The Chrysler 300 is Back Yet Again For 2021! - Lineup Overview & What’s New?

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Today we check out the 2021 Chrysler 300, back again for it's 21st model year! First introduced in 2005, the 300 is slowly dying (selling just 29,000 times in 2019, its worst year ever), and not much has changed for a while. Will Chrysler make some substantial changes for 2021? Let's find out! ________________________________________________________________

@@MarspeedCars , the morons that are in charge of the Chrysler brand here need to be fired because they are fucking up this car. Also, what needs to happen is that Chrysler not only needs to make the SRT brand happen again for the USA and Canada in the Chrysler 300, but also, gasp, make Plymouth come back and use the Dodge Challenger platform to make the Plymouth Barracuda in all of the trim, as well as package, levels of the Dodge Challenger, as well as Dodge Charger, and the Dodge Magnum needs to be reintroduced, not just as a station wagon/estate car/shooting brake, but also as a intermediate tier version of the Dodge Charger in its normal sedan form, and then have the Dodge Diplomat as the base tier version of the Dodge Charger. The new Dodge Magnum, as well as Dodge Diplomat, also need to come with all of the trim, as well as package, levels of the Dodge Charger, and then there needs to be some more variants of the Dodge Charger in the reintroduced Dodge Dart (I did not hate its newest form, but let us be honest here, that car needed to be a muscle car), as well as the Dodge Dart Swinger, Dodge Monaco, Dodge Royal Monaco, Dodge Saint Regis, Dodge Demon, and the Dodge Coronet, along with a reintroduced Dodge Super Bee and a reintroduced Dodge Charger Daytona. The Chrysler 300 also needs all of the trim, as well as package, levels of the Dodge Charger, and the Chrysler 300 S Touring station wagon/estate car/shooting brake need to also be used in a luxury version of the station wagon/estate car/shooting brake version of the Dodge Magnum. Finally, the Dodge/Chrysler Viper needs to be made again, some more Plymouth vehicles need to be brought back on the Dodge Charger/Dodge Challenger/LX platform and they are the Plymouth Fury, Plymouth Gran Fury, Plymouth GTX, Plymouth Road Runner, Plymouth Road Runner Superbird, Plymouth Scamp (in truck and car forms), Plymouth Duster, Plymouth Duster 340, and Plymouth Volare, as well as the Chrysler Cordoba all need to come back. The reasons that I am saying that are that Chrysler is thinking that Buick, Cadillac, Mercedes, BMW, Bentley, Lexus, Rolls Royce, and such are jokes, as well as that they honestly have no time to fight back against them, but the harsh reality is that this is honestly THE perfect time to get the executives to have their fucking heads removed from their asses into making serious luxury muscle contenders for the luxury muscle car AND luxury muscle station wagon/estate car/shooting brake versions of vehicles...oh, and please make the Dodge Rampage and Plymouth Arrow/truck version of the Scamp come back on the LX platform because those vehicles would sell like hot cakes in the USA. Please let me know by a personal reply here to this message on what you think about these ideas. Thank you.

@@paxhumana2015 this is a huge dream list you’ve made that would be perfect if coupes, sedans and cars in general were selling like hot cakes right now. Chrysler found success to remain in existence since the recession because thanks to the 300 and all the variance found on the Dodge label. This platform is a cash cow that no one expected in a world of SUV’s to have last this long. Honestly the Hemi was Chrysler’s saving Grace in these vehicles. Even though crossovers are the most popular today, I see trending changes returning back to cars within 10 years. Chrysler can’t do it along, so until then no car is safe from being discontinued. Personally I don’t believe it’s a wise investment to resurrect all these cars unless Ford, GM and others are willing to complete. Again Chrysler just got lucky with the 300 family. Great car, no doubt about it!

One theory is that it eats into the sale of the massively popular charger, Which is pretty much the same vehicle, with a different exterior. If they do change the 300 in 2023, It needs to be drastically different from the charger. The only difference on the the interior of the 300 from the charger is the the shifter knob, the chrysler logos, and the dumb ass analog clock. It still has the same steering wheel, the same uconnect system, the same seats, the same rear seating area, the same center console, and the same vehicle dimensions as the dodge charger.

Just picked up my 2020 Chrysler 300C I ordered from the factory in Frostbite! Amazing vehicle!! I'm delighted to hear that there will be a 2021 model year and I agree with you 100% that FCA needs to continue building them and also needs to market them a lot more! An SRT version with the 6.4 would sell like hotcakes even if it took away some sales from the Dodge Charger they would still be selling vehicles regardless of brand! Personally I would reintroduce the Plymouth Fury! I would advertise it as Plymouth is back with a "FURY" Introducing the all new Plymouth Fury! Based on the new platform! Built on the same assembly line as the 300, Challenger, and Charger all it would require is different badging! What a great idea to attract buyers! How about a 2 dr. 300 but calling it a Cordoba? Equipt with a 6.4 Hemi? Add Napa leather seats and Wow! Power and luxury! Bottom line is Chrysler needs to market their product to attract new buyers. Best way is go a little retro with some old name plates! Brilliant Idea! 💡

Chrysler's example is prettt much why all American car makers are slowly dying off. We have already lost some iconic brands such as Oldsmobile and Pontiac. And at the rate Chrysler is going it won't be ling for them either. We are just around the corner from a terrible nation am depression. And the American car makers will not survive. It is quite I fortunate. The 300 is still my favorite "American" car. I have loved its style since day one. Other than maybe thru the 80's and 90's. lol But I think we can all agree that nothing great came from American car makers during those 2 decades. 😁😁 Love your channel and really appreciate you keeping us up to date on all things mopar.

But it didn't happen, the shape is timeless but its time the 300 received some new features that could support the shape,

AWD 300 SRT8 Jim Caviezel Edition. The Hellcat(HC) stuff needs too many front end compromises to fit all the heat exchangers. For example the HC has no fog lamps or adaptive cruise. And Jim would be a far better representative than Vin. In a very practical since they really only need go back in time a few years. In 2014 they had the SRT8, an AWD 5.7 option, special models like the John Varvatos, Glacier, Motown, etc. And the car had more features than current, power and memory pedals, steering headlights, HK sound, etc. The car also sold a lot better then, wonder why, lol.

@@terrymitchell4579 Well for starters it looks like the Durango has the same compromises. Secondly the factory supercharged 6.2 is a very different thing than a NA 6.4. The 6.4 doesn't need all the extra heat exchangers that the HC does. The 300 is a luxury sedan, it defeats the purpose to remove luxury features. BTW also no MDS on the HC engine. To be clear I'm not anti HC 300, but we don't even have a 6.4 300. Let's get Chrysler walking before we expect it to run. Also If I'm asking the impossible I'd MUCH rather have a 6.4 AWD 300 than a HC 300.

@Johnny Tuffnutz!! They do just not in the 300, the 5.7 is rated 370 in the Charger/Challenger and 395 in the trucks. In the Charger/Challenger that bump comes from a less restrictive exhaust. The trucks have both less restrictive exhaust and an active intake manifold. They need an active intake on the car 5.7. It's on the 6.1, 6.4, and truck 5.7. But not the car 5.7, there's little reason not to. In 2017 they started putting dual mode/active exhaust on the Charger/Challenger RT, but not on the 300. I totally get putting a quieter exhaust on the 300, I like it quiet, but having it able to open up would be great. All of the sport/top tier 300 models should get the active dampers as well. The 300 really should be a flagship model for them. But they're obviously intent on killing off the Chrysler name and sadly the 300 has to die for that to happen.

Agreed on missed opportunities. Many times in marketing the “experts” rely on their viewpoint (including education/ego) too much and simply miss out on what the consumer and market itself is demonstrating. It’s a shame that Chrysler doesn’t even try. Minimal effort in updating and advertising would breath new life into this model.

As much as this video is about the chrysler 300, I have noticed similar actions with the rams to the dakotas. FCA gave the ram that wonderful 8-speed transmission and pentastar v6, meanwhile the newest year model of dakotas still had 4-speed for a 3.7l v6 and 5-speed for a 4.7l magnum. Not saying the setup or powertrain choices are bad by any means (I love my '10 dakota and it has more than adequate power for the v6 :)), but the dakota was kinda pushed to the side when receiving necessary upgrades to be more competitive and appealing to future buyers.

While I've always been more on the performance side myself with a hard-on for the Charger, the 300 is its own admirable beast. It pains me to see Chrysler continue to mishandle such an icon. Mater of fact, it seems Dodge and Ram are the only ones under the C in FCA that know what they're doing. The Italians seem interested in taking the Jeep out of Jeep and all these "progressives" are eating it up.... And Chrysler is too stubborn to do anything that makes any sense. They will litterally bury themselves and still act like they've got a handle when they clearly don't
