think this song resonates with so many people (besides the actual song itself because it's so freaking beautiful) is that it's been used EVERYWHERE which it should be. It's an emotionally wrecking song that makes everyone feel so much, doesn't matter who you are. It's been used so much during very pivotal moments in film and television it also has an emotional memory attached to it.

It means movement, events, sad things that happen. It means turbulence in life, it means happiness. It means much more than fake reality set by media. The artists (including The Cinematic Orchestra for the use of this song) gets paid for the song being used and it's free publicity for it. Plus, there's nothing wrong with getting emotionally invested in a movie or tv show. It's called the distraction from real life as a simple coping mechanism that humankind has done since the first story was written. The amount of people that come to watch this video more than likely heard it in a movie or tv show so I think you just need to chill.

Lying on your bed with the window open, you can feel the breeze and the room is totally dark with the help from the moonlights. Look up to the window, the moon and the stars are only your friends at the moment. Thinking what you have done for the whole day. Feeling tired and listening to this song as soon as you get to the bed. Then without realized it, you felll asleep to the sound of heaven.

This song always reminds me of my childhood, the joy and love I felt growing up around my family, it was all so incredibly pure and beautiful, and as I've grown into an adult I watched as the most beautiful, incredible selfless angels of human beings turn to dust and I don't think I'll ever replace them, I'm left in a world so cold and I'm all alone now. This song brings out the deeper more personal emotions every family hides. It’s absolutely beautiful. Recently, my own family’s been falling apart, for the second time due to all of us still hanging onto my late father, who was an alcoholic and walked out on us. He left a mark on us. He passed away a few years ago and everything seemed to be okay. But just today my mom did exactly what she used to do years ago and attempted suicide. Reminded me how broken we all actually are. Really brings out the truth, my whole family has been showing signs of falling apart throughout the years. Putting up facades just to dismiss each others pain and act as if my dad never existed. In the end we just want to feel at home again. But I don’t think we had one to begin with.

Thank you for caring and just asking, it means the world to me. And yes I do have my family, my cousins and aunts and uncle. Who I know love me unconditionally. But this is something that they have trouble understanding. They don’t understand why we’ve never let go of my dad, why we still let him haunt us. They don’t know the pain of losing someone as irreplaceable as a father. There’s a void full of pain that’s unexplainable.

5:18 - The end is my favourite part. Feeling of relief, even motivation. Nobody can tell me that music doesn’t have the ability to heal. Incredible song.

When I hear this song it reminds me of those days when I was a child living at my first home and some of my earliest memories. Playing out side until dusk and climbing the tree in the back yard to watch the sun set. It reminds me of a time when life was simple, no worries, no expectations, and my only disappointments came in the form of having to go to bed earlier than I wanted to. Only because I wanted the day to never end. Those days are gone and I will never have them back again. Thanks to this song it pulls at those long lost wonderful memories that get hidden and only are now buried in sadness and disappointment... of what life really is and the true happiness I only took for granted.

Wow... I think of the excact same thing. When me and my friends were playing in the backyard of my first home all day and evening. We would just run around and play I don’t know. Now they’ve either moved or I’ve just stopped... You know... Talking to them that much. I wish I could go back to those times. Everything is so depressing now. School and stress. Nothing feels alive anymore. Everyone is just playing video games now in their rooms (me included). I was complaining about school when it was no problem. No homework. I was complaining about having to go to bed early or not getting toys or not getting candy...

I don't know... I was feeling the sadness at first, listening to the song and reading the comments. The more I read them, the more I became numb to them. One can only bear such an amount of emotions. Even the song doesn't feel as sad as I heard it. Funny how we can easily become accustomed to pain. The wonder of our emotionnal defenses.

I heard this song for the first time on “This is Us” when the fire broke out in the Pearsons kitchen. I sobbed! This song complemented the situation as the father had built the house and later passed away from the effects of smoke inhalation. It was a tremendous loss of a great man and father.

Not necessarily of her... but the emotions surrounding when she was here, and when she was gone. she seemed so happy, her smile was beautiful. She made me a better person, and was there when I had my own personal crises. She was amazing.. The greatest friend anyone could ask for. This song doesn't fit any earth level playlist. Each time I listen to this song, all songs I listen to after it becomes subpar, mediocre, plain... even a playlist of my all time favorite songs cant match this one song. This song not only takes me places, but places higher than the clouds, places none of us has ever been in. It's super rare for a song to do that to me. My ex girlfriend dedicated this music to me, well to us, the first time i listen to it we were using watch2gether, because we were far away, I'm from Italy and she was from Germany, we had a long distance relationship, but a the end, it didn't work, we broke up after 1 year, and in april we split up. This song as a sad feel, but I don't think of it that way. For me, it's the nostalgia of childhood and that feeling of comfort, that everything's right in the world. It's kind of a sad happiness for me personally.

It's been 5 years, do you still feel this way?

The scene in This Is Us with this song just killed my heart, I was crying so badly I couldn't breath. Jack, you'll always be in our hearts.

It makes me really sad, the fact that we are all doing this "living thing", together, but at the same time we can't get rid of the loneliness.

The truly amazing thing about this type of music is how it connects so many strangers from around the world, even through a virtual platform like the internet. It hits us on such a deep and very human level... It's nice to be reminded of how similar we are. Perhaps we should remind ourselves more often.

everyone is talking about this song making them sad and remember sad times, but i have mixed emotions when i listen to this song because it reminds me of happy times but makes me sad because i want to relive them all

it's so hard to live in middle of war.. everytime you wake up on bombs explosives and can't do nothing still i will never forget my friends that died through out this years :") this song can describe how i feel now SYRIA 💔

This is by far the most beautiful song I've ever heard, it made me think about the people I cherish the most and what makes me happy to be who I am. I'm hoping that one day this song will be played at my wedding when I have the first dance with the woman I will be able to call as my wife.

This year mt Granny died, I miss her so much she was thr when I was ill she made me tough bt she died coz of age barrier, Thrs nt been a single day I miss her so much, I sometime feels like shes around me,I still remember the smiling face of her, This is not depressing I suppose This is something is called as HUMAN FEELING emotions which money cant buy at all.I do get emotional most of the time thinking of her.Wish we could meet them who are gone for the last n final time to feel them n tell them how much we missed them..
